Obviously for the plot it was rigged, tho makes little sense. It could be potentially possible for the 1st selection - the mailing one is something that technically could be done, but how they rigged a picking balls from a ball is beyond me π€£
Also... I'm sorry for the people who got killed/will get killed for the revenge but am I more sorry or happy to see the evil assholes suffer? π€ The villains are one of the reasons this screams soft makjang - they are comically evil, dense and hypocritical. there is NO complexity about them, they are there to be evil π€£
The picking of jurors was rigged - how tho... with balls randomly being picked I don't know yet lol But I think they will try to tell us that everyone is related to the past story one way or another. Another reason why it screams soft majang - dramatic connections and reveals that have no place in reality.
Sung Joon? No brain. Dude was admitted to the hospital, someone got killed at that time... and instead of thinking how anyone with brain would - I guess he was not the killer, he went - how did he kill her? π€‘ And later the whole police goes "AH YES THE COPYCAT!" even tho the story is far less probable and they have to do some mental gymnastics to make it work. Tho that kind of makes sense - police would rather create a theory that will not expose their mistake than admit they were wrong.
What was the exact moment I knew this show has no braincells and is just stupid entertainment? When th shaman lady started barking... that's the moment I knew I should not take this show seriously and just enjoy the over the top crime makjang ride.
Also... why they forgot about defense wounds. Coco mom literally broke her nails trying to fight the killer. They were not even trying to check if anyone has any wounds while they were investigation π€£ Love me plot holes, no brain actions like that - typical of a makjang.
Taec's character is for sure not the killer, we all know it. They are trying to be smart about it, creating all sorts of misdirects, but in such a lazy way I cannot. Honestly, they biggest plot twist of this show would be him actually being the killer π€‘
More likely Taec is the small kid with big ears (obviously), and the current killer is the one that took the lead in that group of kids and was sharing his food and planning the escape. And Sung Hoon is that kid.
Random thing I love about crime shows - all serial killers being into arts lol Making scrapbooks for the victims, here a small figurines etc π€£
The overacting from all the villains is AMAZING. So funny and entertaining I am loving it hahaha
Conclusion - everything about this show is makjang crime bullshit. I will watch it for entertainment and laughs, not thrills. Will enjoy the whole ride and then rate it like 7 π€£
More about my thoughts on episode 3 & 4 and why I think it's soft makjang in a comment below.
Both doc and Gyeo Re knew he woke up, why their conversation were still cryptic? Why not tell Gyeo Re - his personality did not change, he is pretending. His injuries were not severe enough for the personality change. He is lying. Let's figure out how to deal with it now.
No one doing anything about this makes zero sense. Even the mob makes little sense. So the current head knew Seok Joon is not cut for this line of work and is a "softie" like Gyeo Re and Joon Kyung, and yet he kept him close and asked him to do some serious job? And then he is surprised he finally broke down? Even tho he knew he can;t handle all this in long term and he just pretends? LoGiC.
Also, on what planet the new dude that took over the mafia would be like - a yeah the old boss showed up, time to give up all my power π€‘ He would assassinate the old boss the same day he got the callπ€£
The whole mob part of the show truly brings nothing to the show. All the messages could be told without it having so much focus. It could all be just a background/back story... I'm just so annoyed about it all. Every time anything related to it happens, it's so ridiculous I get annoyed, and it does not matter how amazing the next scene might be, I still have the bad taste left from the previous one.
She was slim in the past, never that skinny. It does make the difference. I'm sure she had botox/filler, young actresses have them too, everyone is industry does. But I cannot say with 100% certainty she had a plastic surgery.
Also, I am watching her interviews for Love in Contract and her face is rather expressive. she goes natural full smile and all. Sure she has no wrinkles... that's the fillers, not plastic surgery.
Anyway, what I mean is, the change is not drastic enough that it cannot be explained by her getting older, getting fillers and loosing weight. Is there a chance she had plastic surgery? Sure. Can you be 100% sure? No.
She always had more fat on her face, rounder cheeks and face. But now with this extreme weight loss (and she is REALLY SKINNY), her face got more slim, cheeks more shallow.
I'm so curious about Jung Ji Ho tho. That's some good set up for the mystery.
As long as the reasoning by the end will be solid.
Love me Min Young playing a 30+ years old woman who apparently puts make p daily, but cannot put a lipstick on π
Sang Eun and Gwang Nam? Iconic duo β
They did not show the killer during the killing, but would reveal it literally few seconds later? Makes no sense story telling wise. For me, it makes more sense it's someone from law firm.
Thoughts after 2 episodes - Love it.
The chemistry in May It Please the Court was so good and intense and overall attention gripping. Jung Ryeo Won and Lee Kyu Hyung work so well on screen together!
2nd half of episode 2 was awesome. The last few scenes? fuck sake yes! We all know what they revealed by the end of the episode cannot be true, but DAMN I WISH IT WAS! How fucking exciting this show would be if it was! π Still got set up, even if we know it's a misdirect.
I need episode 3 - I think that's a good indication of how much I liked the first 2.
Also, what makes me extremely happy is the fact it's just 12 episode. There is a hope it will be as tight and thrilling till the end with no senseless bullshit fillers.
Anyway, for the opening week episodes - Kate's Approved ππ»
