Very cute drama that's perfect for a short Netflix binge. I really enjoyed Kim Yoo Jung in this - she's adorable and I loved the twist of fate in the end there. Wish there was a bit more of Kim Woo Bin's character but that's personal preference talking there. A 8.5/10 for me!
Namgoong Min as a loving single father is such a stark difference to his villainous psychopath roles of his drama past but I can't help expecting him to kill someone every time he gets an intense look on his face.
I get what others are saying about the plot being too draggy but I still really enjoy every episode. An hour flies by for me and I'm still absolutely loving every part of this drama - I've grown to care a lot for these characters. Guess everyone has their own cup of tea in the end!
This is such a great movie for those days when you want some light-hearted romance and comedy with some regular drama tropes thrown in there! That being said, this still managed to make me cry, proving that I'm clearly a softy. Still, I enjoyed this! 8.5/10
Also: is it just me or does the second male lead really resemble Seo Kang Joon? Maybe it was the styling but he's very dreamy! SLS strikes once again.
Looking back on this series, I think people just mistook love for calamity. An orange-shining stone just means…
Agreed! Though I think they all just perceived love as the big no-no emotion because any type of strong emotion "threatened their ability to cultivate immortality". Hence, they equated love to a fated calamity. Hateful is really the right word to use since they clearly really hated anything love related (which is funny since none of the immortals followed that love rule anyway - Zi Xun loving Zi Hua, the other Superior Immortals who were in love too even Ni Man Tian - bunch of hypocrites!). In Zi Hua's case, it was a really big deal if he fell in love because they needed him to break through that tricky tenth level of heaven and the "fated calamity" AKA loving Qian Gu would distract him from that. Which is why the suggestion was to kill her before any love could manifest.
But thankfully, Zi Hua is terrible at following instructions even if he still made a mess of things in the end.
So many people dropping but I'm very much still hooked! I've grown to really love these characters. Also, I just want to see that awful man get his comeuppance.
Really loved her style in the ending! The actress is super beautiful and very talented so I hope to see more dramas from her in the future. And Namgoong Min's face when he's being kissed is adorable; never thought he do comedy as well as he plays a psychopath! A lovely drama - 8/10!
I can't believe I cried in the ending. The entire drama I remained unmoved but Yoon Shi Yoon and that beautiful OST finally got me in the end! I quite liked it though. Bumped the rating up to 7.5/10.
Three episodes did what a 16 episode story could do! I loved every silly moment of it. Tae Joon was the star for me though; wish the actor did more dramas!
Really fun and cute story and so short - it's a must-watch! 9/10
Watched just for Lee Soo Hyuk but the drama itself was quite good.
To be honest though, I nearly didn't continue because of the female lead. So much second hand embarrassment from some of her hijinks. She does improve though particularly when she starts standing up for herself. The ending is questionable but what to do, it IS dramaland. Definitely had its ups and downs but overall a cute drama! 8/10
Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, CAN'T WAIT!
There's so much I already love about this drama without even seeing it.
Come soon, drama, please.
