and of course yeongsik jeonghui crumbs were amazing , the hands grazing each other... yeah ill be giggling kicking…
also when jaepil was running to the miss korea venue i was half hoping that he would get stabbed and d!e saving jeonghui LOL. in the end there's no hate towards him, i just especially hate that the writer used him as a pawn to tear the girls apart
im satisfied with this ending, it was so messy ep 8-11, but wrapped up well with no tragedy, at least. feeling…
and of course yeongsik jeonghui crumbs were amazing , the hands grazing each other... yeah ill be giggling kicking my feet for the next 7 business days
im satisfied with this ending, it was so messy ep 8-11, but wrapped up well with no tragedy, at least. feeling bad for hyeon, i wish they gave us a little more for him. YR jumping in and saving JH during miss korea felt like a full circle moment after JH jumped in and saved YR during the pen scene when they were younger. they both saved each other in the end
also did we find out who the third miss korea was?
rewatching after ep 4 ending and realized that he must've been jealous that she let baek sanghyeon into the house when the lights were going crazy, that's why he reacted like that on the phone call LOL
Jonghee isn’t allowed to have emotions, she has to be perfect and completely selfless according to the people…
exactly, i think they fail to put themselves in jeonghui's shoes. if i was in her place, i would definitely feel bitter towards the world. she never truly meant ill to youngrye, but when you're feeling such complex emotions, it's bound to come out in unsavory ways. she's also just human.
by her book, jeonghui did everything right; she always put others first, she worked hard, she took all the chances she was offered. but still why was life like this for her? i really feel for her.
but of course i don't think any of it is youngrye's fault either. she was also just chasing her dreams and living life. i hope the girls can stick by each other's sides instead of pitting against each other.
Only Kim Dami’s die-hard fans will still blame Jonghee for everything she does, and they refuse to see how much…
all the jeonghui hate is really shocking me, i am rooting for both youngrye and jeonghui, this drama was meant to be a female centric plot but the writers have really ruined it 😭😭😭
i honestly can't blame jeonghui for finally bursting. At cheongah bus, she finally found a reason to live thanks to youngrye, she was finally seeing happiness in her life, and even though her friend had the life she always wanted, she was happy for youngrye, and she made sure to protect her.
more than jaepil, jeonghui protected youngrye, she was her actual daddy-long-legs, because she was always behind her, a shadow, watching but protecting with the little that she had.
after jeonghui ran away, her life was back in those shadows. so when a shortcut to a lavish life appeared, she took it, because she wanted to achieve happiness too, she wanted to be like youngrye. she wanted a family too. at first, she stayed because she understood what her adoptive mom was craving, what it meant to have nobody by your side. but slowly, it all started to crumble.
her burst in front of youngrye didnt seem blaming or as if she were pointing fingers. she just wanted to be heard, to be hugged, and listened to by someone she once called a dear friend. when youngrye's life had issues, and even when jaepil's life had issues, there was someone there for them. but when jeonghui was struggling, who was there for her? she had nobody besides the shoulder yeongsik gave her to lean on. she had everybody, but nobody. who can blame her for being so angry at the world?
jeonghui is the kind of person to win miss korea, but give all the prize money to youngrye because she knows how much youngrye wanted to go to college. like how she gave youngrye all the insurance money from her parent's de*th when youngrye's mom was injured. why can't youngrye see that jeonghui just needs someone to pull her out of the quicksand? shes grasping onto the strands of her past because she thinks it'll make her feel whole again, she's still stuck there.
more than anything i'm rooting for their friendship to stay strong, you can tell they both still badly care for each other. if youngrye and jeonghui never met, both of their lives would have been full of tragedy; in a way, they saved each other.
i dont know why back when i was watching it when it was airing, everyone really loved this drama but im glad to see the comments now and a lot of them are reflecting the thoughts i had back then .. it was rlly rlly boring, rlly little chemistry between the leads, and the ending was so unsatisfying
all are stories on first love in the same high school, adding tropes for each ep as i watch, in case anyone is curious: ---- Ep. 1 (My Friend is an Idol): childhood friends to lovers, ML's character is a kpop idol, ML falls first, bickering friends dynamic, FL runs fanpage, FL protects ML ---- Ep. 2 (An Exchange Student's Bucket List): exchange student from japan ML, top student FL, studying together, FL being "tour guide" for ML, shy and reserved FL ---- Ep. 3 (The Guy on Another Level): step-brothers like the same girl, basketball player ML, other male lead is a DJ, FL likes basketball brother, awkward ML (the DJ) ---- Ep. 4 (Your Everything): class clown ML, tall and shy FL, talented writer FL, FL likes someone else, ML helps FL w/ her crush, ML and FL lead together in a school film, ML falls first, tom and jerry dynamic ---- Ep. 5 (My First Love is my Student Teacher): ML likes his teacher, new teaching instructor FL, no actual romance, only one-sided crush ---- Ep. 6 (A Horror Story on a Summer Night): horror elements, bickering tom and jerry dynamic, scaredy cat ML, misunderstanding trope, FL confesses first
damn, this almost became circle (2015) towards the end.
omg i've watched that movie and thought the same!! the last game felt like a combination of cube (1997) and circle, especially with usagi being pregnant
