People who watch the show are not just either massive fans or haters. There are people who are in the middle - see the good, see the bad.
Jang Uk kept being lucky and learning new skills.
Mu Deok... supporting Jang Uk (that's it)
Villans barely doing anything
So I's plotline that took too much time with how little true value it had to the overall plot.
The rest plot lines were side plots, comedy, love lines and lore/backgrounds of the characters/past events - not part of the current plot happening, just what surrounds and set the plot up.
Realistically speaking... for almost 27 hours of content... that's not much current plot.
Like, we can literally see what's the pacing and plot progression in the show, we already seen 2/3rd of it.
at best they can tell it, that's why I said it's gonna be either narration or dialogue between the characters...
Unless her soul also shifts to a different body, but then it brings another issue of explaining what happens to the original owner... and how any normal body can even contain the power she possesses... and they only have 10 episodes to tell all the stories... I don't even want to think about it 🤣
I mean, when I got into kdramas for the first time years ago, I rated Boys Over Flowers 10/10 🤣
The idea that the most powerful priestess in the history was just chilling when all that bad things were happening to her body, when they previously showed how she is able to resist all kinds of magic is just poor writing and cheap way to get rid of a character that they themselves set up to be extremely powerful...
It's true that this drama lacks EXTREMELY in terms of the portrayal of female characters, but I would argue the sacrifice itself was not one of the issues.
Right when the AoS finished airing I actually downvoted quite a few low rated reviews, because they were completely not helpful, not presenting any ideas, and opinions of the person who wrote them - pure "I dislike it and that's it" (stuff like that should be kept in comment section alone, since it's not really a review). There is a massive issue with reviews on this website (be it new account writing to "manipulate" final rating (being it giving 10s or 1s), people writing reviews without even seeing one episode "because they are excited about the show" etc. Mass down votes just adds to the issue. Because then people don't look at the quality of the review itself, but just the rating the person gave.
And I see you also have reading comprehension issues. I started my comment in that comment section with saying I am not judging the show, but the reaction of people after watching the show. Two completely different things. For me, checking out people's reactions is as much of an entertainment as watching the show. I even went through the reviews of AoS and check people's completed dramas to see if the number of wuxia dramas they have seen had anything to do with how much they liked/disliked the show.
But even IF I ever commented I hate a show under a show I did not watch (which never happened), it would be still less harmful than asking other users to mass downvote reviews. Personally I don't care. I survived the flood of criticism after my TharnType review, I can survive anything, my review as far as I know can be at the bottom.
BUT there are a lot of either younger or more sensitive users, to whom knowing their review got a lot of downvotes would be extremely sad, disappointing etc. There are a lot of impressionable kids on this website.
Not gonna argue about the show, but your behavior is quite childish.
Hopefully this show will open the door for many users to check out Chinese wuxia dramas, since this is that... just Korean, mainstream commercialized version.
