how much more interesting is this compared to red-moon pact? i wanna see this before sword and beloved comes out…
Traumatic but a beautiful drama .Plus way better than Red Moon Pact. All couples have their own dynamics. Some people say it is boring but I liked the pace. The story is confusing at first but it is getting better later. Especially if you want to know Hongye’s (pain) full story(Fugui’s daddy) , I recommend you to watch it cuz Hongye that is in Sword and Beloved was shaped by Love in Pavilion.
The things that Hongye did might seem excessive but I think he is misjudged by the audience. While black fox was…
I don’t think he was portrayed as a bad person in LP but he was definitely misunderstood by his son. ( I don’t know these shitty actions btw) . I think Fugui will understand him at some point after he knows the reason behind the situation ( physical violence shouldn’t not be tolerated ) or he wouldn’t have come back to fight with black fox. Not to mention that he has no idea about his dad’s tragic past.’
i hate what's become of the father considering he was such an advocate of peace and a loving husband. i guess…
The things that Hongye did might seem excessive but I think he is misjudged by the audience. While black fox was still out there to do bad things, while Yiqi alliance was acting like an ass , while he himself was slowly dying ; what was he supposed to do ?
Fugui probably has no idea about the black fox , alliance or that he himself is actually a kinda project of his mom. Hongye blocks all the bad things his son has to face and tries to prepare him for his horrible future as soon as possible. The techniques he used might be questionable but I don’t think he is a bad guy.
I love Gin Lin, her witty personality and how fiercely she becomes, when it comes to protecting her sister and…
I had same thoughts before checking FSM Red Moon Pact but watching the things Dongfang Yue Chu said about him changed my mind. Not sure about her feelings anymore.
Is this a standalone or is there anything else I need to watch first before this?
To understand Fugui’s mindset and the surrounding he has better , you should watch Love in Pavilion which is his parents’ story. The things that happened in this drama kinda shaped his personality.
Although not many people like it , this drama is one of my Roman Empires. I love all of the characters and their stories except Qinlan. I don’t like her and I don’t understand her hate for Hongye.
Edit : She is very cute in donghua. I didn’t like her portrayal in the drama.
Watching ep 2. Ming Ming’s facial expression when he killed the demon was so damn good. As viewers , we kinda expect the characters to adapt easily to another world and become heroes or sth but as a person who never killed somebody before , his horrified face and his shaking hands were epic.
Good story but too much screen time for bad guys. 12 eps are not enough to unfolds the story. There are a lot to watch about Seong Jun and Uji’s fam. I don’t think they can show it in last two eps.
I finished the drama two days ago and I thought that final episode was nice but when I look it back , I see that…
I know is HLL is older than WXY. I’m talking about character looking and narrating.
I just expected more talented and more dominating Yesha after the description they did. Maybe king himself, other officialls , one of generals for example. Simplifying the story by choosing a random person who is close to Bei Ming was disappointing. It could have been more complicated and better.

I didn’t say he justified. He was keeping dreaming of his talks with his master as if he did nothing. He knew sth bla bla bla. He tried to protect bla bla . He did murder , massacred innocent people. Bei Ming can’t put Yesha and the generals in same category while they aren’t different from each other. He can’t say to the generals that they have another chance. He takes side even though they are also criminals.
Neither do we nor Bei Ming have no damn right to say about choosing another path. He was being proud and again cocky but he was never in Bei Kun’s shoes. He judged Bei Kun but I don’t think he really tried to understand. Plus , Miao Yun is a crazy man who is not aware of anything but Bei Kun knew that from the beginning. He was aware of insulting , bullying , beating etc. I don’t think Yesha is good or sth but talking about right path while conditions are different from each other like black and white is bullshit. Bei Kun was only a kid who was kicked , bullied , beaten without knowing any good behavior. How was he supposed to go even his surroundings were like a hell ? Where was he supposed to go not knowing what good and bad mean ? These things are taught by the family. Where was his fam ? What did he see every day around him ? He was damn suitable to be manipulated and that Miao guy used him. That’s all.
Plus, Bei Ming wasn’t seemed like he was mourning when he turned his back to his real brother after super cool words. He just went and it was over. He was his real brother , he was his blood, How couldn’t he blink an eye knowing that he will k**l himself ? Even bloody Yesha had feelings to be sad while he was playing honorable and cocky playboy.
