I find that I drop so many c-dramas. Especially the super long historical dramas that are always similarly themed,…
Classics are only left with the sentimental value (except from Coffee Prince, this one is still gold). I tried to rewatch BoF this year and I simply could not do that. It was too bad and the characters were too annoying.

Interesting article! I don't really drop dramas since I'm picky about what I watch anyway. If I do drop something,…
oh... i still put the dramas i dropped few minutes in on dropped list, but i add note it happened like that. Otherwise I might pick them up later by an accident since they are not on any of my lists hahaha

I haven't being watching dramas for as long as some people have but I did went trought that journey of notdropping/dropping…
Agreed, last statement was on point. Also, watching dramas should be a form of relax and entertainment so forcing yourself to watch stuff you don't enjoy is just a waste of time.

What "white truck of doom" means?
so basically it;s one of the overused kdrama tropes when a main character gets hit by a truck (or no basically any car). Usually it leads to amnesia or another "plot twist".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgGhZDXkfUU here is a whole crack video about it (spoilers for many dramas tho)

I've been the same for almost 2 years now I just stop watching and put them hold for future that doesn't seem…
the on hold is a scary place tbh. Coz we always like: I will watch it eventually, but we never do. It's more or less often just dropped 2.0

At first I was really good at watching dramas, I would never drop them even though some started to bore me and…
I totally understand you. I actually didn't like that much any of the dramas you names here. and I did drop some of the mdl favorites too like Nirvana in Fire and now It's Okay To Not Be Okay.
I'm just glad I was able to move away from "I mist finish everything" coz it was exhausting and watching was not much of a joy back then

I almost, almost ^^, never drop a drama. It's because I'm really cautious with what I watch actually. The plot…
oh, yeah I start watching anything and everything, so it;s given I will end up dropping some hahaha maybe if I was more careful with picking, it would look differently

I always push trough to finish tho if it's bad usually it is half a**ed watched skipping past lots of scenes xD
yeah I did that too, but at some point it started to feel like such a waste of time, I moved on to dropping lol

oh, what is it?
so over half way through. If you truly struggle: drop. Everyone praised Nirvana in Fire and it's one of the highest rated dramas on the mdl, I dropped it 20 episodes id. You watch the shows for yourself, not for others. Just coz everyone likes it, does not mean you are obligated to like it too

relatable af. Especially the hopeful try.
happy you found this relatable. I'm honestly surprised how many people did :)

This is a really interesting article! I can relate to the first stage of not wanting to drop dramas, however instead…
oh yeah, getting that speed faster is something I practice too :D

I use to have a rule of no dropping dramas. I think I held true to that for about two years... and then I watched…
oh, no I have to put it somewhere, the drama I drop on the first episode. Either dropped (if I just know I won't like to pick it up) or not interested. So in the future I won't pick it up again by an accident coz it;s not on any of my lists.

omg! I relate so bad to the ptw and books on bookshelves! I had the same problem. Now I just decided to go shelve…
Thank you so much for enjoying the article! It makes me so happy to know it was a good read and not waste of time for others :)

So true! I tend to not watch ongoing dramas, and almost every K drama I've watched gets so boring in the middle…
I love watching ongoing dramas! I think talking about them on feeds makes the process of watching that more fun and enjoyable for me :)
and you are yet another person who gets bored around the middle of the drama, tho post people said that "breaking point" is episode 12 hahahaha

I looove this article! I'm going to print it and put it on my wall to remind me it's okay to drop dramas.I used…
I did finish Hyde, Jekyll. Me, but I wished I dropped it lol it was truly not a good show hahaha
also, omg... so many people said exactly the same thing, that they get bored around episode 12! There must be something to it. I guess it;s coz they slow down a bit, the main plot is slowly getting solved and they drop some ridiculous plot twists right at that time...

I used to not even be able to skip 10 seconds of a drama, let alone drop one. However, I've come to the realization…
omg! I relate so bad to the ptw and books on bookshelves! I had the same problem. Now I just decided to go shelve by shelve and read the books I have not read yet.
As for my ptw, some time ago I went from like 500 titles to 134. I removed all the movies and put them in a custom list + I added priority level on the dramas that I left on ptw. This helps a lot.

This was nice article to read, so thanks (also easy to follow as a person who has dyslexia) !! I myself have hard…
Was it really easy to read! omg. This makes me so happy. Would you mind point out what made it easy to follow, so if I write more, I can incorporate it to other articles as well?
I see quite a lot of people who don't drop dramas are just more careful about picking what to start watching :)

I rarely dropped but I do skip scenes since it can be just long camera pans & also bc I am a busy person tryna…
I feel you. Sometimes I skip some seconds here and there to get to the dialog ot any actions. Sure, some aesthetic shots are nice, but damn at times I have no time and patient for them.

Have you ever regretted dropping a drama at first? o,o
Not really. I mean, it;s not like I can't pick it up again later on, even if I drop it.
Like right now I'm doing this 2nd chance project. The same way I dropped a drama, now I can un-drop it hahaha
