In fairness it wasnt a plot it was an explanation of how their marriage got to this place. They could definitely bring it back in but I don't think the drama would suffer at all if they don't. It served its purpose in the narrative.

I get it to an extent. Especially as she's someone who has always had to be self sufficient. Imagining a world as a burden to her partner (her viewpoint of the situation) would be the worst thing for her that's why she wants to keep her distance. She doesn't want him to see her cease to be herself and she doesn't want his last memories of her to be her not able to look after herself and him having to do everything for her even though he would in a heartbeat. In fact, BECAUSE, he would in a heartbeat and not think about his own wellbeing.

She's a parasite. She's never a good person even when she's working with the protagonists, she's just in it for greed and or self preservation and she doesn't care at all who gets hurt in the process as long as it's not her.

Forget what actually happened. How can you know that she wanders off and forgets where she's going and leave her alone in an unfamiliar place at night. Getting a bit wet was not the worst case scenario even if the devil hadn't come for her instead.

I imagine he or someone in his family is allergic or has the soap gene and doesn't like it so he learned the word to be able to ask for stuff without it. That seems like the kind of thing his character would do.

I wish I could inject the pathetic look on Eun Song's face when she outed his threats directly into my veins. How absolutely delusional does a guy have to be to think he can destroy the lives of your friends and family and you'd even consider giving him a second thought? Therapy and prison is what this man and his mom need.

She already forgave him from what she's said. She said a couple of episodes ago that she divorced him for his sake so he didn't have to be burdened by her / her family but his choice to still be "burdened" even after divorce might be enough to sway her away from her decision.

I think it's because Miyata says it implies it multiple times but it's never a proven reality just an assumption he has based on misconceptions. Just like his refusal to believe that Takashi liked him. And then I guess people who take things at face value ran with that. So far we only know that Takashi had what, one more ex than Miyata has been shown to have. Haha

It's so wild to me to not only cover up the murder of your child but to then also give zero consequence to the person who did it, allowing them to stay in power money and influence, but essentially traumatise the sole survivor through negligence. Like, he has no control over the media so the reporter I get, but your son in law? That grandfather can also rot.

Literally! Like we don't know where the road was so we don't know how far grandfather had to drive before he got there but I imagine it was a decent amount of time so they could have been saved if they had called the emergency services but they potentially left a CHILD to die and then BOTH targeted that child later in life. Evil people who deserve the worst.

The story isn't telling us that though, unfortunately. It seems like they're focusing on the father's involvement. Also, in fairness, even going fast they might not have crashed into them had the dad not literally grabbed the wheel. They are both culpable imo but the story is very much focused on the father who is currently trying to take over the heritage of the woman her murdered.


But you are right. The fact that neither of them called an ambulance knowing a small child was in that car at the very least is diabolical.

The absolute audacity of the reporter for THAT to be the story and him still be indignant about it. "I tried to stop him" really, sir? Did you try, I don't know, pulling over seeing as you were literally the one in charge of the breaks? The fact that he then a) wasn't imprisoned after his actions directly led to two people's death and b) still came after the children he orphaned IS WILD. I know he's irrelevant to the dad so he won't see comeuppance but I need him to be hit by an infamous white truck.

This might be stupid but would it even have mattered if Dohan and Ahjeong got married at the point where everyone emotionally involved in the situation would know it was fake? They literally have already all lived together and Jihan has years of practice living a fake / double life for his own benefit so could they have not just waited out the three years and then eventually say they found each other after Dohan and Ahjeong split? Is that weird to think? People in the spotlight have secret relationships all the time for a whole host of reasons including sexuality so it's not like this unthinkable unknowable thing.

Either way, I love that the three of them didn't just sit together and make a game plan. Each of them just jumping to irrationally fall on their sword for the others when honestly a little bit of actual strategy would have gone a long way. All of them have histories of scheming so if they'd have actually put their heads together they could have come up with something. But then how would we fill another two epsidoses 😂

I think it was more wishful thinking than anything. In his mind if she made it hed still need to divorce her because he hadn't admitted to himself that he'd fallen back in love with her yet.

Also yeah you're right that in a hidden safe in his house surrounded by security cameras would be pretty secure. And I assume from the fact they had to get professionals in he didn't make the code something obvious like his wedding anniversary or her birthday. We also don't know yet if he had another failsafe system in place to monitor his room bc this was originally the nursery? Maybe like the one forgotten star they left a baby monitoring device or something. More likely though they'll just find cigarettes or something in FLs expensive jacket and sus them out that way.

Then again he also goofed in not remembering to tell his family he wasn't getting divorced so he does also just mess up some things.

I thought this about Ji Han actually. He went straight to that when Do Han could still have easily been in love with her, just also had a history with men 😂

I gave a response elsewhere in this thread that kind of addresses your pointe and I don't want to repeat myself.

IMHO nepotism will never be eradicated in the entertainment industry because so much of it is subjective and requires you to be in the right room at the right time with people in the right mood and luck on your side. Imo time also isn't a good enough reason to give someone a role. Work isn't just bit parts or supporting roles and you don't see all the work that anyone puts into any role so that's why I focus on the end product and what their performances look like when they're done. If they're good they clearly didn't just roll out of bed and expect everything to be fine. And imo the villain at least gave a compelling enough performance to believe she put the work in to understand the character she was playing.

The thing is with things like talent you'll never know how much is "innate" and how much is "work". If you have family in the industry they will Inevitably give you opportunities to hone your talents and to learn techniques, behaviours etc that people who don't have connections won't so the in a blind casting call you could still get the part off the advantage your family has given you even if noone knows your face or name.

OP seems very focused on having small credits as evidence of work but that's not necessarily the case and just because someone has paid their dues doesn't mean they're going to be the right fit for a given project and I think the idea that someone is "owed" a part just through the span of time doesn't really sit right with me either.

That's why at the end of the day imo we have to focus on their performances and what they've actually brought to the role. As you said the actresses they named did a good job in the role especially the actress playing our villain. She really got me to despise her smarminess and hypocrisy but still sold enough feigned innocence that I could see how outside eyes would miss how terrible she was. If they were bad then I would definitely support the derision of their nepotism.

I'm not sure a neutral party would read what we've both written and come to the conclusion that *I'm* the one bringing the dramatics. Your opening lines alone are full of drama. It may be worth doing some self reflection on why you're projecting "excessive emotion" onto what I've written.
