yeah i noticed that despite the premise being generally the same, the tone is quite different, but im enjoying it so much!! i enjoyed the original korean version too, but for other reasons, i think the kdrama has its own charms and the tdrama has its own charms as well. what was the other remake you liked better than the original? id love some recs!

screentime is split pretty evenly, but i think main male lead (masakazu) gets a tiny bit more screentime because throughout the show he struggles with his scriptwriting, family, and love issues. but overall screentime is pretty fair for all of them. the romance plots for all three guys are pretty unconventional, and they all have their own unique hurdles to overcome, but all the romance storylines are pretty decent. though personally i enjoyed the slice of life and friendship aspect of the show better
slice of life and friendship plot was really amazing and fulfilling, the romance plotlines were okay, not bad nor good, but i definitely continued for the friendship between the 6 of them
i love how they showed all the different reasons why someone might lie and how lying may not always be a bad thing, how kanoko learns to love her ability to hear lies, or, to hear the truth. love them so much, i would personally fund a season 2 lmfao we need it!!!!
one thing i do appreciate though is that among being all smiley and simping for FL, he still has those moments…

yess me too i watched the korean version and it was so funny and cute I'm hoping we can get similar funny shenanigans from bolin and puff. and i still hope for a small and mighty s2 i want to see itttttttttt
