You are not used to this site if you think this is a 6/10. Not even some of the worst dramas out there go below…
1. nothing goes below 7 because there are people who either refuse to use the whole scale "because these people worked hard on this show" or because they literally rate everything 10. It's not a good thing, because it makes rating useless. When all shows are in the 8.0 to 8.9 scale.

2. I've been on this website since 2013, I find rating a show one does not like that much a 6 perfectly fine. It has nothing to do with how used to this site anyone is.

Do you mean the rats by they?
Coz if yes, answer is simple - they were hungry. The villagers (aka the son of the head village) taught rats how raw and fresh meet tastes, and then they had no issues attacking even alive creatures when they were hungry.

Why he did it? For revenge. It was not just the chief that was a bad person that led to his son's death. Everyone was blissfully ignorant, turning their back on him when they got what they wanted.
The only thing that confuses me is why he targeted the kids too...

I think he was for most of the show more than just one step ahead 😂 but that's also why i think the ending was a bit weak, coz there was no reason for me to believe they were able to outsmart him out of the blue...

The bad guy is this was truly powerful. I don't think I have ever seen a show where the bad guy played the good ones so much, when at some point, i truly was not sure they cab even win against him.

Great review. I agree with all the points.
My biggest issue was the lack of development for two main characters.
Heon was a fine and nice dude from the start, so nothing much change by the end.
And then Sol Yi could have had a nice development and become more mature, but by the age od 30, she still acted like a middle school child.

I was okay with FL acting all childish in high school, but the end the show with her being 30 and still acting like a child... there was literally no character development done on any of the mains... they stayed more or less the same throughout the show 🙃

Everything you said is really true. I'd like to think Jae Woo is repeating his life from 10 years every time like…
Everyone can add the reasoning for his action, I can explain it in a similar fashion too - him dying and making sure everything goes exactly as it was in the first place is the only way to be 100% sure Jae Woo will survive. But that's the issue - it's how I explain the character's actions and not what drama actually shows. They did not give the reasoning, we as watchers had to make them ourselves.

The ending makes no sense. Didn't he come bac on January 30th? So past the date he hostel was closed... so technically he cannot go back anymore. We saw him standing in front of closed dorm. The loop makes no sense 🤣

To anyone considering watching this drama for the First time, please don't be discouraged by the rating. This…
I'd appreciate if people accept the fact some people had issues with the show that had nothing to do with the fact the ending was tragic 🙂 I'm one of the people.

I am never a fan of tragic endings for BLs but this one was well done. Every single viewer knew that the show…
I think the intention was to free Jae Woo from his guilt and for him to know that Ji Hoon had willingly sacrificed himself to save him. And Ji Hoon would choose to do it again in loop after loop. < yeah, but you can do it without making Ji Hoon look like an idiot. Literally just adding "I could try to change the outcome, but the only way to be sure you survive, is to keep it as it was" or something like that. Giving a proper reasoning (or any tbh) for the characters action is a must.

I love how much respect they had for each other. Them understanding that their jobs are demanding and never making an issue out of it was awesome. Showed that while they were a couple, they were also individuals.

About the ending.

First of all… I get that Ji Hoon decided to save Jae Woo knowing he will die. Why did he not even TRY to defend himself? Bring a knife or any type of a weapon. He just stood there, LITERALLY hands down, waiting to be stabbed. Why did he not try to fight back? Whatever emotional impact this scene might have had, was gone. That’s just natural selection.

Then there is this whole “different Jae Woo next 15 years later” or something like that. Is this drama supposed to tap into the “all timelines are happening all the time at the same time, so they will keep meeting over and over again all the time?”. That’s dumb. It works practically, but none of them will have the memories, since they were always experiencing it for the first time in all time lines… So from the perspective of that specific Ji Hoon, this makes a shitty explanation.

And then we had a cherry on top, Joo Hyung Jin, who is supposed to be 40 in the present timeline, looking exactly like his 25 years old self in the past and me feeling like a 🤡 You could have cast someone to act as him… Anyone. I would rather have a guy who does not look that similar to him, but the right age, than this baby face guy trying to convince me he is a 40 years old lawyer with his own law firm.

There is one good thing about the ending - that’s when it hits you, it was never about saving Ji Hoon, but Jae Woo dealing with his trauma that more or less stopped him from enjoying life. He said it himself, from the age of 10 to the end of high school he basically never left his room. Then he ran away from his issues, started university and did his military service, but it was clear he was not really happy. With the experience of meeting Ji Hoon, he was finally able to take that step and start living in the present, not being dragged down by the past events.

Yea, that amnesiac guy reminds me of the movie Memento. Also, this drama is only 12 episodes total, so things are…
yeah, I keep forgetting it's just 12 episodes, and we are in fact half way through. The pacing is good.

So theory time - Chi Sik is using the guy who lost his wife to kill the dudes. He tells him via phone his wife died because of them, and since he doesn't remember shit, he can be fooled every time. Random, I know 🤣

The killer is obviously NOT Si Baek and I don't think Gi Do is related. He just fine with it coz it's short term solving his issues.

Happy to finally see Jang Yi Yeon. I LOVE Park So Jin and I think she is one of the most talented idols turned actresses out there.

Hope Gyeong Jin Detective will be smart. For now, I am not annoyed even tho she sees Si Baek as a suspect, but I can't blame her, dude seems sus as fuck. He is sus as fuck. He ain't a killer, but he sus.

It only been 6 episode, but feels like 10 🤣

Truth be told, I never pegged Bai Jing Ting as being able to carry the role of a police officer. < same. But I was convinced he can actually pull if of rather fast while I was watching the drama. Overall, the performances were really strong in the show.

Great review I must say 😊
