MEL TAN ARE YOU STILL ACTIVE ON MDL?! I just found out the chen bolin and puff kuo reunited in a romance drama called breeze by the sea and it's still updating!!! I'm going to check it out I'm so excited!
wuxias tend to lean towards melo and drama so watching this one with hilarious comedy is such a breath of fresh air! i breezed through this one cus i loved the bickering dynamic of the leads

one thing i do appreciate though is that among being all smiley and simping for FL, he still has those moments where he gives FL genuine advice regarding her work and that strong boss/mentor attitude from before is still present in those moments.
but my only criticism is how ML's character seemed kind of like a socially-awkward and romantically novice (?) in the beginning? like how he made her mop his entire villa just so she could spend all day with him (like seriously dumbest idea ever) in ep i think 22? And then not even two eps later he becomes the sweetest boyfriend who knows the cues and is (generally-speaking) very romantic. like the change was just too drastic, bro initially acted like he lived under a rock cus he didnt even know how to confess to her but now all of a sudden all is good and well once theyre together?????
i am really loving their sweet moments though, dont get me wrong, the show is pretty good for what it is, fl is really sweet and ml is silly loserish with all his misunderstandings lmfao. im on ep 25 so far
while i love the sweet side of ML, the personality change after the confession was so drastic i'm seriously unable to stomach it. after ep 22 he's handing out smiles like they're candy when before ep 20 we saw him genuinely smile maybe 1 and a half times in all 20 eps. after just episode 23, i got so used to seeing him smiling i forgot what he looked like when he was the cold, sassy, and strict boss. wish they did the character development a little better

although, as a small sliver of hope... back in 2020 the directors said they intend for s2's plot to take place 5 years after s1,.... maybe 2025 will be the year there is production news πππ fingers crossed guys
i think too much time has passed since Nineteen, Logout (the 2021 prequel to A Ticket to India), and the main casts are probably all busy doing their own things, and the funds they raised are probably all used up too at this point... unfortunately i dont think we will be getting a s2 filmed in india, although i really wish for it
need more dramas with this type of haters to lovers tom and jerry type dynamic, soo cute and its so hard to come by because most romcoms wanna lean towards melo and dramatic shit than be unserious and funny and cute
i love the screenwriter because she always does side character subplots justice!!! always a mix of slice of life w workplace and comedy and romance. my queen <3
i used to pray for him to act in a drama with han yeseul or bae doona one day, but these days, I just pray heβll take any role at all ππππ i love the musical era but we need drama era back!!
