I feel like they truly did a decent job with Jiwoo's side. It was more of an explanation not justification for his actions.
Great review 👍🏻
I agree that the ending was perfect. Loved how they kept the silly bickering till the end and it was not all cheesy. Because the bickering was part of the good chemistry they had.
Great and detailed review! 😊
But overall, I agree with a lot of your points 😉
I feel you about Hotel Del Luna. They focused so much on IU's character, they completely forgot about all the other aspects that make a drama.
Jung Somin is one of my favorite actresses. She can deliver any role. But, if she comes back for season 2, I will be pissed, because the production team confirmed she will not be part of part 2. So if they bring her back, it's basically lying to the audience for the marketing, and it's something truly hate.
Great review. Even tho I did not share the love for the show, I can clearly understand why you loved it so much :)
The dad sees the room full of dead animals and crosses upside down. What does he do? Goes inside and looks around. He had probably the least brain power from all the characters. Loved him.
The whole discussion “ Are you sure it’s the real Satan” among the priests. GOLD. Also, this dialogue:
priest 1: there is no reason to believe all your stories!
priest 2: but it cut off my hand! so i wouldn't be able to pray anymore!
priest 1: if it wanted you to stop praying, it would cut off your tongue!
GOLD 🤣
I could stop laughing because the movie by an accident explains why atheists are never possessed. They go by: devil targets people who are angry because of some tragedy in their lives, this creates resentment towards god. But since atheists don't believe in god, there is no resentment towards him, so devil can't do shit 🤣
When the daughter starts burning? Omg I almost fell off the chair from laughing - it was so out of the blue and I did not expect that at all.
the only times she helped with investigating Jin Mu was for Jang Uk's benefit and his "issues" and not her own...
But many people don't drop shows at all, no matter how bad they are. They might not enjoy a show almost at all, and still rate it 7+, because "they feel bad for people involved in making it". There are also people who rate everything they watch as 10, no matter how much they liked it. So even among people who finish all the show, majority does not use the full scale...
I just feel like the writers added too many layers into this, filled it with misdirects and for me it usually (before the show ends I cannot say it's the case here tho) means the writers is trying to hide either lack of writing talent or a predictable plot...
But Sung Joon's theory was that the taxi driven killed her coz of his anger issues. (same as he tried to kill the teenage girl). Is it me, or are they making it way too complicated? I thought they made it obvious everyone in the juty was somehow related to the past events. But they kind of moved away from that idea, and are setting "one of the jury is the killer". They are adding layers over layers of information, not denying nor confirming anything, and while up till now it's fun, it will be tiresome at some point...
I see people in comment section already giving up trying to figure out the story, and I don't think making it so complex it's confusing should ever be a goal of any crime/thriller story. For me, a good story leaves you with "damn, it all makes sense now" by the end, and not with "it all makes sense now, right? I think so... but I'm not sure. Would have to rewatch it maybe a 3 times to make sure nothing contradicts itself and it's cohesive as a plot", and I'm scared this will end up in that 2nd category, if they keep adding new things, instead of expanding the ideas they already have.
Also, I have a question/complaint about the plot, will hide it under spoiler in a reply
Coz the pills don;t make people killers, they make them hallucinate. A planner murder cannot really be excused by a spontaneous hallucination... Also... he only took 2 pills. I think this is all a misdirect (a pretty obvious one) to make him a "possible" killer, when the killer is someone else (someone working for Jang Gi Do).
