What a fun (and sadly accurate) read! Though the number of words I had to look up make me question my vocabulary…
Lol. I also recognise it's a long read, for which I'm sorry. But, as you point out, I can dispense with KBL and TBL in Ten Commandments, whereas, given the almost industrial scale and quality of Thai BLs, it required its own dictionary. (Could I have been arsed, I'd have compiled a whole encyclopaedia!)
But of course you're right. An awful lot of it applies to BL as a whole. Fortunately, laughing at it turns annoyance into amusement...
No but that preview is criminal like they now we'll have to wait for a week yet they still put it. How can we…
Lol. This is queer-baiting, isn't it? (In the best sense.)
There's a part of me that pretends like this is nothing, that nothing will happen, because we've been burnt before, and I don't want to jinx it. But then, the state of my arrow key speaks for itself.
am i the only one who finds the subs hard to comprehend? that kaori's friend was way out of line. she is intentionally…
The subs are quite bad. A lot of the nuances are getting lost, and sometimes, they get things actively wrong. Sigh.
This is the biggest problem with Gaga, but they also have no money, which is why I keep encouraging people to give them more, because without them, we wonāt even have this show.
Oh, how I laughed my head off at that opening scene in the restaurant. Sei is just so damn nonchalant and matter…
Well, our two boys need to dump their insignificant others, and I mean dump them like radioactive waste.
Believe it or not, men like Fujisawa are not uncommon. Quite apart from questions as to their sexuality, I have had men ā invariably attractive ā who have led me on either for attention, or for companionship, but who would absolutely refuse to get physically intimate. But man did they get jealous when I attempted to see other people, or worse, they themselves will encourage me to go out with other men, only to want prurient details from it. Such characters were common enough that I even made up a name for them: vicarious wankers.
Quite what the girlfriendās deal is, I donāt know. I do hope the show gives us some insight into these erotophobic people, whether psychological or sociological, but without necessarily making it a question of identity. (Though if it is a matter of identity, let them be at peace with it.)
Lol. I havenāt seen this episode yet, nor read the entirety of your comment, which I will do after seeing it.…
Donāt worry, I have already shipped out lube, PrEP, $500 Deliveroo/Doordash credit, and a webcam, courtesy of us parched fans, to Tokyo. We are good to go!

Lol. I havenāt seen this episode yet, nor read the entirety of your comment, which I will do after seeing it. But I laughed out loud at the last paragraph. I think the last time I was that excited about a sex scene was Unknown, because the boys were both drop-dead gorge. But then they ruined it. Before that, it was probably The Novelist, and boy did that deliver!

Also, just for the record: I adore JBLs. The fact that I feel compelled to state this, and mark my comment as a "spoiler", tells you how tolerant this comment section can be for people who do not conform.

Yeah, I haven't kept up with Vietnamese BLs. But this one sounds interesting. I have also heard that the one VBL company which produces most BLs is going through some sort of acute existential crisis. Perhaps that's why the quality has declined?
Lol. It is watchable when you're doing the dishes, which is what I've been doing. However, it has kept faith with…
No, I haven't! I had grown fonder of Vietnamese BLs than of Thai BLs late last year, mainly because of Ba Vinh, and their endearingly low quality. But, I didn't know that the Thai drama was a remake of the original. Interesting...
I'm going to take a break from BL soon, I think, but if not, or when I come back, I'll add the Vietnamese version to the list!
Brilliant! As usual!See Your Love, mentioned below, actually follows all these commandments except for the first…
Lol. It is watchable when you're doing the dishes, which is what I've been doing. However, it has kept faith with the first commandment, and violated a taboo, so I believe the pearl-clutchers are gathering at the pews to condemn it -- which, to me, is an added incentive to watch. Next week shall be interesting, because the transgression is set to become physical in the best way possible.
Hmmm. Should I cross-post this to See Your Love then? Hardness-of-hearing is becoming a common theme in BLs. We've had one Thai, two Japanese, and now, one Taiwanese BL with it. (Is there a Korean one?) One more, and it will become a trope. Is it equality if disabled people get bad representation too? (I'm thinking of that awful Thai BL with the blind bloke.) Anyway, alas, I have to be fair and not introduce a commandment post-hoc.
I should check out Bad to Bed, since you and one other person I respect have both recommended it.

Interestingly, Iāve also heard that We-Ho gays use PQ as an abbreviation for something else: Potential Queer.
The world suddenly feels so rich and alive, doesnāt it?

I'll add Want To See You to my list. Sounds promising!

Okay, I'll check out See Your Love, and then cross-post it if I think I can keep going with the show.
