I would be embarrassed to write this after the latest scandal with data stealing but I guess some people are just shameless, or as they say, ignorance is bliss.

3D animation style is just horrendous tho. I tried watching it two times and just couldn't continue. I might try reading the novel once I finish the drama, the original story does seem interesting.

I love how soul rings look when they appear and the sound they make. It's oddly satisfying.

You have 5 of his other works under "completed" though. It's kinda funny.

It's really getting better with every episode and things are finally falling into place and starting to make sense. I'm glad the focus isn't only on Tang San but on the team as a whole. Fight Break Sphere is the only drama similar to this that I watched and the huge difference between the ML and the rest of his friends somewhat bothered me because compared to him they were all useless. I'm glad that's not the case here. I like their friendship, the pairings, their banter. Xiao Wu may be annoying sometimes but I like how she and Tang San keep protecting each other and how it's not one sided at all. I have some minor complaints but all in all I've been enjoying it a lot. I'll definitely binge rewatch once all episodes are out, I have a feeling that watching these episodes back to back would be better, especially seeing how they keep making these weird cuts between them.

I do. She is the only character I find irritating. She's like a leech, always following them around and being useless >.>

I don't think there is a single drama rated 5 or below 5 on MDL. 8.1 is high everywhere else except on this site.

That JoL cliffhanger was amazing though, one of the main reasons why I rated it 10. If it has to be a cliffhanger I hope it's something like that one haha

Yeah, I really like some of these compositions (especially for the more suspenseful parts), they sound so unique, but they could've found something better when it comes to fighting scenes. All in all I don't think it's bad tho.

Tang San's DAD? I didn't expect that.
I like how their friendship is developing btw. Ma Hong Jun and Tang San are my favorites! Ning Rong Rong is annoying but at the same time lovable? I dig that. Also, I'm so conflicted about the BGM. Some of it is so unique and fitting for certain scenes but there are cases where it doesn't really fit and it makes the whole scene look awkward. Idk.

Ahh, I want to get the rest of the available episodes but I also want to draw this out as much as I can >.<

There are no kisses or hand holding but there is some very meaningful gazing. I personally choose to see it as a bromance because I prefer platonic relationships but the original novel is definitely BL and it can be interpreted as more than just a friendship in the drama as well. I guess. It's a beautiful relationship either way.

Reading this I can completely understand you, I think. I never had the same experience with the novel-movie adaptations (idk why, I just view them differently) but I remember watching certain drama's movie sequel and absolutely hating it because both the character's personality and basic rules of the drama universe were changed. I still think DC is a good drama if you watch it without the prior knowledge of the universe but I can definitely understand where people who had certain expectations are coming from.

Ou Si Ka! I admit, that was funny AF. I mentioned it before but I really love the humor in this show. CGI continues to impress me as well. Those two are the strong points of this drama for sure. After episode 12 & 13 I was a bit frustrated that they slowed things down again (even though ep. 13 was good) but in the last two we're finally moving on and new things are happening and well, I'm excited. I want to see Tang San fighting again! (want to see more of him in general)
I thought that old lady was the spirit beast when she showed up (LOL) but then the real one showed up and WOW. It looked so good!

Also, I really didn't like that opening song at the beginning of every episode but after listening to it so many times I came to love it.

Exactly. All this talk about XZ fans and their rating is tiresome. I'm his fan and I rated this 10 because I genuinely enjoy it and people who pretend to be objective are rating it 1. But I also gave 3 to one of his dramas, and left 3 of his works unrated because I didn't really enjoy them. People act like being someone's fan means you lose every sense of objectivity and quite frankly it's annoying. In what universe is 1 considered more objective than 10 *rolls eyes* when we haven't even seen half of it.

Just finished ep. 10 & 11 and previews for ep. 12 & 13 and the story is getting more and more interesting! I really loved the special effects in these last two episodes and the fighting scenes were much better than the ones before (we could actually see their moves and there was no slow motion. Yay!) Ma Hong Jun seems like an interesting character. It's funny how I recognized his voice actor from Battle Through the Heavens but didn't recognize it's also Jin Guangyao's voice from The Untamed even though I've watched TU 4 times (・о・). But anyway, I really like the pacing of this and looking forward to more.

They're not saying you're a troll because you're disappointed but because 5 people already explained to you why that rebirth storyline had to be changed and you still keep ranting about it. It's fine tho, you have the right to be disappointed and to rant, but don't be surprised if other people see you as a troll.

Also, it would be nice if you could stop writing novel/donghua spoilers if people don't explicitly ask for them. Most of us think about drama spoilers when using those spoiler tags and expect to read something drama related. I get it, you're bitter, but don't ruin this for other people.

What kind of role does Yu Bin have here? I thought about watching it because of him so I'm curious.
