I agree that it was soooooo abrupt. But that's how it goes with CDrama. I don't like this type of suspense creation at the expense of the story.

I suspect that there will be a behind the scene plan together to trap the enemy. This drama has been using this type of suspense a few times already.

There are many ways to create suspense. You can google "how to create suspense". The way they are doing it is the easiest: "hiding information from the audience". And then, oh we did this behind the scene. You didn't know about it.

I would rather have the all the clues and decide for myself. This method requires more effort.

This drama has been using a tool to create suspense that I don't like. It creates a situation where audiences think that bad things will happen to the leads when in actually, they have a plan/conspiracy in place that we don't know about until they "surprise" us with a successful feat. Then they show the behind the scenes that they didn't show to us previously.

It's the easy way out of making an interesting plot. If you notice, this tool has been used a few times already.
I suspect ML and FL are working together to spy on the 3rd prince.

I am aware of the reason why. I read part of the book. The book explained the reason. The concubines actually "serve" him. It's even more realistic there.

It's mistake as far as people don't like to see a harem story, regardless of the plot line. They are used to having a ML so pure that he only loves the FL. He loves her since they met during their childhood.

You should see the comments in the Kdrama. People complained even at the hint that the ML might have a 2nd love interest even after they broke up.

This drama made a mistake of having ML's a harem in the storyline. It's unrealistic to not expect this type of relationship during that time.
The first 4 episodes are well acted and decent. The story is trite. But it's better than the new dramas shown today.
I would give it at least an 8.5

Don't watch the entire drama. I think it's not good even now that I've seen Love in Pav ... I only saw ep 15

The reason everyone ended that way is to move the plot along. It has to be drastic for the ML to turn out the way he is.

eps 15 of Red Moon shows more. ML is her son.

This shows that some people bad rating bc they don't understand the story. Plus SE shouldn't deserve a bad rating either. It should be dependent on whether the SE makes sense.

Watch Red Moon. I believe her son is the ML of that drama. I watch a little (ep 15)

The ending saved this drama for me. Gave it a 10 just because of the acting and ending makes sense.

Finished all 36. Although I don't agree with some of the storylines, I will give this drama full marks. I think both ML and FL did an amazing job, especially at the end. I don't think there is a better ML for the role. He is the best person for the role of Wangquan Hong Ye. Very convincing at the end. He reminds of the Yang Guo in the The Return of the Condor Heroes, with gray hair. He walks through the doors, bigger than life. And she was wearing white dress. They only look at each other, ignoring everyone else.
C drama is never perfect. I think this was entertaining, has a theme, and has very good acting.
Dang, now I have to wait for the son to grow up.

Not yet. Not planning to. Only watching this because of CL and the story is intriguing.
