the rating is likely decreasing because many people are rating from 6 to 8....you can see a lot of thought out reviews from people in that range who did watch the whole drama
if you think it is a perfect 10/10 no one can take that or your enjoyment away from you. however other people are allowed to think it was not perfect. and no they are not all new accounts or "haters"
but if telling yourselves it's all antis makes you feel better then hey feel free 😅

many of us are okay with a bittersweet and even a tragic ending. many of my favorite dramas have sad endings in fact.....
the difference is they are done well...they chose a fitting tragic ending and COMMITTED to it
this drama has a very weak ending no matter how you look at it. it is not "open" in a well thought out way that is purposeful and contributes to a message, but because it was sloppy and no one can make heads or tails of what actually happened 😅
there are dramas with tragic endings that now have higher ratings than this one by the way......difference is in the writing
scarlet heart is a much more smooth storyline than this drama though.....and they didn't soften the ML the way…
if I think about it actually it is like tteotm but reverse 😅 iu's character tries to stop SML from going corrupt, but in doing so.....the ML who she loves ends up having a corruption arc and power trip that leads to the tragic ending. so for me I really like that ending there and it is fitting for a bloody historical drama!! even if they had a HE, I would prefer the tragic one there 🤭

still most of the cuts were felt in the second half for sure. they could have used their time more wisely if they shifted things around...
