That old lady. She was never trusting her doctors about tests. But ZhengLiang nature of being always straightforward yet not in rude way assured her.
She felt seen when zheng Liang for the first time atleast read and pinpointed the mistakes when all years her protest posters were not noticed because of mistakes. She was fighting for her justice and principles. She wanted to be heard. Not as in resolving issue. But hearing her words and understand the pain...that was a good start. That's when simple pinpointing to her mistakes made her give up all her doubts with zheng Liang.
She opened her heart in front of him that i don't have money. But if I can live I will. If not I can't spend much. Trust. Earning the trust of patient.
This time zheng liang did warmed up from before. He said she can see him and he is there. Any discomfort tell him...he is warming up in his approach as a doctor as in comforting. He is learning the language of comforting his patient.
That heartfelt meal with director dong was when zheng liang was eating fully. A successful surgery, helping a fellow with his pet, a gratitude from his patient and warm meal with someone is all what is needed to bring a smile. A genuine smile from heart.
He says crappy city, crappy place, crappy hospital,crappy people. But that "crappy city" he is referring is slowly becoming a city that has a lot to offer him. As Zheng Liang and as Doctor ZhengLiang.
Episode 3:Ai chen family is hilarious. I laughed through out their scenes. The hospital atmosphere is really suffecating…
Ig he is just so used to big city amenities that getting used to small hospital is little bit uncomfortable to him. He say he don't wanna work and he will lie flat but once his patients come he deeply care for them. As a patient or common folks u don't know what does report data mean or no means. He take that factual data and bluntly tell truth to his patients. He make sure that he is backing up with data and facts about his diagnosis. He speaks confidently. If he don't know he say. That's what makes him a doctor his patients can trust.
Ep3, the way he was seeing hospital caught me off guard.
That door knob.
That knob said u don't have to be fixed always when broken to its previous state.
U can still be useful and worthy despite being broken as u are unique.
And who knows just like that door knob people are trying to replicate exact same thing that u think needs to be fixed?
Who knows the door knob u are trying to fix is now perfect in its own way? By adding extra layer of security?
Somethings and some people are beautiful just the way they are with their small flaws and hurtful challenges they faced in their life like ZhengLiang but still trying to move forward in life. Perseverance.

I don't care about ratings. Just asking. Anyhow, this drama is very much needed for me atp. I badly needed a comforting and healing drama. I ain't expert in medical terms. So i am going with flow about that. The story and character touch me that is imp. That's where i am liking this drama. Despite medical terms, healing journey, character growth, it also have funny moments. After such a long time I am laughing with my heart that's imp. I appreciate this drama more than no..despite only having released 4 ep.

Diff opinion😅. To me yes songs were there more. But it also added to the story. If u listen to lyrics it's telling what that story is talking about in that moment and the mood of it. So it kinda worked for me.
Ep2, ZhengLiang might come out as cold person. Who doesn't know how to express his emotions in a comforting emotional way. He talks, speaks and understand facts. But he is indeed warm person. He will go to all lengths to save his brother but he will still say I will treat all my patients equally. He might have not given Zheng Guang his emotional support. But he did made sure that he is there for him that sense it's given to Guang. Guang was scared of death. And was sad that he is adopted. His brother made sure that he Live. He thought if i do surgery he will make it. Not only because of skills but because he has faith in himself that he can save him. He wanted his brother to get operated by best hands.
When he did his succesful surgery all he remembered was childhood wish of Guang they once witnessed and his brother prayed under the sun in cold climate. Just like their relationship. To play with him and not to be afraid of the snow. And isn't what Guang still want this? He wants his brother to be warm and beside him and not afraid of snow.
Here, 'ge' sounds so warming. It's polite, warm, heart melting. Him calling 'ge' after operation to Liang hit diff to me. After handing the reports, he clarified that Zheng Liang is a caring brother.
As a child, when Liang had to go to diff region just to get over with PTSD episodes. He didn't wanted to. As a child he felt is my mother leaving me too? Because now my brother is here is she leaving me? That is enough to say how much he has fear of people leaving him.
Xiao Zhan. Idk i thought it's a norm for me to get impressed by his acting with each series. But no, here he impress me by his acting in each episode. From the smile of Wei Wuxian in Untamed to the smile of ZhengLiang in this drama after resolving his brother sadness and illness is just so diff. In Untamed, his smile can light up ur mood and day. It's mischievous. Here his smile just warms ur heart. Same person same smile but diff feeling. What an actor he is.
Just have one doubt. Why Zheng Liang don't want to be in hospital again?

This is a healing slice of life drama. Its pacing will be slow yet comforting. It will deal with lot of medical terms but at the end u will still enjoy if u like this type of genre. I don't like slice of life at all. But xiao zhan acting make up for it. I am sorry i am not aware of other artists in this drama but so far acting looks good.
It will be hard to say if this is good atp given only first day of the drama. But based on ep1. Because till that ep I have watched it's good. To me i badly needed this drama. So i can't give u neutral suggestion here. But go for it. Watch ep1 and decide if u want to watch. Good day :)

What an intellectual way to show life and death contrast. His family sells urns. Symbolising death. Zheng Liang is s doctor. Symbolising life.
When zheng Liang was coming to home. Everywhere it's new life, missing people, justice posters. Even song talks about that. It's full of life. Something Zheng Liang is devoid of. Not physically but soulfully.
Zheng Liang. He lost everything in the city after that surgery case. But he kept going. Then he heard his mother missing. He kept going. Then he heard his brother broken leg. He kept going. He found last letter of his mother. He kept going. He saw his own father dying in front of him in the snow while he was helpless. He kept going. Seeing deaths everyday in his town while growing up then moving to city where he is everyday dealing with life and death. He still kept going. He learned his brother condition. He still kept going.
It's not that he is cold and don't feel anything. But more like what to feel, for what he should cry for, how much? He ultimately became someone who is feeling so much but still feeling void. And neutral. That's all he can do. That's what his coping mechanism told him to do so. Shut emotions. And keep going. Afterall life must go on.
Somewhere in all these death situations. He has dopamine hit whenever he or his words can save someone. Afterall he saw his own father die. Anything that can save life.
Snow. Representation of coldness. That's what he is afraid of but he went to become one. Not because he stopped being warm. But because life has never given him chance to be warm.
Somewhere under all these difficulties and deaths he is moving towards life. A new beginning. He is going to heal and get warm with his close ones.
Am still in ep1 and i somehow remembered medical surgery case from oath of love. But this is just on diff level. Xiao zhan proved how much he is improving with his drama. I am just happy to see him again after LOZH.
I have one doubt. We are in 1 year ago timeline before that roof collapse incident from ep1 scene1 and after his surgery case?
Ep8, having an idea always that balance always is good. I never thought that it can be this tiring. What crown prince said for the first time it made me ques my own ideology. Is balance really good in administration and till when? Because for the first time after seeing from the lens of party involved I understood it's tiring. Act smart and then u get targeted. Act fool u were uplifted to take power. At the end it's not even a smart choice....or is it a too smart choice. Ig i need to sit down with this ques to ponder over it.
In ep7, Li Si said " there are only one type of people I can't find. Who has lost themselves. Unless they find themselves no one can find them".
There are ques in my head like why Li Si is searching which personnel died or survived in 17 years and urgent military info dispatch and those ministry of war thing. Idk how much it is linked with black chest case. Ep9 should ans this.
