so strange because i have vivid memory of starting the first episode of this drama while in the locker-room in my high school, but now im seeing it started airing after lockdown started, so there's no way I could have watched this in school... this is so trippy

just realized they've done this same exact plotline of "my dad d worded because of your dad in a fire --> let's break up --> wait actually i had it all wrong, they were both innocent" in suspicious partner. like what the heck... please let go of this childhood connection nonsense

as sad as it sounds, at this point his fans would rather that in reality it was only just an accident and there was nothing sinister involved... but there is just too many iffy details for everything to be pure fabrication

it’s so interesting how kdramas have a track record of taking high-school aged actresses and making them appear older and more mature,, while at the same time taking older 24+ year old actresses and putting them in a school uniform 😭

well to add my two cents as a casual fan of both, i want him to end up with neither of them LOL, they’re both way too good for him

i knew it was gonna end like that 😭😭 the potential for a s2 is definitely there, but then again there’s not much plot left except for the candidacy and election, that’s why i was thinking the romance is moving a little too fast cus it would’ve been a great plot to drag over to s2. anywho not complaining because i still loved the chemistry and would love to see them again in something.

well she was in the hair salon with youngrye so we will def see her again, on instagram sangcheol's actor posted pictures with a child actor that we haven't seen in the drama yet, and i'm speculating it's yeongbun's child, and maybe sangcheol and her might have a romance arc? not sure if we'll see the player bus driver again, maybe he'll reappear as a reformed man

seongwoo was actually going to be in school 2021 as a high school student right before the show got canceled/postponed, but when production restarted he wasn't recast 😭😭 i wouldve loved to see him as a student lol

i like it, i like the slice of life vibe with many interesting characters. but since the drama is only 12 episodes long, it makes me fear that there will be a rushed ending or not enough screentime for all the stories 😭

yess they were supporting until recently! i think a new cast chart must have been posted by jtbc so they've edited the drama profile to reflect that

1. interesting choice to make her a hair stylist, i wonder if there's a story behind it.

2. i think jaepil is an interesting character but honestly from what we've seen he's always really been in his own world and still doesn't understand the depth of the girls' friendship and the backgrounds they come from. for example, jeonghyun is also from a wealthy background, but his presence never felt that way and he's always been very down to earth with the ko family. jaepil in comparison felt like he thought about himself first, how jeonghui made him feel less pain, how he wanted her to surround him, etc. he seems very one-dimensional, i guess? idk i'd like to hear what others think

3. sangcheol might end up with jeongbun because it seems her child will play a role in the timeskip plot

4. i hope yeongsik is a lawyer by now, and jeonghui is an actress, and they somehow have some interactions

5. i thought it was cute that yeongrye called jeonghyun her daddy-long-legs, because she gave him that nickname without even realizing the actual depth at which he has secretly helped her. i still don't like that he calls her ugly or whatever, but i'm hoping we see some character development.

6. sad that we won't see the ko children as little youngins anymore, but excited to see if there will be a cute middle school romance for seri and yeongbae

wow they've already been cast as a couple in three things together, chemistry must be out of this world

theyre both almost 40 haha, both seongwoo and jinjoo have ultimate babyface

i agree lol, i think live up to your name is the only happy ending historical time travel ive enjoyed until the end. the ending for this drama honestly made me more upset than scarlet heart just because of how rushed it was and how many gaps it had

oh my god we had the exact same endgames LMFAOO i didn't think anyone else would see the potential in the bodyguard x gonggil. i think there's potential for a spin off series with these four as lead characters and the story shows what happens in the past after the king and yiyeong have both gone off to the future
