instead of a season 2 I would prefer this team to just create a whole other bl drama with a different story. how amazing would it to be to know we had another gem to look forward to but with a chance for other actors too? I would love that

perfectly flawless? no it wasn't......but the artistic viewpoint, acting, the emotions it made me feel will be difficult to beat. this a top of the list for sure and I don't know when something can come along again that will give me emotions like this. well done to the whole team!

this is what I feared......sigh. I too love both lyx and bai lu but really I started watching for bai lu so it is pretty disappointing. ah well. I might as well finish it since I've come this far 😜

yeah I do get her POV technically speaking especially w help from people who have the context of the novel but just feel the drama has not dug into her POV as intensely as it has for the ml.

maybe I didn't word it right but it's not the toxicity that I don't like, in fact I am all here for the angst and wished it could even be a little darker cuz they made TTJ softer in the drama.......but it's just that the romance and level of obsession feels uneven and the drama doesn't let you feel LSS's pains the way it does for TTJ. I hope that makes more sense!

I would love a similar angsty drama like this where the female lead gets to play the LYX type of character and really get the spotlight! 😍

I feel bad for bai lu. she is getting dragged and attacked for a drama in which she barely gets any spotlight and people bash on her character too. this is an entertaining drama but the reason I started it is cuz I thought it would be unlike other xianxias and give me a really good and complicated FL to get obsessed with along with the ML. but instead I just get the luo yunxi breakdown show which don't get me wrong plz I see why people enjoy 😂 but I wanted more from this

it's hard for me to root for a romance when it's just......well TTJ is toxic obsessed with LSS and he's sad about it so I hope he gets the girl to be happy I guess 🥴 eh......

yep I'm the same, I'm a big love of angst and I usually sob at dramas like this. but the impact of this ep felt very dulled for me. "oh okay I guess yeah" was pretty much me too lol, especially after this comment section has been building up the tower scene like crazy

you are brave for saying that last part here lol. i didn't say it myself but agree with you. i like luo yunxi very much but his performance here didn't wow me at all, I don't get the dramatic comments from other people. it was fine but quite tame compared to how people are screaming and crying over it 🤷‍♀️

yes I agree with you! they didn't have to keep it 100% the same as the novel cuz I get it, censorship....it's understandable. but still no reason they could not have shown more of his bad side. it's like the writers were afraid of doing anything that would him not 100% lovable. how much more interesting it would be if he could really be chilling and we could hate him for a bit? 😁 after all that's the fun of a character like this!

it should be WAY more of back and forth where for one ep you feel bad for TTJ and frustrated with LSS, then maybe next ep you feel horrified by the actions of TTJ and sympathize with LSS, there should be this kind of balance

you know how when you watch or read a really good love/hate relationship story and you can never for sure decide whose side to be on, both sides are kinda ambiguous, and everyone can have a different takeaway.....you love them both but hate them both......this drama is totally missing that which is a shame, cuz it could've been the best kind of angst

after a while it gets tiring of just pitying TTJ and watching him suffer and not actually do anything too bad or frustrating......it's just a pity party, you can't even say anything against him really, and for me that is more boring than if I could have more complex feelings about him

i see now why they need ten layers of foundation caked on

I'm not someone who hates misunderstandings in a drama, I actually like it and think it's juicy and very human. but instead of being heartbroken these two have got me shouting at my screen like "omfg JUST TALK!! this one should have a comedy tag as there is definitely a good amount of comedy, just a heads up. it gets more and more into the more drama and serious side as the show goes on but always has lighthearted parts too

fl and sml have a history together but there actually is not rlly any love triangle, she has no feelings for him and the romance is p much 100% between ml and fl
