Let's not deceive ourselves. The bullying plot and revenge is the main stuff there is worth to watch. I just mostly…
The issue it, the useless investigation and everything around Jin Ah takes 1/3 of the show, making it good at best. If I have to skip 1/3 of the show, is the show really good? Any show is a masterpiece if I skip all the parts I don't like or are poorly written 🤣🤣

I have to say, half of the show is amazing, half of the show is awful.
Everything about the post bullying and now the revenge is awesome.
All the investigation is extremely poorly written it makes me laugh.
Everyone involved in the investigation is either annoying, dumb or insignificant .

I like though, how it shows whenever you are a victim or the perpetrator depends on the perspective, and with episode 10 it kind of shows most of these teens were both (yes, it includes all the bullies from their class).

The only person who was evil and not a victim even 0.000001% was the homeroom teacher/principal or whatever he was at the school.

Title Our Blues
Let people drop it 4 seconds in episode 1 if they want to. It's not like it affects anyone.
If they dislike one character after 2 episodes and want to drop? Valid. It's not like we have to wait another few months for a new drama to come out. Each country is dropping new content all the time, why watch something that makes them frustrated, when they can watch something they will enjoy from the start?

It's not that deep. I dropped dramas 8 minutes in episode 1 in the past ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If some of y'all are dropping it because Hansoo. You guys are boring motherf*ckers. Sorry I had to say it. Goodbye.
Relax, it's not that deep. I dropped dramas 8 minutes in episode 1 coz they "did not feel right" 🤣 With the number of dramas coming out from all the countries, people don't have to "watch more to see if they will like it later" if they can pick another drama they will love from the start.

There is literally no reason to call people names just coz they dropped drama early on based on one aspect they disliked ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

"I suppose in BL it takes a man who has lived 3 lifetimes to actually understand that conversation is what’s required to make a relationship work. " < omg this is so true 🤣

I agree that the romance was underdeveloped. They were not a couple and the next scene they were, and the next scene they broke up and I felt like nothing led to any of this things to even happen.

You are right about the ending. There was no satisfying conclusion as we never saw them actually talk it out etc. They were just crying and then they were back together 🙃

There were so many ways they could have gone with this plot, and they went nowhere. I feel like this would work way better as a short movie, woth many things left for the interpretation of the viewer. Coz this type of plot you either have to keep vague so people can add their own meaning to it, or go into detail and depth, which they could not do with such a short format...

Anyway, wasted potential it was.

Well, I like to think I pointed out valid criticisms in my review. Either you read all and you are able to point out how my criticisms are not valid and I'm just a "little child who complain about this and that", or you are talking from your ass when you did not in fact read it all, yet you still put everyone in the same box¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Reviews are reviews, comments are comments. It's important to use proper words to describe what you mean, I don't read your mind, neither do other users on mdl. Unless you are clear, no one will know what you truly mean.

"Also if you are someone who doesn't like this and is going to reply with a mundane thing that should make me hate this drama then please don't waste your time." < I did not comment about the drama at all. I commented about how you generalize all people who dislike it as just haters ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe you should re-read what you wrote first. I did not try to "make you hate this show" I just pointed out some people have valid reasons to complain.

Everything is subjective. Things you see as small issues might be game changers for others. Both valid. Yet, you are the ones putting people who disliked it into a box of haters as if their opinions are less valid than the ones who enjoyed the show. You loving the show has as much merit as an opinion of person who dislike it. Why? Coz it's all subjective based on personal taste anyway.

Review Hikaru no Go
I agree completely! The last few episodes after Chu Ying were truly amazing and beautiful and made the drama complete. They could not just move on and make it less of a tragic and important moment of Shi Guang's life, when he depended on Chu Ying for so long, and he was such an integral part of his life. I think they dealt with the loss perfectly.

Review Hikaru no Go
While the close interaction didn’t happen till the last episode you can feel their connection from their very first meeting. < this was one of the things I was most impressed with. The characters had amazing chemistry and we could see how they influence each other even tho they barely shared the screen together.

It's because I couldn't imagine being interested in a series about a game I know nothing about. < I relate to this so much. For you it was thanks to AvenueX, for me it were all the positive posts about the series on mdl feeds 🤣

Review Hikaru no Go
"Also special mention to Fang Xu, I had initially pegged him as a stock standard character ready for revenge and superficial acclaim, but he surprised me with character complexity and dilemmas that lifted his character to a higher dimension." < this! Honestly, when the character was introduced, I was afraid we would get the "typical villain" and he would end up being jealous of Yu Liang's skill at the young age etc. I was truly amazingly happy his character turned out to be a complete opposite to what I expected.

I am so happy that the reviews are getting positive again < there are literally only 14 reviews below 8, and at least half of them are either dropped or "on-going" so one one truly pays attention to them. The point is, the reviews were never majority negative in the first place 🙃

Also, putting everyone into the category of "hate train", when some people had valid criticisms is a bit ridiculous. I'm not calling people crazy bias fans for liking the show, would appreciate if fans were as nice and not put everyone in the same box either. People have different tastes - your 10 might be someone's 1, and someone's 10 might be your 1. There is no hate train going. Just some people liking it, and some people disliking it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think feelings are a lot more complex and irrational than that. But my criticism would be that the main couple was pretty unconvincing. < true. I feel like the spent too much time disappointing each other, screaming at each other and overall having rather negative interactions compared to the few good ones. And I completely agree with the siblings vibes they gave.

I agree that they aced the acting. Honestly speaking, I was surprised how well Bright did as Thyme. Still, my favorite cast member was Thyme's mother. DAMN, she was scary.

I also enjoyed how we had more F4 as friends scenes. Not gonna lie, I barely remember any other version that Korean, but that one mostly focused on rivalry between ML and SML, and we did not really get that much of these 4 being actually friends. So that was for sure a nice change in the Thai ver, :)

Great review! :)

Ren's fire alarm scene was shot so well! Visually stunning. I rewatched it 3 times when I was watching that episode. Production wise, I have to say, they did everything they could to make this drama visually appealing.

ps. realistically speaking, there is no such a thing as objective rating of any art form, since there are no general objective standards 🙂 Especially on mdl 🤣

Thyme's mother was so well cast! I honestly think it's the only adaptation where she truly felt scary and I believed she could do all these things and be such a force in Thyme's life to control him like that.

I think the sow did huge disservice to itself with last... 3-4 episodes? They kept making Thyme go back to his old self every time something bad happened, and it just made me not believe in his character development. I mean, f4 had t literally kidnap him and tell him how his actions while managing the company are wrong... If this still needs to be explained to him in episode 15... I don't believe he turned good 🙃

That said, it was nice to read your review. I might have not liked it as much, but I'm glad many people had such a blast watching.
