For the ones who will watch Sword and Beloved , please watch LIP to understand Hongye's decisions and behaviors to his son cuz this is the drama who shapes Hongye's personality, decisions and trauma. I know he will get too much hate for his behaviors but don't forget he has destinied to lose his loved ones and he experienced very tragically in LIP that he can't change this fate no matter what he does. He is not a green flag dad but no one can claim that he is main evil while Black Fox is still there.

People don’t prefer this one because of its ending 💔 I think it is cursed like Hong Ye.

It wasn’t aired first but main story of two other parts of Fox Spirit Matchmaker series starts with Love in Pavilion. It is the story of two strong families and people. Wangquan Hong Ye and Dongfang Huaizhu are main characters of this drama. They fall in love, get married and have Wangquan Fugui (Sword and Beloved main character). Sword and Beloved is sequel of LP with same enemy but different supporting characters.

Huaizhu has a sister named Dongfang Qin Lan and she has a son named
Yuechu. Red Moon Pact is his story. Little related to LP and SAB. Same enemy exists in this world too.

He is cousin of Yue Chu. Huaizhu is Yuechu’s aunt.

Watching ep 18 and I feel sorry for everyone except pawn Qibai. This maniac can use or kill everyone to be seen by his owner.Horrible !

The things you mentioned are not about taste. It is all about not watching or the capacity of understanding. From first part to the last sentence it is full of misinformation. This “Third party “ killed lots of people and built a home just because of his stupid love. Sorry but it was an obvious fan biased and calling it “taste” a big lie not to show true colors.

LIP tells the story of Fugui’s parents, the Black Fox origin and how strong black fox was. Of course this is another story but it can give hints how he was raised by his parents or how he became like this. Plus , it is better to watch to understand how damn strong Wangquan and divine fire are.It makes Fugui super strong too.It is a heavy, very tragic and boring (some people say) drama but I recommend you watch it.

For the RMP ,it is Fugui’s cousin’s story. Same black fox exists in this one. There is a tree which is important for the story but I don’t prefer watching it just because of it cuz this drama is really boring.

For the LIP , they kept all iconic scenes and lines. Huaizhu’s death scene is exactly the same. For the SAB , I think it is too early to say sth cuz we haven’t watched it yet. As far as I saw in trailers , again all the iconic scenes are same which is enough for me. To me , writers just wanted to write about the historical part of the donghua and they clearly didn’t change the results or the characters’ cores except explaining in detail.

No comment on LYT and Qin Tong thing cuz I don’t know
this matter.

For Fugui ,yes he is a side character.His arc as Wangquan Fugui doesn’t last much. We have limited info about him. That is the actual part writers work. Wangquan Fugui is the main character in drama not Wang Fugui or his current story. As long as they keep iconic scenes and the original ending it is okay for me to add details.

Now , I can understand why this triple has got too much backlash or criticism. Thx.

I watched both LIP and Ba Ye’s donghua part and I can clearly say donghua simply is a brief of Ba Ye and Huaizhu’s story. No deep feelings , no deep connections except basic scenes ,less character development. All with these , how can they make a drama without any details ? We basically see all the characters in donghua in the drama. We watch all the iconic scenes in drama but I guess it is not enough for you all. I respect this decision btw but still I think drama is way better than donghua itself. If the plot has completely changed or sth else , it would have better ratings btw cuz most of people don’t watch this show because of its tragic ending.

Same goes for the sword and beloved part too. Fugui is a side character. We don’t know anything about him except his basic scenes. His story lasts 15 ep for a 145 ep dongua so giving him a different world while respecting his basic scenes is okay for me. Writers don’t change characters’ endings or whole plot. They just add depth to the side characters so I don’t think it doesn’t deserve backlash.

Plus , getting ancestors’ names is very popular in my culture. I am sure it is not different for Chinese culture either so maybe that is the whole situation. Criticism before watching the material is unreasonable and unnecessary to me.

it is but I can understand writers since he has his own drama etc. Replacing thing is just my theory. If they want to stick to dongua , it is possible that they can do such a thing.

Donghua is mainly based on Yuechu so I can understand their point but being mad is little bit much I think. Plus , all of the dramas are way different than donghua itself. They are like different versions not an adaptation of the manhua or donghua so no need to make a big fuss.

If they are going to follow donghua plot , there is no Quan Wu Mu character if I remember correctly. The thing is , Neither characters nor the plot is same as neither in LIP or nor in RMP. For example , in LIP Yan Yan and Xia Wu’s wedding happened while all the characters were adults but in donghua , it happened in when Hong Ye , Yi Tan and Zui were kids. Neither Hongye or HuaiZhu were related to it.

I watched LIP as a coincidence and really loved it. It is still one of my favorites. For me it is way way better than donghua. I don’t have too much expectations for it but still I think it is gonna be better than the donghua.

I watched the dongua (Hong Ye and his fam part) and I don’t remember any relative except Feng Ting Yun. In donghua, Ba Ye ( Hong Ye ) was diving his clan into two parts before his death as Quans and Wangs. Maybe he is part of this plot.

Or when Fugui left the Wangquan manor with Qing Tong, He was almost dead but his cousin Yuechu saved him. For this one , may be Quan Wu Mu replaced him.

Tbh , there are many differences between the drama and the donghua except basic scenes so it is difficult to tell what exactly will happen. I think writers did a good work in Love in Pavilion which is a short story for donghua so we have to trust their work.

Zhao Lu Si is one of my favorite actresses. All these fan wars or sth is a whole crap.
