I don't understand why people get irritated whenever someone ask something. Even no where in my words I have said anything bad about drama. If I am trying to understand the military arc then what's the problem here? When military arc is indeed one of the main plot here. You have diff way of approaching a drama and I have mine. Simple. Why to put down others?

Anyways, i will keep in mind to not overthink these minute details to connect dots in story like u said. Whether I watch it or not that's not something for u to decide. It's upto me. Let's not go there and spread hatred by using this tone.

The hate seems unnecessary to me here. I get the concern of aimi having romance arc with hou minghou( who is much older) but if u look into her acting she comes mature as per her character and ig considering her age there will be no intimate scenes or kiss scenes. As long as no intimacy i am good.

I just started this drama. I am 5 min in ep1 but the story is so fast paced. Someone please make me understand as i have put on hold while watching and writing this comment...

Why in the world a military commander will ask to put fire in granaries and armories if army comes in city gate? Because if the fear that maybe that could become the reason to supply the enemies to go even more deep in war so as to attack city people and eventually loosing kingdom then why the mention of plain? And why would city gate be that far in the plain that literally military reports will come urgently through cavalry soldier? And if it's that urgent then how aimi character has time to be in peace? Wouldn't there be rush to be safe? What i am missing here? Or I am simply putting too much logic in war scenes? Because I think by ost and opening scene it's pretty much evident it's talking about war...and ost is energetic in nature. Fight scenes were good so it has to be of some weight right?

Suddenly i don't understand how wuyi became commander of beifu army? Or this is a flashback?

Plus not to mention they genuinely don't understand if that's the phase of life or whether he is actually gay/ bi. Plus there is denial phase also thinking " maybe i haven't met one" . Not to mention some people do have internalised homophobia like how we saw in "love in a big city".

I respectfully disagree here. ZX was attracted to ZZ since first day of shooting. He was the first to know and accept his feelings towards ZZ. Still he didn't break up with his gf so it's practically cheating. Because atleast for me pursuing another person while being on relationship is cheating.

Now, ZZ i agree he was confused with his feelings. But he was also realising that he is starting to have feelings towards ZZ and the ep7 credit scene proved that. He understood he like ZX. So atleast he should communicate this with his gf or ask her for a break to sort out his feelings. Because she was realising that she is loosing ZZ. And trust me it's a very bad feeling. But he didn't do that. Now that he realised his feelings for ZX and he is agreed to breakup with her..let's see how story unfolds. I am keeping my fingers crossed here and hoping ZZ don't go back to Dayin just because ZX and his gf relationship went public. Because that will be unfair to Dayin.

I maybe minority here. But i hate how ZZ is hurting dayin. That girl is literally seeing how ZZ is getting distant from her emotionally. It's hard. She is ready to wait. When she asked him "after all these are over are u going to come back?" It doesn't mean about him physically coming back to her after shooting. It's as if she understood the situation and is in denial that ZZ is no longer hers and she is ready to wait..she is asking will u come back if I am waiting for u? Why this ZZ don't give her clarity? I understand he is also taking his time to understand how him being straight he can have feelings for ZX or whether he is still into the character of Gao Zhun. But literally i can't see Dayin getting hurt. It's stretching long and it will make nothing but an innocent girl who wanted just ZZ to have a stable good job so that they can marry to become emotionally exhausted person in this process and hurt. And i am not ready for that.

Ep6,The whole incident of miao jing health was so hard to both her and chen yi. Sometimes we forget that he is also a kid just 2 years older than her...he don't know what a girl is going through because sometimes as a girl we also don't know what's wrong with us. And he felt guilty of making her eat outside food and neglecting her care which he was clueless about. Not to mention the hospital bills. It's hard on him. Plus miao jing being a girl she also don't know what's wrong with her. I mean she just hit puberty. No one helped her. Generally a mother helps in this case to differentiate what's normal and what's not or any female elder. But she had none. Also she can't go to him and tell him these issues..not to mention she already thinks that she is burden to him by letting him take up all the responsibilities and all she can do is to bear the pain and study to apply for scholarship. Until things gets escalated and both felt guilty about whatever happened. But in reality this couldn't be helped in any way. The entry of cop and his fiancee was like God sending an angel to help these young teenage people and assuring that they are allowed to make mistakes afterall they are still learning. One thing that stucked in my heart was how chen yi was looking at jing miao when she was sleeping at hospital after surgery...it's as if he is looking at a girl who is his entire world which she is with a hint of concern. The whole mention of "i want to eat hot pot" , "u know what i want to eat" and chen yi just brought something he thought will make her feel good is his way to show care. He didn't knew that it's not recommended after surgery. The way he get her hot pot like she said...these small gestures are what makes their relationship so beautiful. It's nothing grand but the impact that leave upon them was grand.

Plus that app crashes a lot. And I have heard that after getting subscription cancellation is hard although they have policy. Saying this because I was and an still considering to have a viki pass. But i still like viki because of accuracte subtitles and getting subs even in songs. Which is missing even in Netflix.

Have to stop in start of ep6 to ask why these people are not letting him get money that he earned after playing table pool?

Deal breaker as in deal breaker in therapy not in drama. 😶 Obviously u can enjoy/ critique do whatever u want. None of my words depict that u cant.It's ok.. sometimes we people can misunderstand each other. Good day :)

U think reading novel will get me much more clarity with what's going on between ZZ and ZX? And how for ZX, FC and the drama they are shooting is s way to control both ZZ and GZ? Because i get FC is manipulative but how things are blurring between FC and ZX and the whole characters? And how ZX is manipulative? Because tbh I am not thinking ZX as grey character here. He sure has done somethings wrong. But to be labelled as this drama as "Physiological" i don't understand.

But this is a genuine ques. How to understand what Zhan zhun and zhen xin is feeling? If drama they are shooting is imp then how to understand that how the lines between drama they are shooting and how they are feeling is actually blurring? We are getting way less screen time for zhang zhun and zhen xin...that they seem so distant to me. I am not able to understand their bond. If zhen xin is manipulative like feng chi and is also playing with zhang zhun when he is interacting with gao zhun I need to understand the real zhen xin and zhang zhun's feeling towards him. I am having hard time in connecting with zhang zhun and zhen xin because i know very little of them...i am more invested in gao zhun and feng chi story. But it should be opposite right? It should be zhen xin who is manipulating zhang zhun through drama they are shooting.

But lot of things has already crossed the line. The relationship between therapist and the patient was long being blurred the moment feng chi started involving in his personal life and the second he started confronting gao zhun.. because as a therapist u don't do that to avoid any sort of Codependence. U mean to say this is the deal breaker for u?? Feng chi saying to reveal everything in detail?

Actually that's what the issue is. I know not everything can be potrayed in the drama well but if u need to read book to get the understanding of characters and the real life them in drama not the drama they are shooting inside drama then this adaptation according to me is failure.

This has long been the history. All good things should come to immortal sect or gods as they don't misuse it and the moment something goes to demon world. They will be like they will misuse and destroy world. Which always leads to power imbalance and demon sect doing more evil as they feel suppressed.

Ep5, Loved everything. This ep made me smile so much. The way miao jing didn't wanted to go to home as she didn't wanted to be burden to him. And the way chen yi's friend just quietly understood and investigated the situation and told him says a lot that how good a friend he is. The moment chen yi just heard and the way he cleaned house so that when she comes she feel good.

What i loved in this ep was two things. The way chen yi just went to her and followed her till she express her grievances. That she is also a family then why he kicked her out? She felt so hurt. And out of sadness and anger and frustration as a teenager does she just cried and the way chen yi just hugged her was sooo comforting. Pure family vibe.

I just loved the way jing miao quietly and unknowingly was stepping into his world...from collecting cans to collecting scraps and understanding that his life was so hard...despite having a father a child was not able to have a proper meal was so heartbreaking both to her and me as an audience. The way they share ramen and pay electricity bills as if they are now each other's everything. They were in so much poverty struggling hard to sustain themselves and lead a life where atleast they can afford basic needs but what they had during that time was genuine care that both never got from their parents. In struggle they found their genuine smile. So comforting.

Chen yi has taken her as his only person and family whom he care about and that's why he is so responsible for her. He thinks of paying tution fees which he himself don't know but he is ready to take that responsibility. The way after he got to know that her school life can come to an end if he don't get money..all he can do was to take diff path just to afford that. He is slowly going into darkness just to be the light in her life and have a good bond that they are sharing..

Even jing miao was not indifferent. She immediately said that she just want to talk to her mother so that she can take responsibility and don't want to leave him...the way she throwed the electric wire that haunts chen yi shows that they have stepped into each other's world.

This was their journey from "u are not my family" to " u are my only family". And the sweet beginning of their relationship from family to emotional codependency and love in the backdrop of loneliness, abondonment, ruins and trauma.

Actually if u see the trend of genz and gen aplha. They are strongly against these themes and who like this..including me wants to see toxicity handled nicely. But the problem is that the adaptation is from old chinese danmei. And those were the time when these things were actually not talked about or seen as romantic( my head just spins whenever I see millennials talking about their concept of love, relationship and the trauma they claim as normal carrying as emotional baggage)..To my shore was an exception..It depends on author as well. Here lan lin throwed toxicity to the extreme level that no matter what u do u can't handle this level of toxicity or bring justice to any character except yichen( he could have gotten justice by living alone for the rest of life after all these because he can actually leave lufeng) but lufeng in true sense whether he was toxic or not he was written in a way that he could have never gotten happy ending in true sense. That's why ending is bittersweet.

Maybe when they adapt old danmei novels apart from toning down the characters they need to think or come up with a good redemption arc for the actions they have caused. Or just start afresh with new story.

Ep4, i loved how miao jing...just leaned an umbrella towards chen yi when he was grieving for his father. As if saying i am here and u are not alone.

Their bond is just based on pure care for each other. They both bring comfort to each in these sequence of events. The way chen yi understood that she is collecting empty cans to get the money to just affort the food and dorm fees and he brought her winter clothes. Not to mention China's winter winds are not blocked by anything so temp goes too low. How he just bring her outside the mob and cleverly helped her that she can't reach her mother herself. How he beat those people who were taking revenge on jing miao. How she also don't want to be burden but she also smiled when he gave her winter clothes and saying he is not her family just to keep him out of her trouble...such a pure family vibe.

My heart breaks for chen yi. Afterall he just became an adult. His life is soo hard. He has nothing. No home , no family, no college, no stable job. All he has is responsibility and love. He gives love to his friend. He seek comfort and give care to jing miao. He even gave her all the money he had just so that she gets herself a good roof because he knew that atp he can't even keep her in their home... similarly jing miao lost her mother, all money.

All they have is themselves and each other to rely on...that police officer was a gem. I see his fiancee would be someone who will give a guiding light to jing miao...

Why this story is getting more and more sad???
