They probably won't include the TOJ arc (beauty pageant contest) and the amnesia arc. Also probably cutting it short with whole fiance fiasco LOL

It's the same. It's around 16,5 hours for S1+S2 of Hana Yori Dango. The movie doesn't really matter that much, it was really good too, but not add that much to the story. So yeah, F4 Thailand could do it in 16 eps, they probably also cut some part too considering they want to lean on more grounded story

For me I think Gorya goes to Thyme cuz she thinks of him in the back of her mind and maybe he is changing to be a better person.

Curently rewatching Hana Nochi Hare, the sequel of Hana Yori Dango (F4 japanase version) and suprisingly, F4 Thailand really reminds me of Hana Nochi Hare. F4 Thailand follow the same plot points from Hana Yori Dango, but the message and the current development reminds me with Hana Nochi Hare. Hana Nochi Hare also more of a story of coming of age, imperfection isn't equal to disposable, talks about social class, and start the relationship in much more healthier way than Hana Yori Dango

Coming across your comment making me rewatching HanaHare. And wow... The second time I watch it, it gets sooo much better. Maybe because I already differentiate HanaHare and HanaDan. At first watch I was confused why this drama tried to be HanaDan 😂 but it's really are different and now I really like it. Haruto strugle and the message of being imperfect doesn't you're not worth it also really went deep... On the surface HanaHare may seem like soft version of HanaDan, but it actually so much more. It plays with same tropes, but making it more. This is sooo much better with present time

in JP version when ML mother, well basically ruin FL life, FL joins a pageant contest named Teen Of Japan (TOJ) to get the winning prize money to pay his father's debt (that was caused by ML mother). If she wins, ML mother won't touch her and her family and friends again. But she didn't win, she is the runner-up (2nd place). Before winner announcement, ML and his mother secretly made an agreement that if FL didn't win, ML mother will still let her go, but ML have to go to New York to study bussiness. So cuz FL didn't win, ML go to New York. But before ML go, they had a wonderful kiss by the sunset in the airport lanes (FL after knowing ML must go to NY, runs to him).

In JP version, the magazine shot and the second red card FL gets happens when ML still in NY (he had no idea of the red card thing happening). She goes to NY to confirm everything to ML, but they broke up in NY. Afterwards when FL is back in Japan again, boy who bullied by ML before kidnap her. He used her as bait to make ML come, but he never comes (he still in NY too). FL managed to escape and it's ML sister that helped her when she is chased. So yeah...

1. He did get beaten up, but by henchman of girl who done plastic surgery. He didn't get beaten up by boys who kidnap FL, cuz he was in New York at that time it happens.
2. Yes, japanase version also has amnesia part. But it done rather well in my opinion. It was ridiculous (and treated as ridiculous too LOL), but it was very sweet that they always finds a way to fall in love again even if everything reset

Bad Buddy having higher ratings makes sense, cuz I also see that BL drama also tend to have higher ratings here on MDL.

Yeaa.. Japan is Japan. Japan kinda has galapagos syndrome too so... Yeah

I agree the bar scene is kinda off. I appreciate they change it from the original (in which she was drugged etc), but I hope they made it more make sense and not all comedic

Yes. You can see out of all, Kdrama are the one that tend to have higher rating on MDL than other asian drama. Jdrama tend to have lower rating than kdrama and cdrama cuz... Idk 😂 Well my only explanation is Jdrama are mainly made for japanase audience without any intention to market it outside Japan, hence it's very... Japanase. It's harder to consume for general audience who have little understanding to japanase culture and languange cuz most are really contextual. MDL mostly are international audience so that's why I think Jdrama has lower ratings than others. There's also alot of stereotype of Jdrama being bad (it's not bad really), so that's also why. While I personally likes Jdrama, I also get the dislike it gets.

As for Thai drama, I'm not familiar with it so idk is it has higher or lower rating than this.

I don't think it's that low? Well that's coming from me who mostly watch Jdrama. Jdrama tend to have lower rating on MDL than this... So my perception maybe more skewed... Is Thai drama usually has higher rating?

Yes 😅 knowing how tight-knitted they are it's kinda off? I like they change this part but also maybe they could deliver it better?

Well, for me personally it works somehow with the wacky plot. I can feel the emotion and don't feel alienate. The characters may not be 100% realistic, but the characterization and emotion the characters felt so real. I understand clearly everytime what's the reason they said and do things.

Yes :") and the way he respect that Gorya feelings and not forcing it to her. Yup yup ^^ this is the reason why I never like Junpyo even tho I LOVE Domyoji

No they weren't... Even until final movie they weren't together at all. They have moments tho in s2, but that's it
