2. I've been on this website since 2013, I find rating a show one does not like that much a 6 perfectly fine. It has nothing to do with how used to this site anyone is.
Coz if yes, answer is simple - they were hungry. The villagers (aka the son of the head village) taught rats how raw and fresh meet tastes, and then they had no issues attacking even alive creatures when they were hungry.
Why he did it? For revenge. It was not just the chief that was a bad person that led to his son's death. Everyone was blissfully ignorant, turning their back on him when they got what they wanted.
The only thing that confuses me is why he targeted the kids too...
My biggest issue was the lack of development for two main characters.
Heon was a fine and nice dude from the start, so nothing much change by the end.
And then Sol Yi could have had a nice development and become more mature, but by the age od 30, she still acted like a middle school child.
The ending makes no sense. Didn't he come bac on January 30th? So past the date he hostel was closed... so technically he cannot go back anymore. We saw him standing in front of closed dorm. The loop makes no sense 🤣
and I have to say some are truly questionable 🤡
Hyung Jin was truly amazing character! :)
Great review 👍🏻
First of all… I get that Ji Hoon decided to save Jae Woo knowing he will die. Why did he not even TRY to defend himself? Bring a knife or any type of a weapon. He just stood there, LITERALLY hands down, waiting to be stabbed. Why did he not try to fight back? Whatever emotional impact this scene might have had, was gone. That’s just natural selection.
Then there is this whole “different Jae Woo next 15 years later” or something like that. Is this drama supposed to tap into the “all timelines are happening all the time at the same time, so they will keep meeting over and over again all the time?”. That’s dumb. It works practically, but none of them will have the memories, since they were always experiencing it for the first time in all time lines… So from the perspective of that specific Ji Hoon, this makes a shitty explanation.
And then we had a cherry on top, Joo Hyung Jin, who is supposed to be 40 in the present timeline, looking exactly like his 25 years old self in the past and me feeling like a 🤡 You could have cast someone to act as him… Anyone. I would rather have a guy who does not look that similar to him, but the right age, than this baby face guy trying to convince me he is a 40 years old lawyer with his own law firm.
There is one good thing about the ending - that’s when it hits you, it was never about saving Ji Hoon, but Jae Woo dealing with his trauma that more or less stopped him from enjoying life. He said it himself, from the age of 10 to the end of high school he basically never left his room. Then he ran away from his issues, started university and did his military service, but it was clear he was not really happy. With the experience of meeting Ji Hoon, he was finally able to take that step and start living in the present, not being dragged down by the past events.
The killer is obviously NOT Si Baek and I don't think Gi Do is related. He just fine with it coz it's short term solving his issues.
Happy to finally see Jang Yi Yeon. I LOVE Park So Jin and I think she is one of the most talented idols turned actresses out there.
Hope Gyeong Jin Detective will be smart. For now, I am not annoyed even tho she sees Si Baek as a suspect, but I can't blame her, dude seems sus as fuck. He is sus as fuck. He ain't a killer, but he sus.
It only been 6 episode, but feels like 10 🤣
Great review I must say 😊
