This was very "flat' for me. I'm a fan of Jo Dal Hwan, but he really did not have much to do here. It was almost a documentary. Story development was very weak. I watched most of it with fast-forwarding. That usually only happens with dramas.
Nushrat! Hello again (Secret Love Affair). Dramanice.sh and kissasian.mx have it. Dramanice had some buffering…
Dramanice now has a banner asking us to go to dramanice.so instead of dramanice.sh. They change that every year or so. As far as Lost goes -- I am dropping it. For me, it has no 'personality.' Three episodes of gloom was enough. I am guessing that in the final episode, everyone will jump off of a building together.
Definitely this drama is not for everyone. If you are looking for classic tropes, clear plot, expressive and strong…
Commenters are comparing it to My Mister, which I loved. It was not slow. The December-May relationship and the emotional struggles involved in life-decisions were forcefully covered in Secret Love Affair without being boring. Well, we all bring our own nuances to these evaluations, I guess.

Much has been written here about the fact that the average rating for SLA should be higher. I ran across another example of the same problem in the movie Beasts Clawing At Straws. With an average rating of 7.6, I didn't give it any consideration. I usually find movies with ratings under 8.0 to be rather meh. However, I noticed all the quality actors in it and, assuming that they would not all have made the same mistake, gave it a try. I thought it was great. Jung Woo Sung playing against type. Jeon Do Yeon keeping her clothes on for a change, but still flexing her sexuality. Bae Sung Woo giving one of his best performances. The script was well-written. I gave it a 9.0. Sometimes you just have to ignore the MDL ratings and hope for the best. Maybe they should give the ratings by age-group or something.
This was an unexpected pleasure. The average rating caused me to ignore it, but then I noticed all the quality actors in it and decided to take a chance. Even Shin Hyun Bin, who is so very bland in the Hospital Playlist dramas, was interesting. Can you imagine -- Jeon Do Yeon in a movie in which she keeps her clothes on? I suppose that is a little disappointing, but new is good, right?
The script is clever. Jung Woo Sung played against type. Jeon Do Yeon exudes sexuality, even with her clothes on.
Sometimes the MDL crowd gets the average rating terribly wrong, such as with the drama Secret Love Affair. This is another such case. Some movies and dramas are rated much too highly, but that is another subject.
I found it here: https://www.asiancrush.com/video/014451v/countdown
Jeon Do Yeon did not take her clothes off for a change, at least, not that we were allowed to see.. The plot was taught and complicated, but not overly so. The ending was sad, but with a hint of hope for the future. I was surprised. I liked it.
I’m watching this in need of a break from all the Kdrama cliches and I’m captured. Currently on episode 11…
I felt that events had to progress quickly, once she made her decision to turn files over to the prosecutor. I actually thought of Colonel Nicholson in Bridge On The River Kwai, "What have I done?" Hye Won asked herself that, made her decision, and there was no turning back. God bless her. She showed courage.

There is a moment in episode 16 that I wish fangirl had mentioned. Deeyut, you may not want to read this yet, as you are on episode 11. After Hye Won rises to the top of her political battles, she advises Sun Jae to drop his quintet friends, showing that she is still too much like those she has defeated. Sun Jae is clearly disappointed in her. This is where the plot could have gone either way. Would Hye Won be like "them," or will she recognize what she had done?

It is my mission to get everyone to enjoy this drama as much as I do. : ))
I suspect that you will not only enjoy the review, but the many comments that follow.
