there were also a bunch of comments from people who changed their (initially low) rating after that last arc. nailing a good ending really makes a difference.

LOTFG and CD opened mid-airing though so the low number of ratings is easier to understand because people might be waiting to finish the show before they rate. anyway, the number of ratings is slowly rising now, we'll see where it falls in the end.

just wasn't sure where you were looking. there was a post just the other day mocking the head screenwriter after he gave an interview and even the first posts in my xhs feed were not complimentary so I was less sure than you.

in the forums, not the review section. you can search the title in douban (I use the actual website, not the mobile app), click discussion rather than group and it will show you various posts from multiple groups, not only the ones in the dedicated drama forum. most of the posts on 8.01 were negative but then again, the forums are usually more negative in general.

yes it's official. there's a link to its douban page in my comment. scores can still change in weeks after it's opened so we'll see where it settles in like a month.

it was in the forums during that first day but the number of raters is not that high so maybe it was mostly the fans who left ratings or the haters didn't care enough to.

there are so many stories of chance encounters with him. one of the funniest was when he missed the last train after a concert and bumped into fans who let him use their car because he was in a hurry (whatever China's version of Uber is) then he tried to add the fan to wechat so he could pay her back but the fan was like nooooooo.
