I need to watch Bloody Romance after I finish The Blossoming Love. I've already seen him in A League of Nobleman, The Yin-Yang Master and FOF but I never fully realised it's the same actor, even though I liked him in each of those roles. He's so good in TBL tho, completely caught my attention. Now I need more!
I once commented how NXY early on seemed like a broken human, like missing something and bit sociopathic. Well..…
That's so true. Even when he was NXY, he never fully acted 'human,' and that was especially evident in the scenes depicting his and Feng Yao's past. The way he resignedly accepted his fate was kind of chilling, not gonna lie. But there were also some interesting emotional outbursts, and that contrast (evolution?) was portrayed really well. It's hard to categorize or figure him out, which is why I find him so interesting.
EDIT: What I wrote doesn't sit right with me π€£. He did act human, especially in the beginning when he was super nice and helpful, but the flashbacks we were shown later put all of that under question π€
Lots of TMS in this episode. πIt really fascinates me how he carries himself and behaves - his calmness and…
Also, how was it possible for A'Zhu to fall in love? Is it because of ZM's blood? From the conversation between her and TMS it seems like they were not supposed to be able to love ???
Lots of TMS in this episode. π It really fascinates me how he carries himself and behaves - his calmness and indifference combined with his introspection and occasional interest in humans and their behaviour. Honestly, more than anything else, I'm curious about how his story will develop and ultimately end. In this episode he seemed both like an innocent and curious child and like an aged defeatist and unfeeling robot. Does that make sense? π
Remember Fu Ling human memory was erased while Chen Ye still has his memory,,,,, so to me the killing of Fu Ling…
You don't have to have your memories to feel bad about murdering people in cold blood. You don't even have to feel bad, expecting that would be silly considering everything, but you don't have to visibly enjoy doing it. That's the only issue I have.
I have nothing against characters who do enjoy it, but there's no way I can feel any kind of sympathy for them.
Why am I more invested in the side stories than in the main leads' relationship? π I feel sorry for Chen Ye/Qi Feng; his desire for revenge and destruction is completely understandable when you consider everything that happened to him and how he probably felt abandoned by everyone. The fact that I feel sympathy for him while disliking Fu Ling got me thinking, and I realized why. I wish they had shown Fu Ling's 'human side' earlier. Yes, she doesn't have her memories, but she is still the person she used to be. The core of who she was should still be there. If they hadn't portrayed her as gleeful while killing and had instead shown that she didn't have much of a choice (even one or two scenes of her showing restraint or inner conflict would have been enough), it would have been easier to feel sympathy for her.
Chen Ye killed many people without remorse, but at least he showed emotions, although negativeβhe felt human. Fu Ling, on the other hand, came across as a deranged psychopath. Episode 25 is the first time she starts to feel human to me. I have to admit, I'm relieved my feelings toward her are changing because it was really frustrating to feel rage every time her scenes came up, lol.
That scene when MXL and TMS sense ZM's arrival and TMS makes *the face* and turns to look - I think I replayed that part at least 10 times. Wang Duo, the actor you are!!! Also, VZ basically playing three different characters and making each one of them distinct from the others is really impressive. I need more demon lord ZM tho, he's so fun to watch.
I love how interconnected their lives are, both 10 000 years ago and today. The story is so interesting and every episode just keeps getting better and better.
ZM is such a diva. We love him! haha!TM is a pitiful psycho. These two and MXL really have such an interweaved…
I can't relate to you when it comes to my fav psycho (I mean, I don't want him to die), but I know how you feel because it's exactly how I feel about Fu Ling in MM π€£π€£π€£
"It's no longer the law of the jungle. It's the law of me" - I ACTUALLY SCREAMED! That was so damn cool and hot. He's such an authoritative diva.
And also,
"I don't need you to love me, but just to be there for me" - that's actually incredibly sad. He's a psycho but he has a good reason. Imagine being eternal, always having a companion, and then all of a sudden losing that companion. The prospect of never ending loneliness is terrifying.
Btw, can someone tell me why did XXC destroy his spiritual channel back when he was in the past? I don't get that part.
okay so in episode 2 towards the end wwx says that i wish i could go back "16" years and it is then shown to be…
You're right, it doesn't make sense. They made it sound like he wanted to go back to the year when he died, instead of few years earlier. As you said, and as @ShortCircuit explained, a lot of time passed between Cloud Recesses journey and his death.
