I'm just baffled as to why they didn't just kill them. Anyway, nobody would ever search for them or even know who they are, and definitely their captors were not empathetic 😐 (i mean i know, it was a plot device, but still...)

Noooooo, I was so happy that for once a 3ml was really her friend and there was no romance there, but it seems they always go on the same route of reverse harem type, where they use all the available men until there is one left 😅 Can't we ever have any friendship between FL and a clever and attractive man????? 😅🤣😂

I cant believe PY will be all over her until almost the end! Wtf. Hope they changed a loooooot in the drama at this point. Im happy she is free but that took too long in the novel

It does have SE vibes: Ayan talking about missing someone you can never meet, the story about good beginnings and bad endings. But it might still be an open ending with some not-so-logical last scene open to interpretation. I would rather have an SE at that point. 😅 I do prefer HE as life is already full of SE, so, I don't like having to be miserable when watching entertainment.. Regardless, my biggest fear is always one: an open ending with some stupid poetic scene

She wants to be reunited with her shifu, and for her, that is a priority over her own safety. 🥲 I would have run away and then tried an alternative way to meet the shifu. So if I were the FL, my story would end very quickly. 🤣😅

I always ask this when I haven't read the novel. But now, what is even the point of asking when, many times, novels have a happy ending and then they change the drama's ending to some open ending that doesn't make logical sense? 🥲🥲🥲🥲 I hope this one will not be one of those; I don't know if I can stay sane if I see an open ending. 🤣

It doesn't seem like she minds puttong her hands all.over him. As for red flags, I don't really see the ML as one because, when he tried to kill her, they were complete strangers with no connection whatsoever. He's definitely a morally grey character, but that's different. The real red flag is the other one, who already has an emotional connection with her. By today’s standards, his behavior would be a huge red flag, but considering the time period, when upper-class men viewed women—especially those from the lower class—as lesser beings, so he is not even really a red flag for that era 😐 But at least FL can see beyond the time period 😅

I’d rather kill him and face execution than spend my life as his concubine slave. I couldn't stand his overbearing, paternalistic ways, constantly trying to control and dominate, even writing about it makes me want to strangle him 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm sure she will manage to run away from him

When they romanticise something like that, it is so, so sick, and a lot of novels (not only Thai) do that, and than they make dramas out of it

It was such a disgusting practice, and knowing that many countries upheld it until relatively recently makes it even more disturbing. For instance, Italy only repealed its law allowing reparation marriages in 1981, and Spain abolished similar practices in 1992. Even more shockingly, Morocco repealed its law in 2014, and Jordan followed in 2017

Let's see how it unfolds. But they did a good job in the coming episodes of making us see ML differently. Not gonna lie, they are doing a good job with him, DESPITE the fact that he tried to get rid of her several times 😅

"Overprotective" is definitely too kind a word to describe a man who can keep you prisoner and take away your freedom and free will "for your own good." He’s just a weak-minded man who has no concept of respecting boundaries. There’s no way he truly loved her, either in the novel or the drama. That kind of behavior isn’t love. Thankfully, in the drama, she shows no romantic interest in him, because I'm sure in the novel she probably did since novels often like to romanticise abusive and weak men. In that sense, maybe Chinese censorship has its perks 😅🤣

I hope in the drama, PY will see the light before going too far with the crazy kidnapper part 😅 He is already annoying me so much, so suffocating

I don’t mind changes, as I see dramas as something different from the novels they are based of, as normally all the characters give different vibes. I only mind if I’m watching a drama and feel the story is terrible and then I discover the novel had a good plot. (Cough…Fighting for Love…cough 🤣🤣🤣🤣). So these changes in the drama so far are still interesting even if different from the novel, and I hope they will not ruin it in the second part. I’m always scared of the second part and the ending.

Yes and no, I guess 😅. You can definitely view the 2ML as a typical man of power for that era, someone who, by those standards, isn’t all that terrible considering the time period. But at the same time, you can also see him as a creepy stalker who views women as property. Similarly, the ML can be seen as an assassin on a mission to bring justice to his people, determined to stop at nothing to accomplish what so many sacrificed their lives for. Or, you could see him as a ruthless man who attempted to murder an innocent eyewitness multiple times 😅

I totally agree! I really hope the writers stop his descent into creepy psychopath territory if they want us to care even a little about him. Ever since he started showing interest in the FL, he’s become completely unlikeable. It’s such a missed opportunity! He could have actually won her over by respecting her and treating her as an equal, but instead, he went down the worst possible path. What an idiot!
