this drama is so fun, and the male and female leads relationship is so cute, and love how they're opposites of…
i wouldn't say she has no common sense it's more like she's very slow to understand some things since she's incredibly naive and doesn't see the wrong nor the harm. she actually doesn't know dfqc would die if she dies, she doesn't take his words literally and thinks he's just being unreasonable with her because he's the moon supreme, she didn't suspect his good actions toward her were because of the heart curse and thought he was being kind (that's how pure she is) she only understood recently about him feeling her emotions because he properly explained to her but she doesn't know yet about her body. when she was in his body she tried to act like him but she had a hard time doing so because she doesn't have a spark of evil in her, she didn't even consider she would betray herself she was confident "it should be ok" because she's naive and doesn't think much. about shuiyuntian she thought "why would they torture me again since i'm innocent, the first time was a misunderstanding after i explain to them they will understand" she's just slow and also worships shuiyuntian where in contrary she believed the cangyan sea is similar to hell a place with only evil people, this is what she was implanted in her brain and she never questioned things since she never traveled outside of shuiyuntian, like more than naive she's credulous, she ended up by understanding after 2/3 times and also realized in the last episodes neither cangyan sea and dfqc are like the rumors and there is more to what she was taught, so yeah she's just very slow to realize things since she's crazy credulous and gullible but she comes to understand things after some times so she's not stupid.
Someone mentioned that DFQC will lose Hellfire. So does he lose all his powers? I would imagine eve. If he lose…
i hope you’re right and it would be such a nice character development! shangque also mentioned about dfqc having a perfect cultivation and never lacking in his trainings ect, so even without hellfire he could definitely grow another power, and i hope so because i don’t like seeing him all weak and without power, being left with nothing because he fell in love it’s too sad… i want him to be the strongest in the 3 realms 😤
I read somewhere that it's because the Empress doesn't want CSS to be alone, so she has them get engaged. Maybe…
i believe he got exiled in a very cold dangerous place where he fought every day, not only she probably wouldn’t have been allowed to follow him but she wouldn’t have survived there since she has a weak health and if you want some spoilers css also overhead a conversation between him and the empress after he took his revenge and he basically said he had planned to abandon css before he took his revenge. css was already heartbroken and devastated because of the betrayal so even if she was allowed i don’t think she had any strength left in her heart and body to follow him there☹️
*roll up my sleeves*i believe the nobles are behind this, especially mr.lou since the king mentioned in episode…
truly, i wonder what will be the conclusion to all of this but i personally hope mr. lou is also involved because i want to see ling buyi take him down, it would be a bit frustrating to see only lou ben and his wife going down when mr. lou is the real pain in the ass in that family LOL the emperor mentioning the low backgrounds issue somehow convinced me he is since i don't see why he would speak about it if it's not a hint related to the case
I was totally caught off guard when Yang Yang bravely stepped forward to add a sentence to protect the Cheng family,…
i liked how good she was with words, like her clapback had something very smart, you can tell she's very erudite and it goes perfectly with her character
*roll up my sleeves*i believe the nobles are behind this, especially mr.lou since the king mentioned in episode…
you're very right, it would be even more interesting if my theory was right but lou ben planned/knew it all along and lured mr.lou and the others nobles to fall in his trap, just like how ling buyi knew by allowing the marriage between marquis yue's son and the fifth princess, that marquis yue would plan something quick and make a mistake to catch him... but not sure if lou ben is that scheming and would plan something that makes the lou clan take such a hit, but if he wants to get rid of mr. lou and take the merits i feel like he doesn't have that many options
I always love seeing the Emperor and Consort Yue’s interactions or scenes coz of their little banter, and I…
same thing here, i can't help but sympathize with most of women in this drama, shaoshang first i can't help but defend her for almost everything, she has my heart fully. even wang ling that was horrible to shaoshang i felt bad for her relationship with her mum and how she was forced to marry her uncle. i feel so sad for empress xuan, and you can tell the loneliness is slowing consuming her health, but at the same time i adore consort yue and she's such an ideal woman for the emperor, you can very much tell why he adores her and sadly prefers her over empress xuan. yuan shen's mum is also a very interesting character, just like the crown princess, despite how wrong her actions were, i could also understand some of her point of views. a lot of the characters in the drama aren't one-dimensional and i really appreciate the scriptwriter for this, it really makes the drama a a lot deeper and interesting, it's my first time focusing so much on details and rewatching dialogues to not miss any sentence or reaction!
not sure if anyone made some already but i have a theory about the cheng family drama !
*roll up my sleeves* i believe the nobles are behind this, especially mr.lou since the king mentioned in episode 42 that he would no longer be able to select subjects from poor backgrounds because of this and i remember very well mr.lou and another minister discussing in early episodes about how they're against them. lou ben might be involved for another reason with mr. yan? (the other man missing with cheng shi), but concerning css's father, mr. lou and others nobles might be the ones behind everything (i might be reaching but ling yi could also stop ling buyi marriage by doing so...) and her father is their scapegoat, others nobles would also take revenge against css because of what ling buyi did to them so it's the perfect occasion to set them up and kill two birds with one stone: not only the emperor would no longer be able to select subjects from poor backgrounds following this incident and the nobles would be the only people having power between their hands, but the nobles would also take the merits for "reporting traitors", get rewarded by the emperor, on top of the embezzled money getting in their pockets. but if this scheme is revealed, the eastern palace would take a massive hit and i feel like it would make sense with the already on-going conflict of crown prince and third prince. i might be totally wrong but this theory would fit the drama plot well LOL
confused as to why people are trying to justify what ling buyi plans to do when himself knows it's not the right thing to do and we can see him hesitating in episode 40. *spoiler alert* doing all of this just before their marriage isn't right and respectful to her no matter from which angle you try to see it, it was supposed to be (soon) the happiest day of her life but what did he do? he lied to her, betrayed her, shattered her heart and ruined her in every way possible. he wants to stay true to himself and doesn't want to let go of his revenge for a woman he met recently sure thing, but that woman... are we forgetting he forced her to get engaged to him and she was not just his fiancee but his future wife? it was serious between them, true love, and he will literally regret later and believe he should have married her for some years first, keeping his revenge for later. he already waited 21 years but couldn't wait a bit more? he had to cause his fiancee a lot of harm and ruin not just his life but hers too? he was crazy impulsive, he's so smart he for sure could have plan everything differently but he didn't, he just let his hatred devour him and ruin everything. revenge will bring him satisfication but it won't bring him peace at all, he will only have continued the cycle of violence he has been suffering from all his life. emperor is indeed too lenient with his punishments but he's however not wrong with telling ling buyi to find happiness with shaoshang, at this point he can only find inner peace and heal himself with her (since theraphy doesn't exist at this era) because will justice be served? yes, but will he still be haunted? also yes, so i'm here to say that his revenge, at that moment and the way he did it, wasn't worth it and even if i want a happy ending he doesn't deserve to be forgiven.
He abandons CSS because his last hope that there could be some rightful vengeance for him was completely irradicated…
i definitely did because the drama isn't telling you his actions are right and the exact reason why his character is in a dilemma in the last scene of episode 40, so lmao.
