Glad it was relatable :) I tired to write it in light and entertaining way :D

I hate dropping kdramas. So, even if I don’t like a Kdrama, I try to like it and finish it no matter what for…
damn.. sounds bad. I usually watch around 7-12 dramas at the same time... since I LOVE watching currently airing ones. I could not even imagine watching only one show...

Oh my God! I have been there. Not a pretty phase of life. Every time I picked a new drama, somehow dropped it.…
oh, I focus mostly on Koreans dramas, but I get some fresh plots from Thai and Chinese that I watch from time to time.
Truth to be told, I don';t mind dropping shows. I can have more shows dropped than completed and I could not care less.

Once I got comfortable with dropping dramas it was great. You don't have to continue something bad just cause…
exactly! My life got so much better and i started to enjoy watching shows so much more when I started to drop them :D

LOL. why is this a real issue and why do i relate to this. I'm totally the same. Started off with the mindset…
it's true that the market for dramas is a bit much. Every month there are new dramas coming out and we all simply don't have enough time to watch them all.

And Chinese dramas just don't do shorter format... it pains me coz 60 episodes is quite a dedication to finish...

I use 1.25 and 1.5 speed quite often but 2x is reserved for youtube and youtube only. I could not focus on what is going on on the screen with such a fast speed lol

omg the comment section and the TKEM hahaha I agree! Tho I did drop it, but every week everyone posted such a funny memes on feeds here on mdl. It was a good and entertaining time on mdl when TKEM aired hahaha

I'm only 26 and I feel the same. At times I watch a show and I'm like "damn... I'm too old for this... what is going on?" hahaha

I completely relate to your article XD. I haven't fully reached the last stage, I'm somewhere in between rational…
It amazes me that so many people can relate not only to the dropping dramas, but also some of the stages I went through hahaha
4 to 6 episodes sounds fair tho :D

I definitely completed a lot of dramas that I should’ve dropped when I was a newbie, but after 4 years I’ve…
3 episodes is definitely more fair than me dropping them on the first one hahaha
And I feel you on rom coms. I like romance in other genres, but just rom coms feel boring to me...

I tried to finished all dramas I watch. so when it is a bad drama, I will get more dissapointed and give 1 point…
oh yeah, i never rated a drama 1, simply coz all the ones I might have, have been dropped and I don't rate dropped dramas :D

I definitely was in a phase of skipping scenes a couple of weeks ago and it felt like a life saver honestly because…
I've seen over 400 korean dramas and movies, and i don't think I will ever get tired of them. I just feel like the production style is made for me haha but it;s true at some point it all feels repetitive. That's why I mix it with Thai and Chinese dramas from time to time :)

I'm dropping dramas more than you. Seriously there's a lot in my currently watching and on-hold that I want to…
yeah, the taste changes badly as you watch more dramas. At first I was happy with the rom coms with massive plot holes and abusive male leads, now I need something more to grab my attention.
I also feel you on the lack of friends in real life who watch dramas. None of the people I know do. That's why I found myself some amazing friends here on mdl :)

Thank you for the hilarious article Kate and I have to say that your process of dropping dramas is a bit similar…
We have quite similar "background" in dramas. Tho I started watching them in middle school, I also started with BOF, You're Beautiful etc. Tho my first drama ever was Hana Kimi :)
I guess with time we learned that there is more to dramas than rom coms with rude male leads :D

You just described me in an article. Why is it so hard to finish dramas? I always drop dramas even if I dont add…
oh... I drop dramas easily, but I also start them easily. I like the poster? I pick it up (without even reading the plot lol), I like side character actor? I start a show lol

I'm happy so many people could relate to the article and vent their frustration in comments :)

how long have you been watching dramas? Coz this was exactly me at the beginning: everything was fun and interesting and I was watching too many at the same time hahaha

I needed this because I REALLY want to drop the liar and his lover. I feel bad for doing so but I also am sick…
Hope you will be able to move on from that show soon!
There are many more dramas to enjoy out there :)

I'm a sucker for Chinese dramas, and they are usually 40/50+ episodes. So instead of getting addicted to dropping,…
exactly. the time we spend forcing ourselves to finish a drama we don't enjoy can be spend on the show that we actually enjoy! :D Glad you've been able to learn how to drop the show without feeling weird/bad/frustrated about it :)

My dropped is basically never used these days. I went through the everything on hold goes into the dropped phase…
Are you picky when starting dramas? I see that many people who don't really drop shows, are usually more careful when picking things to watch, and usually have to be sure, they will enjoy it.
It might not be the case for you tho :)

Wow... 4 times? That's some dedication, I could never do that. I'm willing to give a show 2nd chance, but that's it hahaha
