Is it HE or not depends on how you perceive "happy ending":
I discarded this one because of the "love at first sight" trope in the synopsis, and then I would still check the comment section every now and then in case I made a mistake. But with the "massacre of all the friends" trope, I can finally let go even if I like the leading actors 😅
Hopefully, they’ll release express otherwise I may just wait until they release all of them before continuing.
Oh, hi there! 😅🤣 I haven't started this one yet, as I wanted to finish "Blossom" first. I'm not sure if I should wait for UTS to finish completely or start binging today. Any advice? 🤣
I'm debating with myself if I should just check the ending before watching 😅 no i need to be strong and watch
What is worse, a convoluted, messy open ending or a sad ending? I can survive anything when it is well-written, but let's face it, most open or sad endings are seldom well-written. But when they change a HE from a novel to 💩 than i go ballistic 🤣
no hate to him, in fact I used to love his character sm but the recent development of his character arc just disappointed…
He did have feelings for her even before, but never acted on them. Was it well-written? Hell, no. They made an interesting character just another guy to create a mini reverse harem, like in every other drama. I blame myself for believing they could make a gray character who would go on a questionable route towards the same goal as the leads, you know, one of those polarising characters whom you don't know whether to support or condemn. But he doesn't seem that clever or a puppeteer to me so far 🫢
Seconded - I'm still paused at episode 22 so that I can just binge the rest of the show. I will finish this regardless…
The first part of the show was the best. Around the proposal/wedding, the pace slowed, and the overall feeling of the show suffered. Episodes 28 and 29 were very difficult to watch in one sitting. I like seeing the unveiling of well-written villains, but this was a disappointment. But I still like the show; they can still make it better in the last five episodes, but cdramas don't have a good track record for the last episodes or endings
In case you haven't heard, Brocade Odyssey called and want their villains back LOL
I couldn’t bring myself to watch it because the synopsis mentioned love at first sight from the ML. That trope is an immediate deal-breaker for me, so I decided to skip it altogether 😅🙃
I might be an extremely odd ball here but I STILL can't hate Ji Yong 😭😭 I of course choose momo and DZ over…
No hate, but i guess I just projected too much onto that cool, collected monk we saw in the first life he seemed to know so much more back then. I expected him to be this enigmatic figure, but instead, he turned out to be just another typical 2ML: a mere obstacle for the leads on their way to a happy ending (But i do hope for their HE 😅) JY after that confrontation scene with FL feels predictable, cliché, and honestly, kind of disappointing 🤣.
Now i dont know if i should continue this drama based on the comments cause im only on ep 26 and hearing that…
I don’t think she’ll turn out to be evil she’s just completely blinded by her feelings for SH. This makes her clueless about certain things and more likely to make reckless or stupid decisions in the future. I doubt the writers will go as far as making her a true villain it feels more like they’re setting her up as a tragic, misguided character rather than someone intentionally malicious
For a while I thought that the most annoying one because of her naivety, which makes her stupid, was Orchid from…
Sometimes, you just can’t justify stupidity when it starts harming those around you and you choose to turn a blind eye. It’s one thing to hurt yourself out of naivety, like Ming did, it’s tragic, but ultimately self-contained. But it’s entirely different when your actions start hurting others. Miao isn’t just hurting herself she’s sacrificing everything because of some misguided saviour complex she’s clinging to. Yes, people get manipulated and make mistakes, but there are some errors in life that you can’t ever come back from, nor should they be easily forgiven. Some choices have consequences that linger forever, and Miao’s choices fall into that category
So evil brother did do one thing right! 👏 Getting delusional girl's terrible brother killed was a very good…
I feel like the writers conveniently exaggerated her family’s terroble behaviour toward her even so now that she has a title, ignoring even how much she contributed to their prosperity. Yes, they were never perfect, but this sudden turn feels like a cheap way to justify the plot which, let’s be honest, has been terrible in the last two episodes. Her brother was a c*nt, sure, but not to the extent that his death feels justified. Not that I care about him, but it all comes across as so contrived, designed solely to make SH’s “evilness” and plans unfold more easily. Everything is tailored for SH’s benefit, but not in a way that reflects clever or thoughtful writing, it’s just lazy 🥲
Instead of giving us more proper development between Chen Jia and Zhangru, we get Miao and SH instead. What did…
If there’s a lot of blood and suffering involved, I’m all for it. No last-minute redemption arcs, just let them die in agony, fear and pain, fully paying for everything they’ve done 🤣

Because the drama could have ended before that, and it would have been a good and satisfying ending. But no. This can't happen in c-dramaland; it is rare, almost a mirage 😅
