Far too many just-in-time lucky breaks. At times it felt like a comic book written for 10-year-olds. Poor Aya Ueto had far too little to do. The re-watch value is zero, but I managed to hold on to the end.
In the end, there were too many lucky coincidences to be believable. It seemed almost like a cartoon. Good acting, except for Kataoka Ainosuke. Poor Ueto Aya didn't have enough to do. I did not understand what Oikawa Mitsuhiro's character did for a living besides planning strategy with his friends. Still, I did like it enough to be willing to invest time in the second season.
I agree with FrothyMix that this may have been good as a movie, but ten episodes was hard to take for me. The OST, writing, directing, editing, and much of the acting were awful.. The average rating of 8.6 makes no sense to me. I hung around because of the central plot, but it was painful to hang on for so long. Thank God it was not 16 episodes long.
I would have given this a 10, if not for the slow pace. I frequently switched to 1.25 or 1.5. I was also a bit miffed at the ending. I wanted Hyun Soo to call a press conference to tell the world that his lawyer, and not the prosecutor nor the police, discovered the truth.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I preferred Gye Sun Woo. He showed nice character development and I felt…
Jang Ki Yong's 'wooden' face usually keeps me from viewing anything he is in. I wonder why he continues to find work. That said, the fact that you were able to get past that and still enjoy the show makes me want to give it a try. All the praise in the comments for Lee Hye Ri helps as well.
Every so often, a movie makes me wish that I had become a film editor. This was one of them. Ode To My Father packed so much into two hours. This film packed so little.
I think that I am in love with Ishihara Satomi. I enjoyed Unnatural very much . Individual episodes are engrossing and the series arc was as well. I feared that the ending would be disappointing, but they pulled it off.
Far, far too much of this was filmed in the dark. I found it to be very annoying. I hated Jeon Hye Jin's character and kept wishing that she would die. Finally got my wish. Unlike some commenters, I will not need to watch this again.
Well, it has become one of my favorite kdramas. I liked the script and the magnificent performances, reuniting Yoo An In and Kim Hee Ae, is a joy.
