IKR?! With them, it's ride or die together. Given how this drama was not exactly focused on their romance, it gave us such a beautiful couple. Also, I love the found family element in the drama.
I also really have to point out how FL just embraced the transmigration. We could have spent 4 eps on her trying…
I feel that she was unhappy and lonely in her life which is why she took to the script world as well as she did. Even though she kept claiming that she aspired to have an easy, slacker life; deep down I believe she felt terribly lonely and unfulfilled given how after she became an empress, she sought to better the lives of her people.
Everyone banging on about what an idiot the female lead is needs to go back and watch this again. They need to…
Preach! What I feel is that most viewers refused to acknowledge that SYM is allowed to retain her intellectual faculties as well as her self-preservation instincts while being in love with LSL/NH.
I love TPOB to bits, but the fight choreography in that drama was a huge letdown. In this drama, the fight choreography…
I was hoping for an entire episode too and I too knew they wouldn't! *sigh* The reason why they went with the script within a script approach is due to censorship. China has some very strict rules about time travel in dramas. Since I was apprehensive about a BE, I am glad with the conclusion of the drama. Tbh, this drama left me wanting for more which is ironic because before I started the show, I assumed it'd be full of fillers. I'd say this is one of the better paced dramas. I had a really good time. For me, watching dramas is cathartic (a way to vicariously live through the characters) which is why I identified so hard with SXY being desperate not to leave. In the modern world she was all by herself, an orphan with no family. Within the story, she had a loving family and a husband. ADWAD has indeed been a beautiful respite from real life chaos.
I like Emma more, the characters in the book seemed to have more spunk. π
P.S.: Like your username. Austen fan, I presume?
