This is me with Hierarchy (among others) 😭 I voted for it but my reason isn't the vibes at all, since the story resonated with me and I cried more than once. I think I literally fell in love with the writer which is so funny considering the hate and her other drama got recommended to me by friends. I personally hate the MDL review system because there are no filters like on MAL and when I dared to share my review I instantly got attacked/downvoted which is so insane to me.

Introverted Boss was one of the most impactful dramas of my life, I was obsessed with it. Really expected an ordinary romcom and boy was I wrong, I loved it from the beginning. That ending was incredible I had to replay it a thousand times. Also, the story was meant to be frustrating but in my case it kept me on the edge of my seat and it was deeply satisfying. I loved the writer's Meow The Secret Boy too. I've had cats my whole life and the perspective on cats was very good. The romance got me crying and frustrated from the beginning because I was so invested in the cat 😭 Kim Myung Soo was amazing in portraying a cat, perfect casting.

When I mean it's open to interpretation, I really do and I find that very cool about it. Of course the "death" means that he lost himself because he abandoned human relationships (mental death). And Ga Young on the phone is her letting go, which is why she's shown not reacting and saying her goodbye (if the shot was real, then it could've happened after the call or simply not heard). This was the symbolism I mentioned. But the physical death itself doesn't have to be real. I liked that he was wearing his white coat and the hitman's costume, I read about the Black Swan theory but I don't think it's intended just because of the color palette. And Ga Young not hearing the shot, or not reacting if you brush it off as "she knew" although she didn't even make the call. Which brings me to the interpretation of Jae Hyuk being the culprit, foreshadowed through King David's story and the clue about the penthouse.

Main reversed expectations:
- Childhood trope. Ga Young never remembers. Yet she remembers the more recent memory with Jae Hyuk.
- Second male lead wins.
- Madam Jo. It's implied she's evil enough to be behind Ga Young's parents' death, but only through Young Gul's perspective.

Another cool detail: it was the first scene ever filmed.

10/10 just for the gay villain introduction (it's a great movie as long as you embrace the wild plot)

a blast overall, the aesthetic, the gore (blood on people and psychos is super aesthetic), even the story because yes there is a story, the final fight, the ending, the bgm, perfect movie
