"Proudly show this sickness"? Every single character who was a bully or even just acted as a bystander was not portrayed in a positive or aspirational light. The system was shown as corrupt and the participants shown as hypocrites and abusers. Even those who had rough upbringings the story made SURE to explain that this is not reason enough. Making the choice to put your pain on to others makes you a bad person and you cannot put the blame on to the bad things that have happened to you full stop. The bystanders took ownership of their faults including the one person they could have been like oh no she's innocent she helped WJ - Yerim says out loud, I stood by i should also receive repercussions. This is not glorification, friend.



I get it, you're not a fan of the genre but to say they were glorifying would literally need them to have portrayed even one aspect of this in a positive or pretty light. They did not.

Yes exactly. The entertainment industry is always going to be about connections because there are more talented people out there than there are the roles for them. But so long as those who get the roles do a good job, fit the part and don't leave only a monoculture of voices and styles in a project then it can hardly be an issue.

LJH hasn't been enabling LDH as much as he has literally been using him as a pawn. The reason they were ransacked in the first place was LJH and their siblings trying to dig up dirt on LDH.

LDH's plan also would have been fine if LJH didn't get involved. Partially because there's nothing wrong with marrying your best friend for a couple of years. People do that with people they care about way less.The main problem with people marrying their beards is when the beard doesn't know they're gay so their emotions aren't being taken into consideration. A set 3 years married to someone you love and care for knowing it is not now nor will it ever become real isnt a big deal.

I have a feeling there's just not a clear good person in this drama. ML is the closest we will ever get and given he's planning to trick his wife into thinking he cares about her before she dies even he's morally grey at best.

I feel like you've missed a lot of the mistreatment he's had from her and her family to get to this point. He has a heart, and his heart is why he's callous now.

While I do believe there's genuinely love there Ji Han is also using Do Han rather than caring about him. If he cared about his happiness he wouldn't be digging up things on him when he's asked him to stop. Setting him up with rather rich women or ignoring his wishes to not get tied up with this inhereyance fight. Ji Han isn't doing this because he loves his brother at all he's doing it for a better life for himself.

Firstly, is putting your ARRIVAL TIME in a post a thing that people actually do? Like maybe if you're taking a photo of the tickets but if not why would you?

Also do airline staff really require zero ID or procedure for unaccompanied minors? Will they just let them leave with anyone they know. Seems unsafe.

Lastly I'm finding it very hard to not victim blame when you bring no security, call noone for assistance, and don't even turn up earlier than your daughters arrival time knowing there is a psychopath literally out to get you and on the loose. Like at that point you're not even taking basic precautions with the safety of your child Jae Won, come on. Honestly personally I wouldn't have even brought my kid back til she was captured or at least until much much later but drama has got to drama i guess.

I think you're projecting a little bit calling them worked up. I think they explained quite calmly and methodically the problem with the title to them and as we can see the same issue with the title is shown in the subtitles too.

It's absolutely fine for a Thai show to only be released in Thai so having it have an English title is a choice specifically to also pull an English speaking audience. Just like it would be weird if an English show went for a random nonsensical Thai title without checking if the Thai worked, it's a little weird that noone checked if the English worked.

I feel like you'd warm up into it or ask first and for a reason. Like if you were concerned there was a problem or feeling particularly lopsided you'd ask your friend to look but i don't think you'd just flash them and ask later hahaha.

But people are different. Maybe that scene is forewarning us of what her character is like so when she does something like this later we can go oh yeah, thats how roommate is. Or there'll be some kind of mystery or problem and we can guess it's roommate because of this scene.

It's honestly just kind of depressing at this point. This show is the void where hope and faith in humanity goes to die. I'm very glad next week is the last week.

Literally. But the police can't go by what clearly happened if there's no actual evidence that she did what she did. It's just frustrating because why tf is that all the security they had on him? Why weren't there a billion cameras going?

Lol just because he was being put upon by 2FL does not mean he didn't purposefully plan to cheat w her best friend then literally gaslight her knowing she'd see through it.



You know what you do when someone cheats on you? You leave them. Or you do literally the smallest amount of actual investigation into the incident. FL did the WORK when she suspected him of cheating including digging into the background of his twin brother. He didn't do the work in that incident until AFTER he'd already ruined their lives.


What you don't do? You don't plot elaborate schemes against them and bring your DAUGHTER to your hook ups. If he's alive and she chooses to forgive him for cruelly punishing her for being raped (in that photograph it is very clear she is not able to stand let alone consent) that's totally up to the FL as she is written. But the fact the audience is giving excuses like he's not written to be a fully grown adult man who makes his own choices is wild.


NOT to mention he filmed 2fl without her consent to antagonise FL.

The problem when they introduce twins is there's always a chance that he's not until the final scene finishes haha.

I think my main thing for this drama is how well it expresses the toll self hatred / low self esteem plays on the way you interact with the world and how invisible that can seem to those around you.

Our three leads have very different traumas and backgrounds that lead them to make conscious and subconscious choices that are actively antithetical to their own happiness. FLs defense mechanism of being the one who sets the terms and end things so she is no longer left alone through others' actions, MLs defense mechanism of sitting with the status quo and not rocking the boat, SMLs defense mechanism of staying the "observer" desperately wanting to interact with the world on a more emotional level, leave them all stagnant and lonely and unable to move forward with the relationships most important to them. There was a catharsis in watching them look at their behaviours, address it at the root and make the active decisions to change. All while being a little bit petty haha. Which I love for them.

Did I get frustrated at each of them parts? Yes. Because other people's growth is slow and easy to pinpoint as an observer but hard to get right as the person in it. But I am so glad to have seen them identify their need to communicate and move in their own paths.

I just really wish we had seen more of the friendship with the ML and SML. I know part of the whole point is that they were still lonely in their friendship with eachother but I just enjoyed those times where we saw the connection moments between them and I think the SMLs story was a bit too disconnected from the rest of the narrative without those connective moments.

I binge watched it and it was great for me. I think it's just not some people's taste and that's okay.
