He abandons CSS because his last hope that there could be some rightful vengeance for him was completely irradicated…
and you're entitled and justifying mass murder just because you love the actor playing him.

I think we all need to be realistic. LBY is not crazy but angry which is perfectly normal. If the emperor had…
i'm not missing anything, i like morally-grey characters the most, someone with so many traumas can rarely stay totally sane and he showed in many occassions his mind and morality are no longer stable with how much satisfication it can bring him to kill someone. you can be psychologally deranged and still be smart, calculating, scheming, ect, psychological damages due to traumas have nothing to do with brain capacity.

you're simply applying drama morality to your point because no one committing mass murder should be ever justified, if everyone was living with "an eye for an eye" then what would happen? everyone would non-stop be killing each other?
what happened to his clan is horrible and tragic, but it's still not right to go kill a whole clan as retaliation, especially when not everyone is involved in what his "father" did, there were probably innocents there as well and he still killed them because of one person. even if it's another era, there is a reason why he's going to be exiled, and would have been executed if it was another emperor, because you're not allowed to mass murder people just because you want it and believe it's right.
he's a morally grey character and wu lei said it himself so i won't be justifying any of his actions, i however understand them, his pain and trauma he will never be able to heal in his whole life, but there is nothing that would allow mass killing at the end of the day, the culprit deserves to die for what he did, and the king being too weak to bring him proper justice is still not a valid reason to do this, lby could simply kill him in prison just like what he did with king yong, it's still not right but it's already better than massacring a whole clan, the fact he choose to do this instead shows how he's deranged and wanted to see a lot of blood. (and no normal person is like that) just like i disagree with him killing all the fifth princess aides, it was satisying to see her suffer after what she did to shaoshang but these men did nothing to deserve to die. (and the emperor allowing that isn't right either btw!)
and i won't change my words, as a lover it is a selfish and insensitive move from his side yes, he forced shaoshang to marry him in front of the emperor and left her no choice, she has a terrible past where she never trusted anyone but he coaxed her to do efforts so she can fully open herself to him and trust him despite how hard it was for her while he doesn't do the same in return, he gaslighted her in order to her to have her confess her feelings to him, he even kissed her while they're not married (something that could damage her reputation), yet he's leaving her for revenge? if not for yuan shen being in love with her, no one else would marry her, she got engaged twice and is now being the ex fiancee of a criminal... are you even aware of that? lby and css are two different people, he got the most horrible past yes but she deserves to live a proper life, and without mentioning her deserving happiness after her shitty past, at this era women who couldn't get married would be shamed until the last day of their life; so yes he's selfish, he has been wanting to murder the whole clan since long ago but he still forced shaoshang to marry him so he should take responsabilities for that and not leave her, him himself hesitated wether he should do it or not for a reason, he knew the harm it would cause her. and he had others options to get rid of his "father" but he choose the one that would ruin his marriage with her and would surely leave him to be executed. and to me the weak punishment of marquis yue isn't playing a big part in his decision to mass murder the clan, he would have done it even if the king killed marquis yue, proof of this being consort yue offering to kill her own brother, but that's still not enough for him so we all know he wouldn't have been satisfied with his "father" simply getting executed by the king, he wanted his whole clan to die just like his and no emperor except a tyran would have done that.
he's going to take revenge but the relief will only be for a brief, because mass murdering a whole clan isn't going to heal his trauma, and saying it will bring peace and justice to the souls of the huo clan is only spiritual, as i said it's not the solution, the only solution is trying to find happiness and peace with shaoshang no matter how long it will take and letting go no matter how hard it is. because at the end he will still be in pain, no one from the huo clan will revive. he will be left with nothing, and the worst of all, he lost the love of his life, the only person that was bringing light to his life, so was it all worth it?

sorry to say but mass killing people for revenge isn't the behavior of a sane person? even if he has his good sides ling buyi is a deranged person because of his past traumas, as far as i know shaoshang never tried to kill someone for her revenge and she would also never do that, you can't compare them.

On Love Like the Galaxy: Part 2 Aug 10, 2022
consort yue already knows ling buyi wants to take a bloody revenge and will ruin his marriage while doing so she's even willing to kill her brother if it means him letting go of the trauma and grudges in his heart and be happy with shaoshang but he will choose his revenge over his wife... we can see ling buyi as being selfish and insensitive and also as someone deeply psychologically traumatized to the point where his morality got affected, he's no sane person...

I have a question for someone who might have read the novel. I saw the scenes that looked like lanhua became aware…
she's not a goddess in the novel so no one knows sadly but i'm guessing it'll happen after her sacrifice

i was a bit confused so i rewatched the parts about the swords.
there are two swords:
- shuofeng sword (that needs chidi spirit) to free dfqc soldiers from chidi curse
- chengying sword to break the heart curse.
and rong hao needs xiyun spirit (aka lanhua) to revive chidi.

it's interesting the two "villains" need to destroy each other lovers in order to achieve their goals.
if dfqc kills lanhua with the chengying sword, rong hao won't be able to revive chidi.
but dfqc needs to wait after lanhua to fix the book of destiny in order to find chidi spirit and destroy her.
rong hao doesn't know yet that if he kills lanhua, dfqc will die too.

so it's a bit of a speed fight between the two villains, it's harder for dfqc since he needs to kill both lanhua and destroys chidi for good, while rong hao could kill two birds with one stone if he simply kills lanhua.

today episodes were so entertaining, i really have too much fun watching the drama, he really thought by blocking…
i'm glad they kept the novel setting where he tries to kill her (even if it's for another reason in the novel -which they might use later however), and also that he's back to being "evil" since i don't want him to be nice with her too quick, but too bad for him our smart lanhua tricked him hehe!

the main elements and some same scenes are kept but it’s different because of the pacing, they removed an arc…
a bit yes, but they're keeping the best parts of the novel so it's fine

also, is there a scene in the novel where ml reveals he cared for her only because of the book of destiny? or…
the book of destiny doesn’t exist in the novel so no one knows what will be her exact reaction but for sure she’ll be heartbroken when she learns he was never sincere

so far the series is pretty good and very interesting but a honest question here: why is this so popular? ep 1…
both actors are quite popular and the novel is also popular so the drama could only be popular 😼

And who are the Liufang Pavillion looking for?
zh is engaged to xiyun but xiyun got killed 30000 years ago when dfqc massacred her clan, lanhua should be xiyun’s primordial spirit but without her memories (i’m not 100% sure however since the plot deviates from the novel)
liufang pavillon are looking for xiyun to bring back the goddess of war chidi nuzi to life (and the chef already found out she is “inside” lanhua)

Forgive me as I have not read the novel. But I'm confused on Rong Hao's character. He obviously has "evil" intentions…
he probably wasn’t all that good before (kinda like changheng brother) and he definitely lost the plot after her death, he hasn’t been able to move for 30000 years so he just became crazy and evil while finding ways to wake her up, he even didn’t consider she would not approve any of this if he manages to bring her back, she knew what she was doing when sacrificed herself and didn’t ask to be revived, and i don’t think he really loves her that’s more obsession
