I like the idea of the drama but the infant like behavior of the female lead for me is too much. I do not blame…
she played an university student in find yourself, an investigator in i’ve fallen for you, an editor in moonlight, all these characters are adult? i think her high-pitched voice make you think these are all childlike characters when it’s not the case, her characters have one thing in common; they’re all cheerful and adults can be cheerful, she might get type casted for these roles so it can be one thing bothering you, but to say all these roles are all childlike? it’s just not right. it might not be your intentions but i encourage everyone to stop thinking a bubbly positive woman is immediately trying to act like a child, women don’t have to behave according to some “adult” standards, let them be cute, bubbly and cheerful at any age
Well all i can say is Good Luck with your expectations 😅So far its no where close to that ..
it’s the major difference in their relationship between novel and drama that might disappoint you, she’s basically holding him hostage right now (but she doesn’t know it) and he’s forced to protect her if he doesn’t want to die (it’s the opposite basically), when they exchanged body a powerful magic from her original clan (which he extinguished before) “locked” their souls together and he’s feeling all her emotions (the power dynamic is exchanged basically) so it forcibly removes a lot of his cruelty (with her at least), he was cruel with her when he just woke up and was about to make her life hell but the magic ruined his plan so it’s very fun honestly (and she makes him go crazy in every sense possible) but it might disappoint you since it’s a plot of the novel you seem to like 💔 in tomorrow episode she will be forced to stay in his kingdom tho so i can’t wait 😎 you’re right it would definitely make him more evil (from the spoilers i saw) i think he will decide to not do it last minute however it looks like she will get mislead by his enemies so here comes the angst (she decides to die for him for his ambition just like in the novel, thinking it was what he wanted) i was replying to someone else and many arcs basically got replaced with new ones involving the sml (something that bothers most of novel readers and adds a love triangle) and some arcs are happening now when they happen later in the novel so it’s good but it makes the drama different from the novel consequently perhaps get into the drama telling you it’s not an adaption but a complete new drama, i know it might be hard to do that but at least you won’t be disappointed 😌
It’s not everyday ???? It’s only Monday Tuesday and Sunday ??
did iqiyi post a new schedule? because the actors posted schedules showing new episodes until august 16th, after august 16th it shows sunday-monday-tuesday episodes so unless iqiyi changed last minute we should be getting new episodes every day for now
For those who read the novel, is the drama following it so far?
the main elements and some same scenes are kept but it’s different because of the pacing, they removed an arc and made new ones instead involving sml, something that happens toward the end of the novel is happening in tomorrow episode (9)
Well all i can say is Good Luck with your expectations 😅So far its no where close to that ..
novel reader here and i’m not disappointed by the adaption, it’s different but the most importants things are kept, especially the comedy aspect. the fl was already criticized for being too naive in the novel and the drama is following that, you might find her even more naive in the drama (not my case but some people seem to think like this) however drama lanhua has a more complicated past which will lead to a stronger character development (so to me it compensates). the ml is not as dark as in the novel but not by that far, let’s say novel ml was present in episodes 1-2, and episodes 2-10 the current ml we have is the one in the middle of the novel because the plot device in the drama forcibly accelerates his character development (by episode 8 he’s falling for her but didn’t notice it yet so exactly as in the novel). what’s make it interesting is he’s not exactly redeeming himself already, it’s just that he doesn’t have a choice but to be nice with her if he wants to get his way and the comedy part is relying all on this. the major difference in their relationship between novel and drama is the fact he doesn’t know he has to kill her yet in the drama where he knew from the beginning if i remember well so it makes him less cruel, he’s however still manipulating her and scheming, she doesn’t know why he’s nice with her and misunderstands him. but we know from the teaser he’ll plan to kill her for his ambition when he learns about it but will be twisted just like in the novel. sorry my comment is already long lol, if you expect the drama to be exactly like the novel you probably be disappointed (just know no adaption is ever the same as the novel) but as someone who’s quite inflexible when it comes to adaptions this one is a pleasant surprise it’s different but you just get the vibes from the novel which is why i very much enjoy it.
episode 8 - anyone else noticed he knew she put something in his drink to sleep but he still drank it, so it would mean he trusts her and allowed her to do what she planned to do with him, it doesn't seem like the drug had a big effect on him either since he could move but he still listened to her 😿
changheng is so piteful he put a thorn in his feet by trying to protect her, he said all these lies without knowing she was listening 😭 and despite having her heart broken, lanhua thinks so lowly of herself that she isn't mad at him just sad 😭
episode 8 was soooo pretty, the garden started to shine after the last words he said to "comfort" her meaning she's starting to feel something for him!! (he wasn't trying to comforting her but his words started to be real if you see what i mean, he does think she's better than them) and when they jumped in the water and he touched his lips after, meaning the kiss made him feel something!! dfqc blaming her for the jealousy he's feeling HAHA, they're so cute, she's slowly making him feel the emotions his horrible father took away from him, in the last scene where she was sending him off she was so adorableeee, can't blame dfqc for falling for her
in tomorrow episode she will be forced to stay in his kingdom tho so i can’t wait 😎
you’re right it would definitely make him more evil (from the spoilers i saw) i think he will decide to not do it last minute however it looks like she will get mislead by his enemies so here comes the angst (she decides to die for him for his ambition just like in the novel, thinking it was what he wanted)
