but it does not actually feel satisfying or thematically fitting for the story they wrote. like what is the point of doing it like that, what is the meaning for the story????? for me that is a sign of writers not confident in their ending

thank god I'm not the only one who HATES the stupid feathery shoulder pads lmao. yeah some of the costumes are amazing but some of them are just wayyyy too much. it's like if a five-year-old went running through a costume store to dress them and just picked everything they wanted
but I do think it is partly the bad lighting in this drama. they clearly had to light and color grade their scenes weirdly in order to add the massive amounts of CGI and the result is that the costumes do not look natural.....I must agree with AvenueX on this point in that it is like watching a video game. very flat and fake looking

my unpopular opinion is I do actually think this would have been a stronger more memorable drama if it went the tragic ending route
but they made TTJ way too much of a kicked puppy for that to work and be satisfying the way it would if they had tweaked the storyline......
at the same time I do not feel a HE is tonally consistent with the series, and I hate rushed happy endings more than sad endings. especially when it is just dropped as an epilogue in a "look we're giving you the 10 seconds sunshine and rainbow so you don't hate us and stop giving us money" way. that feels so cheapened to me
