The quality of the drama doesn't depend on the main lead only, but on all actors and characters. Vin Zhang is a great actor and he's portraying XXC beautifully, but Wang Duo is also a great actor and his character is interesting and it's normal that people like him.

I have a question that may not have an answer, but I'm curious. Did CP gain sentience and human form because of ZM's actions, and if so, what happened to BOD? Did he also gain human form later or was he human before CP?

I'm glad you like it. More people should give this drama a chance. There's no big names acting in it, but the quality is high.

I've been watching it since it started airing and I love it! It's different from MM, but still good. 2ML is already one of my favourite characters ever 😂

Everything! There's not a single thing I don't like.
But to be more specific, characters are good! Smart and capable FL, strong and devoted ML, they have a really nice relationship, likable 2ML (he steals every scene he's in, as far as I'm concerned), interesting supporting characters with nicely rounded stories. The story is interesting and the pacing is good. I also like CGI and cinematography in general.

Shi Ying dies in order to defeat the villain, but after 1 year time skip, the petal he turned into after death takes his human form and he and Zhu Yan meet again. It ends after that so some people take it as him coming back, while others are more doubtful and see it as her illusion or something of that sort.

If something happens to Mu Jiu because of Fu Ling, I hope she gets the most painful death possible. I'm so done with her.

Hm, I liked LBFD but not for the comedy, it would never even cross my mind to connect that genre with that specific drama, although I guess there were some funny scenes. I like MM too. There's no comedy tho. The aesthetic/cinematography/costumes and characters have some similarities tho. The relationship between the leads (enemies to lovers) is satisfying and I find the story overall interesting, but if you're looking for the comedy I wouldn't recommend this.

Not gonna lie, I was a bit disappointed that MXL 'ruined' NXY's plan. It's not that I want XXC to die, but it was a really good plan. 🤣 When FY told him he is a madman that was so on point. He's a lovable madman tho, I still feel for him after everything.

No one wants to wait for years for season to come out. It's one of the reasons why a lot of people, me included, prefer Chinese dramas. It's usually one season all at once and you're done. I would rather watch 40 episodes of a Cdrama than wait 4+ years for multiple seasons to come out, like what Americans do.

Okay, I can agree with that.
Why do people who hate him for those exact reasons like Fu Ling who's 100x worse, has no boundaries, forces him to kill people and to help kill the person he loves? I don't see an ounce of respect in her actions towards him, but ppl still eat it up.

I don't have an issue with people disliking CZ, it's true that his actions are annoying, but I do find it funny how (some) people do all kinds of mental gymnastics to justify her actions while tearing him apart.

Yeah, torturing him, turning him into someone he would hate by forcing him to kill people indiscriminately is a true sign of love.

It's true that he's misguided and annoying, but his obsession with BS is more understandable than Fu Ling's obsession with him. He grew up with her, they were family and even engaged, plus he's an eternal and FY is a demon with bad reputation so it's normal that he doesn't trust him.
