Some of my favs are missing too. Like, I love Kamden, but I just don't see him in this team. I could have picked him for his rap easily, but if we talk about balancing the team in terms of personalities, marketability, variety skills etc. he would not stand out and match the team.

Trainees I think should debut based not just on the individual talent, but also marketability and creating balance in the group. (in no particular order except no1 - also I did not even add some of my favs 😭)

👑 Sung Han Bin - obvious reason. Center position.
💖 Zhang Hao - obvious reason. Great presence on stage, softer presence off stage - would do good to counterbalance more hyped members.
🎤 Kim Tae Rae - Main vocal. We do not want a group that has passable vocals, but nothing standing out. Also, that smile is a killer. He also has one of the strongest fanbases in Korea so marketable af.
🌍 Keita - all-rounder and helps balance the group with his experience in the industry. Possible leader. Helps with Japanese market, but being fluent in Korean and part of the Korean entertainment industry for a long time makes him also marketable in Korea.
🖊️ Lee Jeong Hyeon - We need rappers. And he can write his own verses. He can hold a note so even with more melodic songs he would not fall behind.
💪🏻 Park Gun Wook - We need rappers pt.2. Not to mention strong stage presence. We also need a maknae with distinctive personality and presence and Gun Wook not being this cute young guy would play to his advantage, especially since he actually is adorable, even if he does not look the part at first.
🎤 Yoo Seung Eon - 2 solid main vocalist is a must. We need 2 vocals and 2 rappers, and the rest can be filled with all-rounders. But yeah, to get more diverse music and sound, we need people who can hit them more difficult notes.
😆 Park Han Bin - Personality wise we need one hype person to lift the mood. Was considering either him or Kum Jun Hyeon, but I simply think the "class clown" image Jun Hyeon has was just too strong (mnet fault) and I don't feel like I saw anything else from him off stage. On the other hand Han Bin would have a strong grip on the team during the practice, and every team needs someone who is both strict, but also encouraging.
🥰 Seok Matthew - aka the "fake" maknae. Yes, we need a cute member in the group. We need a member who can bright the room with just a smile - especially important in interviews and variety shows. He can also easily carry a lead vocal position, as long as no one asks him to belt ad-libs. Extremely marketable for the global audience.

i watched moments here and there, but it was so awkward 🤣 the guys are so not used to lives and as much as i Love Hanbin, he kept getting lost as MC 😂

And he honestly does not have to be. Idols don't have to be good at everything (at least that's what I think lol). He has a great voice, does good on stage, solid dancing and is fun to watch for the variety shows. He does not have to also be good at leading. I just hope he can figure that out, because I feel like he is wasting time to handle things he does not have to.

I'm just confused why you named Hui here out of all the trainees, coz practically it makes no sense, because he was never one to outshine Zhang Hao since they were in a team together ONCE and Zhang Hao was literally the star of that performances voted by the audience 🤣

I'm confused where that idea that Hui is the one ruining it for Zhang Hao comes from. Saying Hui makes it hard for Jay to shine, that I can agree with, but Zhang Hao? There was literally not one situation when it happened.

What you wrote is that you ae frustrated when Hui is in the same team with Zhang Hao coz then Zhang Hao can never get killing part. Killing part has a specific meaning, but you use it as overall someone who has a lot of screen time in the episode and performance. You are mixing together different roles the trainees might have, hence my replies.

You pointed out Hui when Hui was literally not once the reason Zhang Hao was not able to shine in the performance. That one time they were together in the group Zhang Hao actually shined the most, got the most votes from the live audience and the episode was focused during practice on how hard working he is and how good his korean is in Tom Boy.

So I'm just confused why out of all the trainees you named Hui, when literally Hui and Zhang Hao almost never crossed paths before, and when they ended up in the group, Hui did not take anything away from Zhang Hao.

Yeah sure Hui has a lot of focus on him and gets main vocal parts, but that's not what your first comment talks about. You clearly specified "killing part", which Hui never got, not once.

You said you are salty Zhang Hao never gets killing part when he is in team with Hui, but Hui also never got killing part, so it's not Hui who stops Zhang Hao from getting that killing part, but other trainees who actually got it.

If your issue is Zhang Hao never getting killing part, you are directing your frustration towards wrong person, since Hui never had killing part either.

For me han yu jin is up there skill wise, but he is simply too young to debut, especially with this creepy "noona i love you" narration they are giving him and would probably keep going after he debuts. This child is obviously uncomfortable with it.

One of the reasons I always said to never drag other trainees' names when one is unhappy or sad about their fav's situation. Coz it never leads to any good results - literally never.

Sure he always wants to try to get one, but at the end not once he actually got it, so it literally did not affect any of the trainees.

If I did bad job as a leader once, I would probably not try next time, especially before the finale when there is so much shit to worry about 🤣

on the lighter note, I'm finishing the episode only now and I have 2 thoughts:

I never laughed as hard as when Yu Jin said "Han Bin is talented, but "Hot Summer" is a very seductive song. I believe I can express that well through my performance" YOU 16 YEARS CHILD!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

And also when Matthew wanted to lead Jelly Pop team 😂 this child never learns hahaha

all i wanted from this show was to see 2 han bins perform together and watch them in their practice together, and now it won't ever happen in the context of show 😭 like we legit never really see them interact much on screen, but we kind of get the idea they do - it's just never shown.

Not even gonna lie, about half way through the show I started to be far more invested and interested in them than the leads 😂

Gun Wook is young. They send him to all the shows to gain more and more fans. Just 17, so yeah they don't need to rush him to debut. Jellyfish is not the worst company, but also not the best. They debuted group in 2019, so I guess they might try their luck either now (if Gun wook does not debut with Boys Planet) or debut a group with him after Boys Planet group disbands.

The ravi issue is a new one. Hopefully the agency will manage to work around it

It's not the worst agency. The thing is, the debut might happen, I'm more worried how they will manage the group after the debut, coz they kind of suck with promotion
