I'm really surprised that all three main girls are likeable. Miss He was a bit overboard with her random love for the male lead and her reaction to the rejection, but luckily it didn't last too long. The little foodie is cute and clever too. Please, writers, don't ruin them, as for now I enjoy their side stories too, and in most dramas, these kind of side characters are always so badly written and just there to fill the episodes

Don't be too harsh on modern 'dudes' 😉. As for ML, he is definitely different from himself in the novel, it seems

But in a way, in novels, MLs are more like your average guy. Find one man who will be strong enough not to cross the line and seek carnal pleasures when tempted over and over again (even when they know they are taking advantage). So I guess we could thank the censorship for giving us such respectful men to watch in dramas. 🤣 Even if it is so frustrating sometimes. 🙃

His novel counterpart?

I thought Ziyu would be the typical second male lead, only there to love the FL, cause drama, and be mopey. But he's been pretty chill so far, not annoying at all. I hope they give him his own story instead of making him a one-dimensional character as they usually do with this type of character. Did they change him from the novel?

The actor sometimes gives off this strange vibe, like the characters he portrays have some very dark secrets (which they don't). So, I think he would really do great in some anti-hero/villain/gray character with a spark of an unhinged personality. 😅 I'm saying it in a good way, of course, as he has this kind of mysterious aura in some scenes

It is always about who has the largest army and whom the people support. I am not sure what the future holds for the empire with an empress dowager like her and a child emperor under her power 🤔

That guy was so annoying in AJTY with his weird, obsessive crush on the FL (even though she didn't even notice him) that I'll never forget him, haha. That part of the drama was so overly badly written and so unnecessary, it's like if they need to fill some trope quota 😅

Why did she become a bandit? She comes from an escort agency family, so why did she start committing crimes in the first place?

Question for the novel readers

I know that ML is in an impossible situation. He started something when he didn't know or care about the person. She was just one of those faceless people whom he could use for a greater good. But now that he is so emotionally entangled with her, he should do the right thing: tell her the truth. He should have told her when the situation with Lu Wen came to a standstill and she wasn't needed anymore as a pawn. Yes, it would hurt her and yes, he would lose her, but at least it would give him some integrity. Like this, she is not even a pawn, but his side girl to whom he can't even commit. She needs to be respected enough to be let go, to make her own decisions. He needs to face the consequences of his actions. As well, I would like her to know the truth now when she doesn't remember everything, as it would go more full circle. I'm sure that the other her is not 100% the same personality as now; those three missing years were important for her character development, so the person she is now, who was used and lied to, needs to know.
