Title Snow Flower
This is the worst mother-daughter relationship ever written. The writer is completely clueless on how to write relationships. The same goes for the father-daughter and other relationship dynamics in the drama. In fact, writing in general was awful. The story itself was too thin with little to no content. No one met the father in person until episode 11 which they had to because they needed to stretch it. It deserves even a lower rating. The writer couldn't even write a generic ending:

On The Final Match Mar 19, 2023
The cast members were so damn young almost unrecognizable. A 30 years difference brings a lot of change for sure. It's a decent drama with a banger OST but love plot-lines were weak. The drama made me realize why don't we get more sports dramas? The last "actual" sports drama from the participants/players perspective was Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo from 2016! I would love to get something like Slam Dunk in a Kdrama format. It's a shame that Shim Eun Ha quit acting!

An okay watch but nothing stands out. Big fat never-ending intense love triangle from start to finish. The family relationships portion of the story was fine but the romance/triangle portion sucked. Uhm Tae Woong isn't a good fit for romantic roles, something about it is just missing. Although the ending was okay but it could've been better.

Prepare for anguish because that's all you gonna get. I liked the characters and the story but my god they smashed the anguish button at full force. These old dramas have all what it takes to create a powerful story but they always take that route.

Title Miss Lee
It's called Miss Lee but all miss Lee does is crying, sobbing, whining and frowning. It had an interesting premise that went nowhere. This is one of the weaker business/work-place/drama combos.

Right from the beginning it became apparent what the writer intend to do to write this sloppy mess. Every small thing will alter to the writer's wish ignoring the most basic sanest common sense practice. It was really hard to look at anything else past this. No likable characters to be seen anywhere. Both guys that were chasing Do Na were pure cringe. In fact, their love triangle was the worst part about the drama.

I watch everything including soaps. I came across a few dubbed soaps in English over the years but they're hard to find. Reading the subtitles for a 100+ episodes might take some time but hanging out with grandma is worth it :)

Classic Korean society always blaming the woman. Anyway, there are two major problems that completely ruined the drama. The first being the writing. The writer was creating new plot threads and doing nothing with them while having other plot threads left loose. Some major events and actions left without a follow up. No consequences were applied. The other major issue is the pacing. I can say with confidence that no one working on the project had any idea how many episodes they were making. This is why the major incident mentioned in the synopsis took 14 episodes in the past before moving to present day. It didn't leave a lot of room for the characters to develop in the present. What's even worse, none of the development from the past characters carries to the present. The only thing that was carried over is the fact that the incident happen. This created an irreversible disconnect. What's even worse than that is how every story doesn't progress or resume from the past until episode 25. The way they concluded every story is actually moronic. This drama didn't need more than 8 episodes to tell its story from start to finish.

It was alright, as mediocre as they could come. I didn't like how it took the easiest and safest route to conclude all of the stories. Especially Soo Hee's story and the step-sibling rape story.

Title Mr. Back
Glad to see Jang Na Ra as always. Don't even complain about the age difference, it's a fantasy! What about all the +900 years old vampires out there? Anyway, Not much stands out but it's a decent drama with fun entertaining moments every now and then.

On TV Novel: Samsaengi Mar 16, 2023
The first 23 episodes were really painful to get through, mainly because they are flashbacks with the young version of the cast. The flashbacks didn't add anything to the story and they could have been easily summed up in 3-4 episodes. Even after the flashbacks there was barely anything happening. It's almost just a slice of life until the last portion. Relationships were awful and unnecessarily tangled in a love square where none had any emotional weight by the end. The drama has one of the most awkward endings, you can feel the characters melting from awkwardness. Even if I disregarded the flashbacks and the relationships, there wasn't anything else appealing to me, not even the cast performance.

Good choice for casting female leads but a very poor one for casting both male leads. Where did they get them? From the back alley? Weak screen presence and no chemistry with neither of their female counterparts. Unfortunately, the looks are deceiving and we didn't get what we initially thought. Just from watching the first 1/4 you may think this is about family relationships, sisters relationships and mother-daughter relationships but that was only a small part (20 eps in total?) before switching to an unnecessary work place competition and love triangle quarrels. Other dynamics were neglected too, like the other two sisters from the poor family with their old/new sister or like the troublemaker father with either of the daughters. The climax was weak, it gave all the attention and screen time to the love interest instead of the family as a whole which made Geum Ran's conclusion amongst the weakest because the drama ran out of time to even consider giving her a real wrap up other than a generic sudden change of character one. I liked the drama initially and its set up but it didn't quite deliver.

On A Place in the Sun Mar 15, 2023
Great performance from Yoon So Yi, I love her bug face. This was much better than expected. Compared to the writer's and director's other project "Love Twist" this is definitely better. However, there were many problems holding it back other than the usual drag of the 2nd half of all dailies. There were a disgusting amount of time-skips which made it a big turn off especially with that last time-skip of 3 years which also led to a cold ending. This is a great example of what not to do with time-skips. The other big problem was rape! They went through the worst possible way to set up the story. Once again, it's acceptable in Kdramas to rape a guy while being passed out then get pregnant to force him into marriage and create plethora of subsequent shenanigans. I've seen this maneuver repeated step by step so many times and Korean writers keep getting away with it! Anyway, the drama is decent despite the big misses.

It was natural for Mi Soo to end up with Hyun Woo but they had to force a divorce instead of making Hyun Woo's mother come to her senses. She remained hateful and despicable. Regardless of who's going to be her future daughter in law, she will treat her the same as she treated Mi Soo. The biggest loser in this drama was Hyun Woo.
