That betrayal would run very deep.

Definitely, otherwise I’m going to have serious trust issues and question everything I know. Great the way plot is keeping us on our toes though.

I fortunately managed to catch LOCH in cinemas in China whilst on vacation there...It was not accessible to all international audiences who wanted to watch the movie, so I feel lucky to have seen it. Hence, I know what you mean when you say it has been a XZ "drought." I still feel like it has been a XZ drought even though I saw quite a lot of his posters and ads around China. I'm sat for LZH and counting the days.

Another one to look forward to 👏

👍 Looking forward to it 🥰

Would’ve loved it to go the LOTR way and have a trilogy with proper fleshed out characters and story line. However, LOCH seems like it aims to deliver a theme/message and to commemorate and pay homage to the novels (and 80’s series), thus a standalone film. Still entertaining though.

I agree it is best to see LOCH in a theatre if possible. Happened to be travelling in China and finally managed to watch it whilst in Nanjing at a Cinity cinema about a week ago. LOCH is no easy feat to capture into a 2-ish hour movie and they did a a pretty good job. Understandably a lot of story and characters had to be left out and much of the backstories are shown in fragments. But it still feels epic.

🤞 You never know, would be nice....but if not then here I'm sat waiting patiently.

It’s only been a month since KMLM and it feels like a LXY drought already so this is great news. 🙌😁

Not sure about Eastern writing but in most Western writing (especially films and dramas) when a character commits such acts and is not redeemable, death is often their redemption (ie if they have a redemption arc) or the ultimate outcome for them.

Agreed. KMLM has some exceptional segments. Eventhough the story and the ending was not how many of us wanted it to go, the ending was really emotional 😭 and the acting by the two leads was outstanding. Glad I stuck around for it.

@eliteles1 - I have also watched JJY in other dramas before watching In Blossom and also agree that this is her best performance. I wouldn't put portrayal inconsistencies all on the actress as the Director would also have a lot to do with this - it is almost as if the production hadn't quite ironed out how two different actresses should approach the same character. TBH with only two episodes of ZHHZ as Cang Cai Wei I fortunately hadn't become too attached or too blown away by her performance. Besides LXY has good chemistry with both actresses. I watched In Blossom for LXY and indeed he is superb and the best part about it, but there are also many other great things to enjoy. The costumes, the cinematography are stunning, and the story is well paced, with the subplots and investigative cases all connecting quite nicely to the bigger conspiracy case. For sure it is a matter of preference and perspective, but I'm happy I stuck with In Blossom to the end.

Fab! 🥰 Keep the projects coming so we can continue to enjoy and be amazed by his acting.

❤️❤️

It is a shame many people are stopping at Ep 24. I don’t blame them and the writers/directors have a lot to answer for that. Some of LXY’s best acting is yet to come and it is a shame many will not see it. I stayed on to watch his powerhouse performance and don’t regret it.

Yep me too.

Some aspects could've been done differently and better, but still so many things to love about KMLM. I enjoyed it very much and the ratings won't change that.

Not the only one.

❤️

It was heart wrenching and beautiful at the same time. Think the writers went for the poetic ending.
