Review Once Again Spoiler
About the ending.

First of all… I get that Ji Hoon decided to save Jae Woo knowing he will die. Why did he not even TRY to defend himself? Bring a knife or any type of a weapon. He just stood there, LITERALLY hands down, waiting to be stabbed. Why did he not try to fight back? Whatever emotional impact this scene might have had, was gone. That’s just natural selection.

Then there is this whole “different Jae Woo next 15 years later” or something like that. Is this drama supposed to tap into the “all timelines are happening all the time at the same time, so they will keep meeting over and over again all the time?”. That’s dumb. It works practically, but none of them will have the memories, since they were always experiencing it for the first time in all time lines… So from the perspective of that specific Ji Hoon, this makes a shitty explanation.

And then we had a cherry on top, Joo Hyung Jin, who is supposed to be 40 in the present timeline, looking exactly like his 25 years old self in the past and me feeling like a 🤡 You could have cast someone to act as him… Anyone. I would rather have a guy who does not look that similar to him, but the right age, than this baby face guy trying to convince me he is a 40 years old lawyer with his own law firm.

There is one good thing about the ending - that’s when it hits you, it was never about saving Ji Hoon, but Jae Woo dealing with his trauma that more or less stopped him from enjoying life. He said it himself, from the age of 10 to the end of high school he basically never left his room. Then he ran away from his issues, started university and did his military service, but it was clear he was not really happy. With the experience of meeting Ji Hoon, he was finally able to take that step and start living in the present, not being dragged down by the past events.

Yea, that amnesiac guy reminds me of the movie Memento. Also, this drama is only 12 episodes total, so things are…
yeah, I keep forgetting it's just 12 episodes, and we are in fact half way through. The pacing is good.

So theory time - Chi Sik is using the guy who lost his wife to kill the dudes. He tells him via phone his wife died because of them, and since he doesn't remember shit, he can be fooled every time. Random, I know 🤣

The killer is obviously NOT Si Baek and I don't think Gi Do is related. He just fine with it coz it's short term solving his issues.

Happy to finally see Jang Yi Yeon. I LOVE Park So Jin and I think she is one of the most talented idols turned actresses out there.

Hope Gyeong Jin Detective will be smart. For now, I am not annoyed even tho she sees Si Baek as a suspect, but I can't blame her, dude seems sus as fuck. He is sus as fuck. He ain't a killer, but he sus.

It only been 6 episode, but feels like 10 🤣

Truth be told, I never pegged Bai Jing Ting as being able to carry the role of a police officer. < same. But I was convinced he can actually pull if of rather fast while I was watching the drama. Overall, the performances were really strong in the show.

Great review I must say 😊

For sure worth being taken hostage to meet dude like that 🤣

Mi Ka and Chief Shao were amazing. I loved the mentor mentee dynamics and I honestly wish we got to see more of it!
Also, same here for the 2nd leads romance. I think it was too much and dragged too long.

Really nice review ☺

I feel like 40 episodes was too long, 32 would be max I would see as appropriate for a story like that. And 100% agreed on the mains and the lack of growth/development. The problem is - they started from such a good place, with no true flaws and issues... there was nothing to developed. That's why it's important to give the characters some type of flaws and conflicts...

Both worlds are given equal time < this was something I appreciated too. It's rare for a drama to find the balance between scenes of the two professions shown.

Extra kudos for making the FL realistic and not coating her in make up and dressing her up in ridiculously fashionable/tight clothing < THIS! The thing I loved te most about her styling was her hair - her just having a normal daily hairstyle that the actress was truly able to do herself on the spot. Small detail, but added the realism to the character.

For the mouth to mouth part, more and more studies show that it's not necessary, and actually stopping chest compressions for it might be even bad. It's also not recommended because of the possible disease transmission. So I would not say it was completely inaccurate.

Great review! 👍🏻

I look forward to Kang Ji Gu’s romance with possibly Mr. Nice Paper < I am so curious. They seem so different, yet I feel like they will match perfectly.

As for the drinking, it must have been exaggerated. At some nights they drunk enough to get alcohol poisoning, but they barely had a hangover 🤣

When you thought the drama started full of injustice... but then there is even more injustice 🤡 Can I handle it?
Goo Tae Man is awful but it's so hard to hate him...

I'll survive thanks to Cha Ga Eul and Lee Moo Gyeol. They are adorable.
Will I survive tho? Oh Dal Sung is like a cockroach - no matter what, he never dies. By now I would take one for the time and kill him myself. Where is the white truck of doom when we need it?

Half way through, and it's still good quality and it does not seem to go down even a bit. It's a miracle in kdramas. Ending on a good quote:

“𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒚𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒓𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒖𝒔”

Honestly, I would say it's an action driven show with a decent plot (since, if you remove the zombies, it is literally like any other saeguk show...). It's not a bad thing, I had fun watching. But I agree they could have develop the characters a little bit more. The sakes are extremely high, but since I barely know the characters, I don;t feel emotionally attached to them...

Great review 👍🏻

how were the first two eps? is it worth a try?
Fun and fluff with bit of mystery. The characters are refreshing.
FL is money driven, but in a realistic and somehow likeable way.
ML is "cold", but not really - he is a good guy, just really into cheering and his job as a president of the club.
SML is a playboy, but with a good heart, not an asshole. He is straightforward, but it does not feel like he is forcing himself on FL.

Overall, fun.

"I'll use my school name value to climb the ladder of capitalism and become the star of rags-to-riches story" aka the best quote in any drama ever 🤣

Have to say, the whole show is adorable. Besties of FL and 2nd ML are the definition of hype and sweet and they are my favorites.

Review Today's Webtoon Spoiler
Don't expose me, I blanked out whenever he was on screen 🤫🤣🤣🤣
Not surprised... he was truly the most useless villain I have ever seen in any drama ever 🙃
jpny01 Oct 3, 2022
Great review! I agree that they did barely anything to flesh out Akira and give him some depth. He did not even try to somehow figure out the situation he was is - he just reacted to things happening...
_Kelp_ Oct 3, 2022
I appreciated how mundane the setting was because of the laundromat hahaha
Also, 100%agreed on the cast - they did a fantastic job with the characters :D
sony_t Oct 3, 2022
definitely too long, so it started to feel painfully repetitive.
totally agree that the side characters were fun, and I liked them individually too, but the side romances did nothing to me...

Review Today's Webtoon Spoiler
well the villain sucked, but he was not really just doing his job. He was trying to close the webtoon section not because it was truly not doing well, but because he had stakes in other webtoon company, so he wanted that coin if the two merge 🤣

but yeah... this drama ain't it. I loved it at first, but my love died down quite fast too 🙃

Donghee & Daeryuk's storyline was one of my favorites too. And The episode that focused on Donghee was for sure my favorite and the most memorable one.

Great, detailed review :)

Review Peninsula Spoiler
I share the same thoughts after finishing it. No emotional scenes had any true value, because they either were not set up properly, or the had a happy twists before the sad emotions truly hit (like the mother deciding to scarify herself to give the kids time to run away at the end).

I also agree about the action. First fight was fun, first car chase with zombies was fun... but the movie was full of more or less the same scenes, they started to loose the charm.
