Just finished ep 10. I have found that I am making use of fast-forwarding more and more. Still, this is the first drama that I have enjoyed since Attorney Woo. I was thinking of giving up on Kdramas.
I was not a big fan of Veteran, only giving it a 7.0. However, I consider Hwang Jung Min to be one of the world's top actors, so I am looking forward to this.
This was pretty bad. It would take too long to list all the improbable plot details. The "comic relief" actor just made me angry. I watched the last half in 1.5.
I just finished this for the first time in about seven years. It really is like cotton candy. I liked the four leads, but many of the others got on my nerves. I enjoyed the jokes about Ha Ji Won's short legs, which are not really all that short. The quality of the sets is not what we see today, just 14 years after this was made. I still give it 8.0.
Does anyone know what happened to Philip Lee? Did he return to being a systems engineer?
She was great in My Father is Strange. That was one of the best characters in K-drama land. Other than that, the…
I agree with luffykhi completely. "Spring Turns To Spring" had some good moments, but most of her projects I found to be unwatchable. Maybe the problem is with her agency. Maybe she has made enemies. Who knows?
This is my 2nd time watching this drama and I am still blown away at how amazing it is. I know people get turned…
Thank you. I wish that more people were able to get past the title. You forgot to write about the music. There were several scenes that I would have skipped past, but the music held me fast and created an emotional "moment." Comments about the drama, under YT videos of the music, are even more effusive than here on MDL.
Random thoughts: 1. Every so often a drama comes along that makes me wish that I had been taking notes from the beginning. This one had so many plot holes and "actions without consequences" that I am surprised that I did not drop it about mid-way. 2. Song Ha Yoon did a great job. Why hadn't I noticed her before? Through MDL, I realized that the only other project that I had seen her in was the movie Intimate Strangers. I plan to watch some of her other work. 3. Park Min Young, Song Ha Yoon, and Choi Gyu Ri all have beautiful legs and wear short skirts quite often. I am grateful. 4. As others have said, the Yu Ra part of the story was unnecessary. 5. I don't need to see any more dramas with Na In Woo. There were many scenes in which I thought about what a talented actor might have done.
I am half way through and am finding that I am increasingly annoyed with Na In Woo's acting. He has only one expression, and he speaks his lines so slowly that I think that each episode would be ten minutes shorter if the director could have gotten him to talk at a normal rhythm.
I agree with everything that you wrote. I don't understand the emotional gushing over this drama. I only finished it because my interest in how it ended overcame my desire to drop it due to the boredom I was feeling. During the last few weeks, I nearly forgot to check to see if it had been downloaded.
I enjoyed this so much that I went out and bought the book that it was based on, only to find that this is one of those rare cases in which the movie is better than the book. I miss Lee Sun Kyun. Kim Min Hee is a strange actress, but fits perfectly here.
