He will do more 😑 but she seems like the type of person who would only feel truly hurt if it was done by someone she has a personal connection with. Since he was just an assassin she didn't know at first, I think she might have some sort of dissociation between the version of him who repeatedly tried to kill her and the person she got to know later. It’s almost as if she separates the two, and that might help her process the situation differently than if he had always been close to her and tried to hurt her

It seems like she's going to get deeply hurt because the ML is going to use her to find her master. On one hand, I respect that he's staying committed to his mission and honoring the people who died for him to seek revenge and save their city. It shows he's true to himself and his purpose. But on the other hand, considering how close they're getting, it's painful to think about how much she'll suffer, especially knowing that she'll feel used and that her master will be put in danger because of it. But I'm happy he will not falter. 😅 Does that make me a bad person?

Pei Yan seriously triggers me in the worst way. He's completely obsessed with her, constantly trying to control her actions as if she belongs to him. Even if they were in a relationship, his behaviour would be unacceptable, but they're not, which makes it even worse (if possible considering that his obsession is not normal). His presence feels suffocating, and I would honestly go crazy in her situation. At the start of the show, I thought he'd be a complex, morally gray character driven by loyalty to his family, but instead, he comes across with disturbing stalker vibes, and I can't find anything redeeming about him in his interactions with her

Slow burn is my guilty pleasure. 😆 As for the actor, I read somewhere that it was because he was unhappy with the roles he was getting and generally with his management agency. He had enough and will change his career path

Some faded kiss from a distance or half-seen would be perfect. But with chemistry and intensity leading up to it and after it, even if we don't see anything. Just no lips from doubles like in Under the Power 😅 or those anime like kisses. I was even okay with the kiss being obscured by the candle in The Double because their chemistry was 🔥 🥵

Red flag or not a red flag. I was writing a long post about this, but I accidentally deleted it 😅 and I honestly can't be bothered to rewrite the whole thing. To me, he’s not a red flag. He would be if she were his friend or lover, but she’s literally a nobody, just a problem to solve. We all enjoy watching our main characters kill off faceless enemies, but it only becomes an issue when the person in question is part of the main cast.
Also, would we, with our 2024 morality and mindset, be able to forgive someone who tried to kill us? Probably not. But the context of the drama's time period is different. If the writers handle it well, I could definitely believe she might fall for a man like him. As for now, the only red flag in the making is PY, as he formed a bond with FL and is overpowering her and taking her decision-making power from her. If ML starts doing the same now from episode 13 onwards (as they finally made a connection), he will be a red flag too.

I was hoping for some kind of enemies-to-friends-to-lovers slow burn or allies-to-lovers, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem like something like that will happen. It seems more like lovers-to-enemies from the last trailer. Oh well, it doesn't matter; I still can't wait for it to come out 😉

I was about to start this one, but my goodness, these tropes are so bad... and the childhood connection one makes me always cringe so much. The drama needs to be super amazing for me to close an eye on this trope... not sure this drama is that good. 🥲

In general, I'm not a fan of this kind of comedy when it is overdone, but that's how the drama was set from the beginning. It is just a bit weird as she is acting as if it is a very serious drama and he is acting like he is in a comedy, so it is not really to my liking. If he needs to be silly to this point, she needs to be in some comedic moments too, but no. I don't know. I find it a bit underwhelming, but it is what it is. At least both characters are very likable all the time

Her family tried to force her into a marriage with ZQ, so she ran away from everything and started her own business. In his interactions with HZ, he always used her because he needed something for CXZ, but he also did try to help her too. So she kind of likes him too, but he also represents what she was running from. P.S. She is not really angry with him; that's how they usually interact.

Strangely, even though he has this generally soft appearance, he just seems to fit more serious character types better. But maybe that's just our preference. 😅

I just hope that when he remembers her, he will not change his dynamic with her because of that. At least she is behaving normally and treating him accordingly for who he is now, instead of whoever he was when he was a young teen. But still, it would have been better if they had just dropped these kinds of tropes from the show; it is lazy writing. She doesn't need to have to excuse him eventually just because of his past self, but at least it doesn't seem she will (still I'm worried about the existence of this trope in the show). 🥲😅😉

I promised myself I would never watch anything on Mango, but I fell into temptation once. The first few episodes of that show had normal subtitles... but only the first few. 😅 So now I've learned my lesson: no more temptations!

I always check out his dramas. Some, I drop; some, I finish, but I can't say that I've liked any except for Tiger and Rose. I'm not 100% sure about this one, but I feel that at least I won't drop it

Ah, the terrible childhood trope that I hate so much. From the trailer, I didn't expect anything at all from this drama, so after one episode, I find it watchable... but now reading your comment, I'm scared to watch episode 2. Although episode 1 was quite okay, very light but not too ridiculous like some other idol dramas with this kind of budget, I'm not sure how much my suspension of belief will have to go and how much I can endure when my most-hated trope is in there. I think the only drama where the past connection trope didn't bother me (as it didn't have any weight on their relationship) was in Autumn Ballad. They just continued as before
