Even if it’s not on the same level as some other dramas, it can still be considered a masterpiece within its own genre which is primarily romance (so not really comparable woth NiF). And when compared to similar dramas, it is actually very good. Would it have been better if it stayed more serious and closer to the novel? probably. But even with the changes, it’s still a very good drama, a masterpiece for some, and not for others. That’s normal.That said, if someone wants to criticise it, that’s totally fair but the way it’s said matters. Dismissing other people’s enjoyment or being sarcastic about it doesn’t open discussion, it just puts people on the defensive. And once someone feels offended, they stop listening. That’s not how meaningful debate works it just becomes noise

With many cdramas, the problem is always the same: they start well, lose their way in the middle with many unnecessary scenes, and have rushed endings

it did but the way it was done it genuinely felt like one of those stories where the writer already had a sad, devastating ending planned from the beginning and no matter how much plot armor the characters had throughout the series, that ending had to happen. So they just started dropping like flies.You could literally feel it: Ah yes, this one? Time to go. And this one? Also gone. Let’s just keep knocking them off.At some point, I wasn’t even crying anymore it was just "Ding! Another one down 😅". It stopped being emotional and started feeling like a grim checklist 🥲

I feel bad for the baby if she didn't give birth off-screen at some point. I still haven't watched the last episodes; I just saw spoilers 😉 few more hours and i can finally watch

It wasn't the kind of drama that needed to kill off characters. It's not a gritty, hyper-realistic story where that kind of emotional trauma fits the tone, especially considering the plot armor the characters had in so many scenes. But I confess, at some point I thought they would go out of their way to make it overly tragic, so just two of the people around the leads being dead is actually surprising, and it could have been worse 😅🤷🏼‍♀️

They really turned him into a plot device from start to finish. First, he was there to be the comic relief, then they used him as an accidental spy constantly blurting out crucial information like a walking spoiler alert. And just when you think he might get some dignity, they sacrifice him for a dramatic crying moment 🥲💀

The main theme was clearly the relationship and emotional journey between the leads, and considering that, I think the plot delivered quite well. The romance was strong and well-developed. Plus, the secondary characters weren’t just flat background noise they had some weight, development, and some good relationship dynamics of their own. So overall, for this genre, it was honestly very well done im actually quite impressed.I wish they had used less filler comedy and instead further developed the supporting characters, but we cannot have it all 🥲

I felt the comedy was overdone in some parts, and I wished the plot would move past it. I like some comedy, but not when it oversaturates the rest. I still need to watch the last episodes, but so far I enjoyed the show a lot more than I expected, and I do like it so far (Episode 31)
