Favorite line for this series is young master Yue answering Yun Que ‘you ever raised pigs, you need to feed them until they’re nice and fat before they can become tasty ribs’ when she asked why he cared about her eating or not.
that guy was boring that's probably why most people didn't notice when he disappeared and only received a offhanded sentence to explain what happened to him, I rather watch a Shisan prequel.
I think they mentioned him in single sentence later on after he escapes about looking for him, and then I didn't remember hearing about him again. Plus I don't think think that part got subbed either by anyone so far, I'm waiting to see if Viki will sub that part.
What a journey it had been...I was afraid for a moment there that we'll have to wait for a sequel but thank the…
Wasn't this the same place LX grandfather and mother were when first demon king arch reached the end? LX mother jumped in to keep the demons from using her to open the door to the demon realm, and the grandfather was already down there are from when he was overthrown. If her mother could leave with help wouldn't that mean others can too? Viki hasn't subbed to that point yet so zim just basing this off the visuals and my poor language skills.
If anyone is still on the fence about watching this because the lead actors age/looks. Ep 50 at about 42:06 watch for ten seconds, I doubt younger less experience actors can pull off that scene.
i'm at episode 46 and already losing my patience with this drama. up until episode 30 or so i was really enjoying…
When watching any asian fantasy you can't use modern logic and social standards to explain how the world works. There's a line later in the series I don't know how to fully translate to english but it sorta sums up JC. In times of peace gods can be carefree and enjoy things like love, but in times of unrest duty must comes first, above personal wants. In the world the characters live the fact that JC is a god and AM is a mortal under the rules of this world gods are not allow to infer with mortal lives. He's a god and AM is a short period in LX life in the long run, he's trying to keep the larger objective in front and let her undergo the trials on her own, since her failure means she dies both as mortal and a god. JC is like a teenager at this point in the story and new to 'feelings' (the man needed flirting tips from his younger brother), so he doesn't always make sense in his actions. He recognizes the need to let her undergo each trial on her own, at the same time he isn't able to completely ignore her pain so he goes back.

It might go better for you if you think of c-drama love as a disease where people develop a hole in the back of their heads thus causing their brains to dribble out slowly over the course of 45 hours (aka 60 eps).
Look at the poster. There's an extra hand on yeo jin goo... mistake?
Could be from the position of Bae Hae Seon in the picture it might be a photoshop fail, or being this the Hotel Del Luna its just one of the guests wanting to be part of the picture.
So far I haven't seen Man Wol wear the same outfit twice and I'm getting xxxholic vibes from the show. The series so far up to ep 5 is interesting and I hope it stays that way.
I love Wu Bai and his willingness to throw his cousin under the bus to save himself from things like Grandpa's matching making. Drunk TN is absolutely hilarious, HSY look of absolute defeat at the things she does is priceless. This series is sweet story, great way unwind at the end of the day.
Is anyone else confused with ep 5 or is it just me? I have no clue what happened.
No not just you, there were to many storylines going on in ep 5, reading the recaps help keep them straight. Try to focus on the parts about WM and his need to become a demigod to save someone important to to him, and rest seems to be filler including SM and SG part.
Is this kinda like Goblin?Feels like it from the trailers and description.
Not really, Goblin was about character development and the story focused mostly on the lives of the main characters as they worked out their internal issues. So far Hwayugi, is shaping along the lines a monster of the week format, with a forced love base servant contract thrown in to move the character forward in the story instead. Think of it as Bride of Habaek meets Wu Xin: The Monster Killer.
is this drama worth watching??
what is you opinion guys?
I think the drama is worth binge watching over the weekend.
The story so far is good, but not 'I can't wait for the next eps to be available so I can watch it on my tiny 3 inch cell phone screen during my 15 minute breaks at work good,' the way Eternal Love or Princess Agent was.

What girl needs a sword when she can use a brick to get rid of people standing in her way.
