Just about the story of the struggle of an independent woman's life by selling flowers. I hoped that Jiang Chang's…
No, please no more palace struggles and politics. I need a break from all that. 😅 This is actually the first show with Yang Zi that I’m really enjoying not necessarily because of her as an actress, but because her previous shows just weren’t my cup of tea. I did like her male version in Lost You Forever, but not so much when she transitioned back to being a girl. Again, not her fault it was the character I just couldn’t click with. What I love about this show is how the FL and ML each have their own things going on. I wouldn’t mind if their stories intertwine more later, and maybe they’ll even have to truly work together beyond just the business aspect. But for now, I’m really enjoying their independence. They both have their own struggles and challenges to overcome, which makes the story much more engaging for me. And honestly, this show is clearly more about the FL anyway the title Flourished Peonies says it all! In Chinese culture, peonies symbolize beauty, strength, and growth, often representing feminine resilience. This perfectly aligns with the story’s focus on the FL’s journey of flourishing despite her challenges. It’s about her personal and professional growth, making her the centerpiece of the narrative. The ML complements her story, but the title reinforces that her development and triumph are the heart of the show

This show reminds me a bit of Dream of Splendor, which I absolutely love. I’m actually glad the leads aren’t interacting too much, and he’s not constantly saving her, it gives her space to develop as a character outside of the romance. Sure, she wouldn’t have gotten far without him funding her business, but that actually makes it more realistic. It’s not like she could start a business from scratch just because she had great ideas, especially without the proper documents or support. On the romance side, I really appreciate the slow burn. When leads start liking each other too soon, they always seem to break up repeatedly just to create drama, and I hate that. A slower approach feels much more natural. Also, I love that the fl isn’t some flawless superwoman. She makes mistakes in judgment when dealing with people. She’s clever and business-savvy, but she’s still human, she can’t predict everything. For instance, I totally get why she trusted that creepy guy. Normally she wouldn’t, but she was so desperate, starving, and out of options that she wanted to believe in anything. Honestly, I might have done the same in her position. BTW, I just finished episode 9, and wow, what a suffering seeing her self-proclaimed righteous (he is anything but) husband again. 🤮

The Blossoming Love is surprisingly good. I say this as someone who dislikes xianxia.
I was trying not to watch it now, as I am watching too many dramas and am struggling a bit. You are not the first person to say this, and I am feeling weak; I will probably have to start it even though I am already watching too many things 😱😱😱

Title Flourished Peony Spoiler
I've not read the book but I've heard that Liu Chang's role is totally negative, like totally. Here in the drama…
Don’t worry, his feeling bad isn’t redemption for us viewers it’s just frustrating (regardless of what the writers are trying to achieve). I don’t see his so-called remorse as redemption at all it feels more like an insult to the FL. It’s honestly disgusting. He’s not helpless either; let’s not forget they were demoted because of his relationship with the princess in the first place. His parents may have taken his decisions away from him, but he let them. Instead of taking responsibility, he spent his time cluelessly complaining like a spoiled brat whenever things didn’t go his way, yet he never truly opposed them. Then there’s the way he treated his wife. He only ever thought about himself, neglecting her completely while pining after the princess. Even when the princess came back, he was still only thinking of himself. And for someone so “in love” with the princess, he didn’t even bother to find out what had happened to her during those three years that made her the person she is now. No, he decided he didn’t want her because she no longer fit the idealised image of the woman he once loved. Now, he’s decided he wants his wife. Why? Because it suits him. There’s no accountability, no understanding, and no genuine effort to grow. His supposed remorse feels shallow because it’s not about the harm he caused it’s about what he wants at the moment. His actions just show that he’s a selfish person, treating the people in his life like objects to fit his own desires. It’s not redemption it’s entitlement. I really hope they don’t try to push his redemption down our throats, especially when the only way he could ever earn it is by staying far away from the FL, the princess, and his psycho family. He should focus on building a better life for himself with another woman, becoming a better person completely removed from their lives. Only then could he have a shred of redemption by doing the work on his own, not at the expense of FL. But let’s be honest, we already know he’s just going to stick around and annoy us in the future. His presence alone is irritating, and the idea of him forcing himself into FL’s life again just makes it worse 🤮 kudos to miles for portraying such a disgusting guy. ps and I'm only at ep 7 😅

Ugh, please. If you think Blossom was good, I don't trust your taste. That show had 3 good episodes and went down…
But I'm not here asking people to trust my taste, just asking something about the show 🙄. We can't all like the same things; the world would be boring. Yes, normally I watch more episodes to form an opinion, but I was so busy that I am behind in watching different shows, so I prefer asking others to help me decide; mostly people are very helpful in the comment section 🙂

Thank you! Yes, I like this kind of theme very much. I was just worried it would be handled too lightly, because of when she conveniently said all her life story in the temple and that childish banter. I thought, "Oh no, it will be one of those shows that takes things too superficially," but it is not the case. So today I am binging all the episodes 😁

the drama is very serious and deals with mature themes so the only thing that isn’t serious is the relationship…
I enjoyed her story, but not their meeting 😅. That's why I asked, as it was so different from the show's previous tone; I worried it would become too silly, as their banter was too childish and reminded me of some shows I disliked. But if the rest maintains a serious tone, I'm up for it and will definitely watch more today. thanks for your answer 😊

I started the drama today but i am already having difficulty finishing episode 1. I was expecting something like "Blossom," that level of seriousness in the story and acting. But once the main characters met at the temple, their banter was off-putting. My question is, how is the drama in coming episodes? I am already struggling, even though I like the actors 🥲

Is it HE or not depends on how you perceive "happy ending":
I'm not misleading anybody; I'm answering the person above, saying that it is not a good ending for secondary characters, and I just answered that I don't want to watch a "friends massacre" trope in a drama 🙄 where is the problem?

The importance of an interesting personality. 😅 I'm still mourning his hair in their first life. I feel we were robbed of something beautiful, but at least that embrace scene in their dream was amazing to see 😊😁

Even with friends with similar tastes, sometimes we don't like the same drama... or the same male lead 😄

do they both get 'reborn' or just FL?
Both are reborn, but she is the only one with memories, probably because she was holding the book or maybe because she was more conscious than him when they traveled back in time. He seemed to be falling into oblivion while she was going toward the light. They never really explain it

hmm I started watching because of the hype but the first episode is just too boring, and the male lead isn't handsome…
If the first episode didn't grab you, it's likely the rest won't either totally fair, not every show is for everyone! As for the ML, it's all about personal taste; not everyone will find him appealing, and that's okay too! Me on the other hand... 🔥 🥵 🤣🤣🤣

I'm still debating with myself, as there aren't many episodes left to air. My only regret about not watching on air is that I can't be annoyingly present in the comment section, but on the other hand, I just hate waiting for the slow rollout of episodes 😅🤣

Oh, hi there! 😅🤣 I haven't started this one yet, as I wanted to finish "Blossom" first. I'm not sure if…
I really enjoyed it. It had some ups and downs in the middle and a couple of weak episodes, but overall, the main leads were great, the story was good, and the cinematography and ending were excellent
