Honestly speaking, everything that happened so far seems like a long ass exposition, and should have been cut down to 2-3 episodes. It feels like the plot will truly only start now, with all the characters having more clear motivation, goals etc. But we have less than half of the number of eps left 🙃

Yes, this had that low-key sitcom vibe to it. I actually enjoyed it quite a lot.
I completely agree on the acting - truly good. I am so use to mediocre delivery in BLs, I was pleasantly surprised here :)

this drama was something special. We all agree it was not really good, but we also all agree fightor is life 🤣

If the synopsis is kinda offputting to you then that's normal but I guarantee you that it works. < I literally did not plan to watch it coz of that ridiculous premise, but everyone was like "IT'S SOOO GOOD" so I gave in, and they were right. Somehow it works SO WELL.

I literally forgot about real life while watching The Untamed. 5 days of me not existing in realisty was I was binge watching.
there is no moral absolutism in this world < this was one of the best aspects of the whole drama!

I'm more of an Emperor type of girl, but PingPing was extremely interesting too.
Overall, the variety of the well written characters here was something we do not see often in shows.

Most people I know (if they check anything) they check comments and that's the sentiment I hear on mdl a lot. Since comments are usually shorter and easier to digest compared to reviews (that last part is just my assumption).

That's why I don't get dramas pass for "little screen time coz of shorter format" coz it's possible to do good job with anything.

aesthetic were truly good. For a short drama like that, I took quite a number of screen shots. That was probably my favorite part. I truly enjoy the aesthetics that are similar to web dramas and smaller production shows.

I was laughing the whole time watching the cart driving date. It made no sense in the context of who the characters are 🤣
I honestly had a little bit of expectation because it was collaboration with Thailand, and they are the leading country for BLs at the moment. Rather than lower quality than other k-BLs, I was expecting some improvement because of that collaboration 🙃

Can't talk for others, but I brought in my comment Taxi Driver not because it's a drama I personally disliked, but rather because it's completely different from this show (in any aspect one can think of) while also dealing with crime - and ALL people who wrote lower rated reviews for Through the Darkness rated this one high (2 out of 3 giving it 10).

So it made sense for me to use that drama as an example to point out that if someone's taste is rather action packed, fast pace exciting thrills, it's obvious they will most likely dislike this one.

I prefer slow paced shows, so this one fits my taste quite well :)

As someone who loves watching content about criminal profilers, this show is definitely my favorite k-drama regarding to topic to date < 100% same!

Here's the thing, I'm pretty sure people who disliked the show are downvoting the higher rated reviews. No other reasons for reviews with more upvotes to be lower than the ones with less 🙃
