Oh my... GJ in red make-up is just pure hotness... This series may have lacked money but it certainly didn't lack…
True this! Also all characters makeup is soo good!! I can't help but to compare between irl ZZH vs ZZS. Irl ZZH is so different compare to ZZS beauty. What makes him stunning as ZZS, it's the make up for sure. ZZH irl is nothing like ZZS in episode 6, if you know what I mean.
Honestly, I don't really like this part of culture that transfer the CP inside the drama into real life. I admit…
I hope LLD fandom stays unproblematic because what I see in China, the one supporting LLD isn't the same people supporting other CP. Also the one supporting CQL isn't the one supporting SHL.
Unlike the international fandom, BL adaptation is subculture community but in China, they have the advantage with almost 2B people there, hahahaha. Even though it's subculture there, but with 2B population, the number is still big. hahahaha
I really hope so... Bjyx is one of the most toxic ships It literally ruined both their careers
I love this:
"I really hope we as fans can be humble and not be too obnoxious in fanning our favorite. Because no one can stay number one forever."
Entertainment industry is harsh environment. Everyone is replaceable and no one is forever. There are always be certain people or groups or someone who will take your place especially in this digital era like this. Each platform has their own star. He or she might be a king for today, but tomorrow we never know? Also capitalism always win. The one who get thousand dollars marketing budget and giant back up will be the king/queen. Treat that as investment for future endorsement deals.
Hmm.... I only can say perhaps you can read this as well to know more about ZZH and his ZZS interpretation: https://sipoftea.net/2021/03/14/word-of-honors-zhou-zishu-zhang-zhehan-and-a-perspective-on-gender-perception/After…

Agree for that. Selling real actor CP as part of your marketing is a big no no for me. If you want to do marketing, sell the story. Familiarize general public audience with content and on-screen CP character, not the actor CP. I also feel that selling actor CP isn't respecting the story. It seems like you don't believe in the story and the drama you've created that you need to sell real life CP.

Push CP narration is cheap marketing imho, because what you need to do is doing some editing then put it on social media and voila! Imagine how many followers increased from that. It is a no secret that a star can only stay popular in China as long as they have a great number of devoted and loyal fans who can create for them sky-high traffic numbers on social media.
Yeah, now CP is not like what it used to be, it's part of fan engagement now. CP now is just a marketing tool to create more money for whatever reason. But sadly, for many fans, this push narration can turn them into irrational fans that may jeopardize the career of the artist they love.

True this. Personally I never took actors/singers CP seriously because I see that as part of marketing technique. But true again that people took CP thing too far and yes you are right, too much attachment to CP (real life) will be jeopardizing their image and their future career. That's why I'm so sad :(

Shipping/CP culture is always there in every fandom. But it depends on the purpose, you want to make it big or not? Because anyway, CP is part of queerbaiting marketing technique.
What I see for BL adaptation content in China, big platform like 10cent which is so strong in marketing budget often used this queerbaiting marketing technique. Is it wrong? Of course not, you'll use anything and any means to get people watching your contents including queerbaiting. However sadly, I see they focused on their actor CP instead of on-screen character CP. The latest example being HYX/Immortality, they really did hard-selling those two actors CP interaction during 10cent Starlight Night gala in December 2020. Also if you are talking about TU/CQL CP , recently in weibo and social media there were massive release of unauthorized BTS contents frm CQL filming 3 years ago - from various source called fansites. It's illegal in perspective of IP and it seems somebody released it for a purpose. Thinking from digital marketing perspective, I see the released of tons of illegal contents like that is to keep the community afloat in social media and possibly increasing engagements also user acquisitions to keep share of voice.
Real person CP is like double edge sword, imho.
1/ It can be your tool to acquire new fans and new eyeballs for the show. Because eyeballs for the show = massive selling point for advertiser.
2/ If it goes wrong, it can damage artist reputation. The real sample is AO3 scandal.
On episode 13 now, will give the review later on.
