Have no trouble dropping anything from anywhere. Have stopped watching many that had good reviews(ie: Goblin,…
oh, I know the feeling of dropping shows that majority of people loves and are obsessed with. Like now, I dropped It;s Okay to Not Be Okay and I have no regrets.

honestly i do like you, in 1 episode i can choose to stay or drop the drama. it just the feeling i get from just…
oh yeah, the Chinese dramas are different for me too. I'm willing to watch a bit more of them before I drop, since the plot tends to be a bit slower and they have more plot lines and characters.

To be honest, I don't really like to drop dramas or even skiping scenes,I really hate to do it (ok, once I did…
oh, I'm quite liberal on what dramas I start watching. Too many times I picked some random show that looked like I won't enjoy it, just to become one of my favorites. Since my interested are quite broad. The only genres I truly can't stand are long family dramas, pure melodramas and lakorns < these I don't even try.

Thank you so much for liking my article too :)

I don't drop a lot of dramas but I think I skipped scenes in all of them
as I read comments I see a lot of people skip scenes. Or watch dramas 2x speed :) You are not the only one

wow... 5-7... it's around how many I pick up per month. We all have different ways of watching tho. You are strict…

Your article was well written and so much enjoyable to read! Refreshing I gotta say!
awww, thank you so much. I wrote it right after I finished writing my master's thesis. I guess I missed writing just for me and pure enjoyment, so I was able to relax more and make it a bit more entertaining :)

I discovered the "not interested" category in which I doomed quite a few of those series that previously were…
oh, I have quite a lot of dramas on "not interested" list too. It's a blessing tbh to have it.
My watchlist is a mess, since I don't update my ratings. So the things I rated high back in the days still have these high ratings lol

wow, that's funny hahaha I guess that's your pet peeve. I feel you tho, this type of scene was overused so much, I get annoyed with it too...

Nice article! :) My stages were a bit different though:When I started watching kdramas, I used to drop almost…
wow. that's really interesting, that you struggled so much to finish dramas at the beginning.
Reading what you are saying, I guess you just like shows with elements of fantasy. The korean ones you named that you enjoyed have it :)

hahaha, it was a fun read. I can relate a lot, but at the same time, my experience was very different. My first…
it amazes me when people say they tried to watch show 3 or more times... like damn. I can barely give them 2nd chance, no way I would try 3rd...

And I guess that's also the case, that once you watch a truly good show, it's hard to find something to follow up (and Gokusen was that for you, I assume).

Thanks for sharing your method. Isn't 1 ep. is a bit too soon to know if the drama can be dropped? You should…
I mean... if it was not meant to be... If it takes me 30 minutes to watch first 10 minutes of drama, it;s obviously not for me.
I will give Big Issue another go, since I'm doing the 2nd chance project :)

I give any good-sounding dramas at least one episode. Only if it really sucks will I stop there.
I pick up shows that don;'t even sound that good, might be why I drop so often haha

that's a glow up! Drop them boring dramas! :D

Oh Boys Over Flowers being favorite drama? I can relate! Same here, tho for me, I was obsessed with Kim Bum. Since in BoF he played that definition of the mysterious bad boy that was hurt in the past and now needs a good girl to help him love again hahahaha omg this sounds so ridiculous now hahaha

I'm shocked how many people related to what I have written but it makes me crazy happy :)

I stopped feeling guilty about dropping quite some time ago. Even if it;s a show with the best cast I could dream of, if it's ain't made for me, I will not finish it :)

oh, I enjoyed Goblin quite a lot. But The King: Eternal Monarch: dropped without any regrets. I just could not take it, the writing was not that good in my eyes...

omg really? That made me happy. Since the topic is nothing special, I tried to write in an engaging and entertaining way, happy I succeeded at least a bit :)

yeah, 4 episodes sounds fair. It's the introduction part + slowly getting into the plot. If that does not grab the attention, chances are the drama just not for you :)

I've yet to drop any drama because I like to finish shows even if I didn't love it or think of it as anything…
I was exactly the same when I just got into dramas... or rather for first few years. It took me long time to start dropping show... But I enjoy how I do it now. I'm willing to try any show, but I'm fine with dropping it if it's ain't my type.
